When I was a senior in high school I had the privilege to join an upper-level collegiate chamber choir. We sang all four movements of American Voices by Catherine McMichael, and Stopping By Woods was always my favorite movement. It's been 22 years, but this song was on my mind today and I came across this video. As I listened, I thought about my choral director from that ensemble, the many years we worked together, and how much I deeply admired her as a teacher and human being. Then it hit me, that today marked the 4th anniversary of her passing. Thank you for this beautiful performance.
