The thing that I like the most in this WAD is how it has no bullshit fights - most ambushes have enemies appear in front of you and no hordes of chaingunners out of reach. And yet the levels can be quite challenging.
This was one of my favorite videos as of recently. Very fun, lots of jokes and gimmicks (punching that cyber was so tense but so worth it!) and he kept the slow parts of the map interesting in various ways. Not to mention the always very skillful gameplay. Great job, pumpkin man!
You know, as much as I love watching your Doom play throughs of bigger campaigns like this one and knowing where everything is and what happens kinda hurts the magic a bit, imo. A dedicated blind series would be a pretty neat idea for you. Don’t worry about the repetitive dying on blind runs, it’s all part of the experience! Lol

You really can make a gameplay of a 'simple' Doom game with a 'simple' gameplay very entertaining. I don't know how you do that, but it works. Trying to gib zombiemen with plasma and fisting the cyber with fast monsters enabled for example. And by 'simple' I actually mean - complex! At least complex enough for a game like Doom is. And this Wad is complex enough, the mapping is really complex and so is the gameplay, I mean, simple! :D
I haven't player Arrival, and I got used to WADs with custom mobs. So, I felt way too gullible at 6:45 and believed with all my being that there was, indeed, a variant of the Cacodemon. I was already imagining a different colored Caco with higher health or a spread attack or something of the sort. I can't describe how immeasurable my disappointment was upon witnessing the Pain Elemental. :'v

I know you've been through a lot of the source code, or maybe you've scoured every last line. But it seriously seems like there's some kind of mechanism that will cause enemies to have a lower chance to fire at the player if there are monsters in the way. There's a good chance it's just confirmation bias, but the amount of times I've seen you waiting for a monster in the back to initiate infighting while saying "Shoot. Shoot please. SHOOT!" feels high. And I know from your analysis videos that distance from the player affects their chance to fire per step, but it feels like -fast should just override that. Since it's never been discussed in your videos, I'm assuming that's not the case. But it just FEELS like it, haha
It would be fun to instrument the code so that each monster logged what it was thinking when it decided whether to shoot. Then you could compare a "shoot" case to a "no shoot" and see what's different.
