Her salesman training ya know…😂. Geeez! I hope they watch this because she wasn't fooling anyone here. Been through that many times. They didn't know or had no interest in items until you show interest in buying them. The way they had everything piled up like trash was unbelievable. They keep it like that for months, with possibility of having rodents destroying things. What this people do is have possible buyers get all the good things out. Then they do throw the rest and keep what was picked out . Sometimes when you flash a pile of money in front of them, it makes them forget what they are trying to do. You sometimes have to bit them at their own game. Or walk away.

It always amazes me how they have piles and you have to ask them if "this is for sale" Looks like they opened the garage door and the garage VOMITED. Great picking though....
Wow, amazing hoard of stuff. Nice buys & negotiations. It's so hard when sellers are quoting eBay prices. Especially when they have no idea what goes into the selling and that you don't end up with that final price plus you're taxed on it. AND they need to realize you need to make a tidy profit. You should get some business cards printed up, would have been good to hand out to her for future contacts they probably have thousands in just stuff they'd consider trash. Good luck
A lot of sellers are using asking prices..not sold comps. I called an estate company on that and got that deer in the headlines look. Got much better prices after that.
yes. Especially when they are seeing prices of 100.00 on ebay for a Beefed up comp. Well with the lady handling the posters tge way she did then there is no way they are near mint condition. To command the ebay price. You never know.😊
I would always suggest putting your items in a bag or box away from the yard. Others can show up and want your items usually. If it was to get crowded and your busy looking through things, you have to guard your items. And people will take things, knowingly or unknowingly, and check out and pay while your busy. I have had to continue to say, " oh that's mine " like to ,5 different people in a row.
These folks were definitely NOT ready for a yard sale. They just wanted you to sort thru and pull out the good stuff for them to keep. I always move on from these situations and maybe later down the road they will be ready to move the items on. Very sad situation. Good luck

Love those type of sales. I work with them and organize, box and trash junk, and get all my pickings free for helping them get it cleaned up. Usually make about 2000 in profits, for a day of helping. You need to dig deeper. All that 80s stuff. Found a bunch of sticker packs, they were throwing away, I sold each one for 15. Easy listening nos. Some times the small stuff brings big bucks.

Just to clear some comments up, I live in this house and we have moved to a smaller house. We do not have room to take everything so a lot of it is getting sold but we are just still trying to sort through everything, it is my in laws house and even the garage hasn't been touched in 20 years.

She’s pricing things because there’s sentimental to her and I understand that but don’t offer it to people who are looking for deals. Just keep it if you’re not quite ready to part with that yet I would’ve been so annoyed with her. At least I gotta give you credit you’ve got a lot of patience. I probably would’ve walked away and left.
