I really hate the idea that people are saying Ellen was in on it... So, for this talented Magician I'm going to prove to you guys it is TALENT and not telling some one oh sign two cards. The envelope was still opened and was put in the zipper compartment (it's empty)... however the flap sticks out of the zipper and the zipper closed just enough for the flap to pass through.... when he palms it and pretends to take out the wallet and struggles, he slips the card in closes the flap and zips it. This is why the wallet had to be like a one fold one and not the three fold mens wallets to allow him to open the wallet slightly to MORE easily put the card in the envelope. The fact it's long makes it more believable that it took him longer to take it out. He also ripped it just a little further from the seal to hide the idea it wasn't really properly sealed. The envelope was a long one with the flap at the narrow end. Sorry for the great detail, I don't wanna comment anymore due to pedantic people trying to say oh what about this what about that LoL I know I'm probably gonna get hated on for this because many people will probably say never reveal a magicians magic... LoL but I'd rather you guys understand the level of imagination to come up with these routines and not be some one who says OH Ellen was in on it LoL
I love watching magicians perform on Ellen. You can tell Ellen is just blown away by magic and is as fascinated and dumbfounded as everyone else when a good trick is performed. Not saying Ellen's not like everyone else, but it's fun to see how everyone reacts practically the same way.
You can tell she wants to do more acting. If I were a producer I'd be putting her in something that's family-oriented! That film would make a TON of money.
Like scientists explaining facts, they are more fascinated with the inner workings than the apparent and romantic perspectives. Their appreciation is increased for it, not diminished, and they cannot understand why it spoils it for other kinds of people.
What he does at 1:20 is says he is gonna put it in half way but actually puts it in second from the top, then he lifts off two cards at the same time, making it look like the top card
here is how he pulled the 4 of hearts from the deck. he had the deck in new deck order, and when he was riffling he was peeking where the 4 of hearts was. and then he cut the deck (i think) to control the 4 to the top, and did a classic card shot/throw. he held the end of the deck with his index finger on top, middle finger on the back of deck, and ring finger on bottom (you can see) and he used his thumbnail to flick the card up. but it is just a really beautiful effect.
This is the secret. 1. 2:37 he palming the card into his chest pocket. 2. The zip is not all the way to the wallet, you can see other short edge part is not zipped (check 4:20 - 4:22). Which mean is the wallet originally un-stitched on that short edge part with no zip on it, so he can reach into opened envelope to put ellen's card, and he close the envelope with pre-double stick taped. 3. And he just saying as patter "look It's zipped and sealed envelope." Is that simple. Thumbs up.
Ellen, you need to get Wayne Houchin on your show!!! He's one of the most respected magicians in the magic community! Get him!!! He stopped time in the Dominican Republic for goodness sake!! hahah. He needs to be on your show!!!

The first trick he did with the dancing person on the cards.... I think he drew and rearranged everything perfectly, so that when she did pick out whatever card from the deck, he would rearrange them in a certain way and have the picture show the stick figure showing the card.
all the people wondering how he did the card trick and how amazed they are by it reminds me of a big bang theory episode. " not knowing is part of the fun" " what , was that the theme for your community collage?" i think thats what penny and sheldon said..... anyways the comment reminded me of that
here is how he did the trick to put the cards in new deck order. 1) every time he dribbles the cards, he lies that it is a mess and they are in no particular order. watch it in slow motion (0.25 speed) and you will see that it goes in new deck order arrangement (but the cards are cut). 2) cutting the cards and shuffling like how he did doesn't disturb the order. it is just like cutting the deck once; for example, you can cut the deck as much as you want, and then you can restore the cut with just one cut. he had breaks with his fingers to do everything there.
