So take this with a grain of salt as I have never drove a mod lite( thinking about buying one, I run mini sprints now with 602 and 604 experience. Just not in the mood to spend 10k to 20k for a engine anymore). You did a good job at the end of that race at identifying your issue and racing a line that gave you decent speed. I tend to like my car a big on the loose side. When I am tight and am able to run the entire track I tend to diamond the corners. I do this to keep momentum, these low torque engines punish small mistakes more then bigger displacement cars. I will say this technique is better suited when the track has a decent cushion. Considering the conditions you did well with what you had to work with.

My dad just got a mod lite and he’s been racing at our home track and other places and he has had the same problem with his car being tight but now we our just working on it and watching the dirt nationals as we get through the offseason

More rpm. Only turning maybe 11k. Also drive in deeper. Car will set. Gotta throw it in there.

Your still tight because your not throwing the car into the turns and letting the car do the work. Every time you tip into the turns the car starts to push out. By the time the car starts to bite into the turn, the AZZ end of the car washes out and you saw The hell out of the steering all the while not being able to go full throttle, or get on the throttle hard. And in the end you lose ground. Try staying on the throttle a little longer as you tip into the turn and try and ride it through. Instead of fighting it. In other words throttle into the turn, to set the turn up.
