In fact you guys were over at your Dad's home where he is recovering from knee surgery Hope he is continuing to improve and is back on the golf course soon. Arlynn when you starting talking about seersucker fabric, I had a flashback of my handsome late husband, Doug. He had a blue and white seersucker suit that he looked so wonderful in! Doug loved to wear suits, ties and sportscoats which was required for his job. He never hesitated to dress up even if it wasn't for work. Thanks for sharing your haul and for sharing you!!!

It was a difficult day for me too but for a different reason as yesterday would have been my 40th wedding anniversary and it has been 5 years this April since his passing. My daughter in law had a really rough Mother's Day this year! My Son and his wife lost their baby girl,our first granddaughter Lainey Rose 🌹,this past Feb when she was 4 mo old. She was born 4 mo early at 1.2 pounds! She was such a fighter! She grew to be 6 pounds during her life in NICU. We had such a difficult time going through all of that trying times. This was a hard Mother's Day for us as well knowing what they were going through too. But just remember,God has them and they couldn't be in a better place and we will be with them eternally one day! Hi Arlynn, those clematis are absolutely stunning!! I have a suggestion for you to be able to put your wreath up on your door. I used to have the same problem until someone told me to get some rubber snakes and put them in my wreath. I usually put one on the very top so it’s not noticeable and then I work one in toward the bottom. I try to get them in a similar color to the wreath and make them blend in so they aren’t as visible but it has kept the birds out of my wreaths! I got my snakes from Amazon. I hope it works for you. Just know she was there in memory. Was that her kitchen aid that Chris painted? He did an amazing job. He is so talented. Were you able to keep a lot of her things from her kitchen or decor items?? You can always use them and feel the warmth from them belonging to her. It will get easier. We have to go thru the "Firsts" of every holiday and birthdays etc. Just know you have our support and love dear friend. Please, if it helps you to talk about Kristen, please do. Hi sweet Gareth, honestly, and you are probably going to chuckle about this. But, Chris is the one who literally placed the stakes in the yard and told the builder how to position the house on the lot *and* he took into consideration our big windows and where the sun would rise and set (it sets over by the garage). So we do not ever have a problem with glare on the tv because Chris really did think about where the sun would be throughout the day. :) ♥
@@AcornandOakCraft I swear Gareth, he amazes me every day, I would have NEVER thought to do what he did as far as positioning the house so that we weren't inundated with bright sunlight through these bit windows. You should have seen the two us out trapping through the woods measuring and driving in stakes so that the building knew how to position the house (they suggested that Chris do it too...amazing and we were so fortunate to be able to do it). :)

My daughter in law had a really rough Mother's Day this year! My Son and his wife lost their baby girl,our first granddaughter Lainey Rose 🌹,this past Feb when she was 4 mo old. She was born 4 mo early at 1.2 pounds! She was such a fighter! She grew to be 6 pounds during her life in NICU. We had such a difficult time going through all of that trying times. This was a hard Mother's Day for us as well knowing what they were going through too. But just remember,God has them and they couldn't be in a better place and we will be with them eternally one day! Hi Arlynn, those clematis are absolutely stunning!! I have a suggestion for you to be able to put your wreath up on your door. I used to have the same problem until someone told me to get some rubber snakes and put them in my wreath. I usually put one on the very top so it’s not noticeable and then I work one in toward the bottom. I try to get them in a similar color to the wreath and make them blend in so they aren’t as visible but it has kept the birds out of my wreaths! I got my snakes from Amazon. I hope it works for you. Hi Arlynn! OMG! Just to see you out side and singing just lifts my heart. The pool and flowers are just stunning. I know it was hard the first Mother's Day without Kristen. Just know she was there in memory. Was that her kitchen aid that Chris painted? He did an amazing job. He is so talented. Were you able to keep a lot of her things from her kitchen or decor items?? You can always use them and feel the warmth from them belonging to her. It will get easier. We have to go thru the "Firsts" of every holiday and birthdays etc. Just know you have our support and love dear friend. Please, if it helps you to talk about Kristen, please do. Hi Kim, we have used Murphy's Oil Soap before in our other house, but honestly, since we've lived here in this house, we only use Bona (the same solution that we use on the hardwood floors and that I use to dust the wood furniture). :) Thank you for your sweet words! ♥

Hi sweet Gareth, honestly, and you are probably going to chuckle about this. But, Chris is the one who literally placed the stakes in the yard and told the builder how to position the house on the lot *and* he took into consideration our big windows and where the sun would rise and set (it sets over by the garage). So we do not ever have a problem with glare on the tv because Chris really did think about where the sun would be throughout the day. :) ♥

@@AcornandOakCraft I swear Gareth, he amazes me every day, I would have NEVER thought to do what he did as far as positioning the house so that we weren't inundated with bright sunlight through these bit windows. You should have seen the two us out trapping through the woods measuring and driving in stakes so that the building knew how to position the house (they suggested that Chris do it too...amazing and we were so fortunate to be able to do it). :)

I knew yesterday would be rough for you and I am so sorry , it is thank goodness over and a new day is here. Chris has done a beautiful job on the yard, honestly it looks like a pro came over and landscaped. Very impressed with the mixer, good grief is there nothing he cant do?
