When Uhura said the words "to be decommissioned" I teared up, knowing full well the context. This was a proper send off to the original Enterprise. Her place, now and forever, is at Starfleet's Museum. Well done to all involved.

The Enterprise must have undergone one of the most extensive refits in Starfleet history, one that rivals even her own previous record, in order to include the automated torpedo launching system and the new bridge module.

He also recognises that a new crew and a new ship will take their place with pride, honour and purpose, picking up the heritage.

Superb. Absolutely superb. Captain Sulu would definitely have flown the Excelsior apart to help Captain Kirk too. He and the Enterprise crew would have followed Kirk to the gates of Hell if need be
I never understood how a single torpedo against a fully shielded battleship like Excelsior to cause the entire bridge crew to be thrown to the ground and cause multiple internal explosions and closing off of engineering. Starfleet still has not gotten rid of the bugs of 'The Great Experiment' it seems.
Same thing in Generations when that little Bird of Prey did so much damage to Enterprise D. Even with no shields, a Galaxy class ship would have mopped the floor with the Duras sisters.

(Very clever not to designate it 1701-A, we know it’s your work then)
Yup love how fans assume the connie has weaker shields than the Excelsior . What they often over look is just how long the Enterprise was under fire before the Excelsior Arrived . It more than likely wasn’t minutes it could have been hours .
Superb. Absolutely superb. Captain Sulu would definitely have flown the Excelsior apart to help Captain Kirk too. He and the Enterprise crew would have followed Kirk to the gates of Hell if need be
Chang: "I am constant as the Northern Star!"
McCoy: "I'd give real money if he'd shut up!"
The Klingon bird of prey destruction was the finest rendition and better than the original which has been used many time as we all know 👍👌 great work.
Please do a series on the Excelsior... aka, the most beautiful class of ship ever built.
"I'd give real money if he'd shut up!"...................................LOL
That was a well done fan film, Very nice effects!!
Bravo. Subbed.I remember watching this film "The Undiscovered Country" in the theater with my then girlfriend, at the time. I now look back at it fondly, enjoying the experience of having seen it with all the original cast members, still alive. 🖖
Nice to know, the Enterprise A did get to retire and end up in the fleet museum 👍
Nicely done!
6:45 I do not know how someone can watch this part and not tear up . They just saved the world AGAIN and get told they are too old to be useful .
