Amen! Understanding and believing the sovereignty of God made all the difference for me in speaking to people about the gospel. When you believe that you are responsible for the results, even partially, it feels like a sales pitch. When you rest in God for the results, it feels like a natural witness growing up out of your own walk with Him.
I was part of a church that believed evangelism equaled success. You have to lead someone to Christ for your witness to be effective. That is dangerous because that will question one's faith and even put salvation in their hands.
