Hey, how has the paint held up? Thinking of doing the same. Also, did you have to sand all the original paint out or did the metallic spray stick well into the original paint? Thanks
@@Benji...that was my next question. People say to re-gear anything after a 285 tire, but as a daily driver I wouldn’t think you really had to being it’s a 295 which isn’t that much bigger
dude the brushed aluminum is awesome on those! I cant find any company that sells them in the aluminum color, how many coats of the paint did u use and did u use a primer before painting? also did u sand alot before painting? I thinking about doing what you did for my own 3rd gen so just lmk
I used primer first and then tried a different colour so this has a few coats of paint. The matte clear made the biggest difference. Also yes sanded everything first to scuff it up
@@Benji... Okay thanks! Ive always loved how basic steel wheels look but they're all black for some reason. defiantly gonna be doing this in the near future.
I’ve always heard that Good Year tires weren’t too good. Isn’t that an old adage? Good Year tires are “good.. for about a year?” Maybe they’ve improved now.
I’ve got a set 255/75/17 duratracs. Really nice on the highway. Super deep lugs. I just put new front ones. The rear are pretty old. From 2015. Still have about half tread

@@Benji...- Quick question.. I’m currently looking to get my 02 4Runner lifted with new tires/wheels. Your tire size looks perfect and I’m wondering if you have had any issues running those larger tires? Appreciate the feedback.
@@Benji...- To clarify, I watched the video and saw the modifications for the tires but I’m wondering more about any issues with the truck (or other component failures) as a result of the larger tires.

@@FonzoCapone that's the factory bumper just trimmed & using my 3d printed flares

Any issues running your spacers so far?
The build is so sick! What springs are you running in the rear?
What size lift?
Are these loud on the highway?
Post more gen 2 SV650 stuff.
Also, that's a cool Tacoma, needs a lift tho.

Thanks
paint is holding up well, a little bit of rust that was in one of the cracks seems to be bubbling up so should have sandblasted first i think
Hey man quick question where do you purchase your 30mm spacers? I’m doing this right now with steel rims
They came with my truck but i’ve bought plenty off Ebay that work fine, as long as you get the correct hub dimensions
Looks good! What size tires were on there previously??
What tire size are you running? Are those duratecs?
Yeah duratracs, 295/70/17 iirc
Where did you get the fender flare caps that are on the bumper?
The are just 3D printed ones I made earlier
@@Benji... do you have the 3d printer file?
What size wheels?
did you have to re-gear for this project?
no i haven't re-geared, seems ok still

would this wheel setup work with stock suspension?
with this amount of offset it would probably rub a fair bit i would think
What suspension set up do you have?
bilsteins in front with rough country shocks & land cruise springs rear
@@Benji...- What springs did you choose to pair with those Bilsteins in the front? I think they might be OME 881’s but trying to verify.

Why use wheel spacers? I’ve heard those could be dangerous. Couldn’t you just use wheels with a more negative offset (for more poke)?
lower offset wheels would definitely be better but this was what i had. I’ve used spacers lots and haven’t run into any issues yet
