Well they still need federal government approval to operate the port. The main thing is getting the national assembly to remove federal government influence from Nigerian Port Authority and Aviation as well. They just did it for electricity generation.

Dr. Oti, the answer to your question regarding the backwardness of the Igbo people can be seen vividly in the lies the Imo state Governor, hope Uzodimma, just told Imo youths in his campaign to return as Imo state Governor. The Governor told the Imo youths that he has concluded arrangements for Imo youths to be employed in Canada by the end of the year 2023. He went further to tell them that when they get their employment letter, the person should come to him and that he will pay for their flight ticket. Why play with these youths with what he thinks is their wishes. WHY? What about creating a favorable environment in Imo state for these youths to go about and find jobs? The Governor forgot to the youths what they needed to qualify for employment. He just told them that he has gone to Canada and planned for them to be employed, as many as four thousand Imo youths. What a joke? Why does our Governor tell people what they want to hear just to get their votes? There is Godoooooo!

Thank God almighty! Finally God has decided to shine his light on Eastern Nigeria and indeed hopefully the entire country. The states must be secured in order to attract investments from local and diasporans. When the citizens don't come home the local businesses will not thrive. When the citizens visit their various home towns and villages they bring with them their resources and wealth to their cities and villages to the benefit of local businesses. In order words security is fundamental to a survival of any state or indeed the entire country. Failing to guarantee security of human and property is none starter period. I am delighted to watch this gathering. The organizers must have programs and must review the progress from time and to time, adjust as they make progress considering the enormous challenges that are bound. This forum must be continuous as often as necessary. My unequivocally respect the organizers and attendees of this forum.

Uzodimma made a great point. We are pathetically divided and we need to fix that. We have igbo brothers today refusing to be regarded as igbos. Our society collapsed and we need to be intentional about our approach to fixing our issues and we need to be aggressive but strategic with it.
