YES! thanks for this message. It is so true, feeling it and letting the other person know about your situation, is a really good way to deal with it. Ignoring it, or trying to get rid of it, usually makes it worse. I agree with nervousness coming from a place of excitement. ^^ It points out that we're about to learn something new or that something is important to us. I once read in a book about stress that instead of trying to get rid of the feeling of stress or nervousness, we can learn to utilise it as an energy source. After all, it is the primal energy that can make us fight or flee. Now when I am in new situations I try to use it as a force, and this works pretty well!

love this, I totally relate, I of course still get nervous and forget to think of it as excitement but I think as I catch myself more and more hopefully I will make this a new healthy habit, each day has many opportunities for us to challenge ourselves, dare greatly

@@thedanyopang 加油! 😄 yes I still feel it too, the nerves will never go away I think. But the new association will grow on you over time, and the realisation will be faster and faster. :)

Every time I try to speak in Chinese, I just freeze and my mind goes blank. 🤦‍♀ But the same thing used to happen to me when I tried to speak in English before. I guess it's because I don't know enough words yet, and I don't have many opportunities to speak Chinese.
