Congratulations for the wonderful show you make people. Also for showing all the natural beauties that Scotland has, such a dream-like lanscapes and wildlife you have. One of the most beautiful countries in the world. Keep it coming! Greetings from Argentina. Good fishing!
Hear what your saying with regards to pellet feeding beneath cages but l fished Loch Arkaig long before any cages were there and it was always home to some real brutes of trout!
Can you tell me if there are smolt cages in this loch please. If there is then can you be absolutely certain it was a ferox Stan caught? We have lochs with cages where i live and the trout grew enormous! Nice fish whatever it is!
There were difintitely cages there in 2012 when I last fished Arkaig, and they were in use. This is irrelelvant however, because they have been used in the past at whatever stage, and therefore have affected the fish in the loch. re Ardechive, if that's home from home for Grieg then I'm in the wrong job!!

Nice to see a balanced attitude towards the pike. All the very best game fisheries I've encountered have a healthy population of pike too.
Just fabulous. Wonderful video!
Glad you enjoyed it!

you can catch ferox at loads of places in the uk they don't have to have had cages for these trout to exist
Without being cheeky, Loch Arkaig was throwing out monster ferox long before the smolt cages appeared on the loch.
