    Excellent explanation, the use of the different colors was also a good idea.

    Used this on a badminton racket the other day. Needs a relatively fresh grommet with string this thin, but looks incredibly neat and tidy when socked against the frame - hard to tell it from a tie-off knot, actually.

    @brandontang619 Correct. You start in the middle with the mains. End the shot side mains with Parnell. then at the very end of the crosses, another Parnell.

    @brandontang619 It's too small. Same for the PC knot. Both can not hold the starting tension. If you start with a starting clamp, and come back to the start, you can use the Parnell and PC knot. You just can't use it to hold tension at the very start.

    This knot is actually a finishing knot, that was the "USRSA" preferred knot in the stringer's digest. Wasn't meant as a starting knot, but it should work fine. I wouldn't necessarily say it is that "bulky"
