So fun! Love how you’re making it a family thing 🥰 I think all the performers must have such gratitude for the fans and still being received with such love and appreciation for the songs they brought to life.
Berlin, They definitely take a lot of people back too the 80s with Take My Breath Away and No More Words…Culture Club was huge in 84…Boy George was everywhere…Howard Jones was just easy listening…when he came on the radio everyone just loved his music…Thanks for taking us with you guys…Awesome video and beautiful family as well…
Wow, what a great video. Your daughter looks like your sister. What a beautiful family. Boy George seems a little bit bored while singing. But he is a true 80s Icon.
Thanks Bernhard! Boy George has definitely mellowed out since his flamboyant performances of the 80s, lol! But I had seen recent videos of his performances, so at least I knew to expect that. His voice seems a lot deeper than before, but he still puts on a great show!
If you thought Howard Jones was great, then you should've seen him perform with Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder a synthesizer medley at the 1985 Grammys. Absolutely mind-blowing!
Wow! Love this video. Thanks so much for sharing! I just went this past weekend in San Antonio Texas. It was outdoors super hot but we loved it. We had front row seats thanks to my husband who met and interviewed Howard Jones. Howard is a great guy! Can’t wait to see what 80’s concert you’ll be going to next!
Awesome!! We agree, Howard is a great guy (along with being SUPER talented!) We got a chance to meet him recently on The 80s Cruise and also enjoyed his Behind-the-Music session. I've loved his music and admired him since my youth. Anyway, we're headed to Dallas this weekend for the Lost 80s Live show... are you going to see that one?
I got to see this concert in Austin. It was so HOT, but well worth it. This was the third time I've seen Howard Jones and he didn't disappoint, except that he was in the first artist up instead of going on second and getting to have a longer set. This was the first time I got to see Berlin and they were a pleasant surprise. Terri can still sing. Great voice and they did all the songs I was expecting PLUS a few surprises. I don't know why, but Berlin was just one of the bands back in the 80s I never got to see. Culture Club was good and the first time seeing them in concert as well. A solid performance with some good new tunes. I just wished I had seen them back in the 80s before success and drugs took its toll. Hope you're both doing well. Love the 80s room, especially the Donkey Kong machine. That was my game of choice 40 years ago when I lived in the arcade called Times Square in Cadillac, Michigan. Held the high score for about 2 days.
Hey Chris, so glad you got to attend the concert in Austin. From what we heard, Howard and Berlin were taking turns performing first so that explains the difference. They all sounded great, didn't they?! What a fun show!! Totally agree with your sentiment about wishing we could've seen these guys back in their heydays!
They were actually in Cincy not to long ago. My dad loves "Take My Breath Away", and it's my favorite too. Howard Jones has some songs that I like, and I'm glad you got a shot of Culture Club performing one of my ALL-TIME favorites, which is Karma Chameleon!!! I wish Jon was still with them though, but they still put on a show!!! Glad you enjoyed it!!!
It's so funny you mentioned that because we actually DID film a movie reaction to Better Off Dead several years ago, lol! We're hoping to do more videos like this in the near future. It's an old one, but here's a link to that: th-cam.com/video/RfiU5lwLf4k/w-d-xo.html
Whoa, a remix of Things can only get better. Didn't expect that. Noice show! Looks like you guys had a fantastic time, thank you for sharing this experience. Keith, your hair looks good, bro 😂
@@Our80sLife ay with Saturday Morning cartoons, Saturday is always a good time 😊 and no worries, I look forward to hearing from you both as soon as possible. You have a great weekend, also! 😎👍💯
Very cool! Howard Jones was my go to while growing up. Looks like this was a blast. I'm in North Dallas now (last 20 years) but concerts at Sandstone in KC were always amazing!
Nice, me too!! Howard Jones was probably my most listened-to album back in the day. We're actually headed to Dallas this weekend for the Lost 80s Live show. Are you going??
I watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and one castmember is Dorit. She and her husband, PK, are close friends with Boy George (and PK manages him). He stays with them, occasionally, and he's done mini concerts at their house, on the show.
I think I remember "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo being one of your favorite songs that was listed in one of your videos... Pretty cool that Nick Beggs was the special guest!
Yes!! I love that song! This was a total surprise to me. Our daughter looked at the set list ahead of time, so she knew about it (but didn't tell me.) What a thrill!
Hi, new sub. I love this because one of my fav Howard Jones songs is in Better Off Dead. I commented on another post below about it but that is one of my fav 80's movies. I have been known to watch an 80's movie at the end of a bad day. The last one i watched was Summer Rental w John Candy and Karen Austin. :) Love your channel. Comfort movies from our childhood - that's a thing right?

Saw them in Charlotte NC. Berlin rocked it.

Thanks Al! Karma Chameleon is such a fun and peppy song... definitely a top song of the 80s (and still fantastic!) It was a great show!!
Did Howard Jones play Like To Get To Know You Well? Love that song, LOVE Better Off Dead.
You guys should do some 1980's movie and video reactions.
👍
Movie/video reactions,that’s a great suggestion!

great question. I immediately thought of Lane and the French girl fixing his Camero. lol They should do some ComicCon appearances - 80's movies. :)
Terri Nunn looks so fabulous, still!
Totally!!
It was a great show, i saw them all in Rogers AR a few days after this but have seen several concerts at Starlight too, a very cool venue for sure.
Cool! Thanks for stopping by our channel. I'm glad you got to see the show too!

Oh nice, welcome to the party! Yes, we definitely agree that 80s movies are comforting. And we love Better Off Dead!! 🍔
Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving.@@Our80sLife
Nick Beggs! 🤟🏼
What a fun bonus! We loved seeing him!
Howard sounded great 👍 except the sound was low, muted. No biggie, it can kill our ears. Concerts are so loud.
Totally agree!! We always bring our ear protection!
