I can still remember how quiet the streets were every time pacquiao fought. Imagine, almost if not everybody in the 7 thousand plus islands in the Philippines watching him fight. Zero crime every time. The days of his fights were like holidays! Good old days!

this is what the people living in their echo chamber never realize that manny Pacquiao is chasing champions by going up weight classes (in their territory), beat the hell out them at their PRIME. Won and got 8 weight division titles. I don't know why they still think Mayweather is better. 50 wins with no loss worth nothing if that 50 fighters is already not at their prime.
Other than Manny Pacquiao, there's also Efren "Bata" Reyes who is arguably one of best if not the best pool/billiards player of all time. Both of them defied age. Both of them have inspirational stories of rags to riches relying only on their own talent.

Mayweathers record is only 50 and 0 a boxer who defeated unknown fighters.

11:06 That's the reason why Pacquiao is an 8-Division World Champion. He started his career malnourished and when he got fed properly, his body-mass index became normal and thus gained pounds. He had to move up in weight and didn't had the chance to defend and unified some of his belts because he cannot afford to wait for them so he just move on to the next weightclass and dominated them until he reached his limit at 154.

There are Tacticians, and then there are Warriors. Floyd is a Tactician and Manny is more of a fighter. But one thing is for sure. Manny the greatest boxer in Filipinos hearts and I'm glad I was born just at the right time to be able to witness his greatness

If Pacquiao was 100% or even was able take the shot to help with the pain. He would definitely beat Floyd

i was in elementary school when manny's career started, and the entire country followed manny's career since then .. i basically grew up watching pacman .. you dont have any idea how impactful pacman's fights in the Philippines .. we have PAY PER VIEWS in cinemas! those that cant afford the PPV, watched in free public viewing in every major basketball gymnasium in the country .. and that is EVERY CITY has atleast 2 or 3 gymnasiums, municipalities and provinces too .. every PACMAN fights are basically UNOFFICIAL NATIONAL HOLIDAYS !! everyone stops whatever they were doing, jobs! school! damn even our local terrorist and communist rebels will have a 1 day truce just to watch pacman play, even petty criminals like robbers, thieves, etc etc
I was in elementary school living on a faraway Island here in the Philippines during Pacman's prime, there was only 1 house that had a working TV with cable and their house was full every time Pacman had a fight, some people who couldn't watch Pacman's fight would listen to radio commentary of the fight to know what's going on and it was so memorable to me, Pacman really is a Legend and I consider him a Hero of the Philippines...

The first fight with marquez aint supposed to be a draw, the other judge just didnt know that its possible to score 6/10 in the first round so he decided to score 7/10. And he admitted that mistake. But damn marquez got close even with 3 KD in 1st round, what a beast. Other fighter's mentality would already be destroyed after that 3 KD and lose .
I know this vid's supposed to be about Manny, but the way Juan Manuel was able to zero in and adapt to Pacman's fighting style so quickly was amazing, with three more fights to further refine what he deduced. And I say this as a Filipino myself.

@@Anino_Makatathat last fight too. tbh, pac was dominating marquez the entire fight, but jmm stuck to his game plan and knew pac has a tendency to lunge in. freddie even warned pac that jmm was aiming for that punch. jmm definitely the only one that was able to figure out pacquiao during his prime. i don’t really count the mayweather fight because it was past both fighters’ prime, especially pacquiao, whose fighting style doesn’t age well (as evidenced by pac’s diminished activity in their fight)
Marquez is Pacquiaos greatest enemy. Mexicans are also built tough in boxing. Marquez vs Manny will give u palpitations from start to finish. His toughest opponent of all time for me. Marquez also never backs down, warriors like Manny too and also not afraid to lose. His stamina is also very high plus trains hard. Manny was also distracted with girls when he got richer.

Margarito fight was my favorite, the buildup, the beatdown.
What people might have not realized was that 90% of Manny's shot against Margarito was on his face, and he didn't try to touch his jaw or wind him out using body/liver shots despite Margarito always keeping his hands up.

just my thoughts in regards to the marquez fight. the great thing about manny aside from the fact that you said he doesn't cherry pick opponents is that he also doesn't shy away from rematches. his first fight with marquez was one sided in his favor but didn't mind a rematch with marquez being more prepared against him and even losing because of it. the best manny fights IMHO are the trilogy+ fights where you get excited to see who finally get's the final win on a back and forth series of fights.
Too right about the whole dehydration thing, I guess he was just a young kid. Really should of been spotted by his team, he most likely was easily exploited at that age before he met Freddy.

Manny fought Floyd with a torn rotator calf meaning he couldn’t throw punches properly with one of his hands. He requested the commission on fight night if he could inject anesthetics into his shoulder to stop the pain but they disallowed it so he fought Floyd while in constant pain and not being able to throw full power punches with his left hand yet still had Floyd running around the ring 😂. There’s a reason Floyd wanted nothing to do with him again after that fight. Kept ducking a rematch.

I’m Filipino and I know a lot will disagree but I think Floyd read pacquiao like a book but I also think it would be a different story if he fight pacquiao in his prime, both fighter on their prime that would be a good fight but there’s a reason why Floyd dodges pacquiao for 4-5 years cuz he knows what’s up. Some people can't admit that he is literally good or one of the best because they think he cheats all the time. It might look boring but that's how boxing really is.
