Absolutely incredible! I was impressed by the teaser and am so looking forward to flipping through the instructions to see how on earth the technic still holds up! Very well done! 🙏🏻🥂
This looks like a must have for anyone with the set. I got around to building your dropship design, and I am very impressed with the mechanism, super smooth. Keep up the good work!
I completed the modification yesterday. There were only 2 technique hole stone with an length of 12 instead of 14 wich i had to compensate. The construction instructions were very detailed and the stability is still exzellent. The functional hanger is a real eye-catcher and upgrades the ucs Venator to a high end level. In addition, the venator was provided with an accompanying ship, as well as star Fighters, hull- plates , turning turnest and more stable Bridge s .
I just came to say thank you for your amazing work! Im one of i think many huuuuge clonewars fans that grew up with the show, this upgrade really completed the look! Your instruction is very good, and i think for the work pretty cheap, the parts cost me around 40€ and i needed around 4 hours to complete, can recommend it to anyone!
Dude you need so much more attention. First of all your dropship brought my attention I decided to bild one in 2024. And then this add-on to my dream UCS.... You worth so much more subscribers. You did unbelievable job with these!
I absolutely love this! I’m not sure how you’d feel about adding little diorama sections in the back but I think that, along with this mod would make this amazing.
My parts for this mod should be arriving any day now. I'm going to install it as well as light it up with the rest of the set. I think the hanger bay will look so spectacular with the individual hangers lit up. I will be making a video to showcase it once it is built as well, so subscribe if you want to see it when its ready. I'll eventually also have a full escort fleet (Republic light cruiser and frigate) and 2x scaled fighters as well coming out of the hanger too. I got Arc-170s, Y-wings, Jedi starfighters, and slightly larger (and detailed) gunships. Sure the fighters will be a little out of scale, but they are close enough to still look appropriate.
For everyone asking, yes this is compatible with the light my bricks kit! Just be very careful to not disconnect any of the wires and just leave the wired panels dangling. It’s a bit tricky, but there is more than enough space to hide and conceal the wires while still building the hangar bay!
This build looks great just like all your other builds. I’m about done building your dropship and it is definitely a great design, i hope one day we’ll get a AT-OT moc for the dropship!
It probably is even stronger than before the modifications. The way LEGO designed the Venator never was structually sound to begin with and one reason why I stayed away from it for now. With the other, a Venator is not a Venator without a spinal hangar bay, being rectified by you I might think of treating myself with this for my birthday.
Might add heywords "hangar" & "with hangar" "modification" to title & tags so more people could find your excellent video. Improved the original design 3000%. Thank you for your awesome work sir!

Question I'm buying the case for this and I'm debating on going for the angle or vertical but not sure if hanger doors will remain open at an angle I have not yet build the ship but have gotten the parts foe the mod and instructions as.well
It did! This is because the 1x2 plates with ball joint are only connected on one stud, so they can rotate a little and widen / close the gap. I picked it up the wrong way before even starting to film, trust me it is reversible and does not damage the parts :) I still highly recommend doing it the right way though
It would be worth it for you to maybe sponsor a couple of MandR videos where he reviews your mods and custom sets (specifically the drop ship), that way you can reach a lot more people because dang… there are tons of LEGO fans who would want to build your stuff.
Whats crazy is as a Lego designer designing this set if someone is already paying 700 something, whats adding another $30-$40 to have functionality that makes a set better, and more memorable while still retaining durability standards...
G'day, Well now what a grand video to be suggested, I shall keep this in mind when I eventually have a grand to get this set... Hm a fluorescent blue 1×2 plate stud would probably go well just above that rear hangar bay door as the little control station seen in books/ TCW/ BF.
For what it costs, it should have come like this out of the box. It is a sad that they can't even get that feature in the official set. The designers aren't at fault here, they can do such things, the Dune set shows as much, but the higher-ups probably set a too restrictive parts budget.
@ForgedinLego I have one question, im looking to but the venator and doing everything under the sun to it uncluding your hangar modification and getting the IDisplayIt 2in1 stand for it. Do you know if after doing the hangar modifiication to it, the mounting for the stand will remain compatiable?? Either way a fantastic job youve done!
That's a very clean design! I'm wondering if there's room in the rest of the ship to have those pivot points connected to axles that go all the way back so it could be remotely operated or even motorised?
There is definitely enough room! The real problems though are that the doors get caught on the studs of the hull if you don't lift them over and where to put the remote actuator. You would have to make a few small exterior changes, but this mod I wanted to be identical from the outside
@@ForgedinLego AHH I see. Maybe if there was a parallel joint the doors could have a smoother arc. As for the remote operation, there's probably a way one could route the mechanism so it would work by rotating one of the thrusters at the back
The reason why it told you this is because it creates stress to the build that you made so you had to carry it properly, so it doesn't create stress as much as you think.
