    I’m pretty new to geocaching, but I am baffled how this cache was approved. I recently got knocked back on one of my hides because I used a screw to hold it to a tree. Which was fair enough as it was in the guidelines, but this is literally carved out of the tree! Do they have different rules in America?

      Hey, im from Sydney I have had a very similar experience. Maybe different rules in different places.

    I'm really excited to still be receiving new footage from your Yuma trip as it allows me to relive that great experience nearly 2 months passed (I'm sure I'll be watching your Yuma videos in the 2030's haha). I'm looking forward to finding some of these caches when I make my next trip to Yuma myself (which fortunately I can make in a daytrip)

    Very cleaver with this one, loved the palm tree cache. 🌴 I started caching a few years back while I was in Europe I've had a decent break 4years.
    I've recently started caching again while travelling in Australia starting up and down the coast of Sydney. While I'm completing different hiking, camping, biking and bouldering trails and adventures lol. Enjoy and stay safe everyone.

    Palms I hear are the hardest to cut too. That must have taken them a long time. I guess you can get around the rule if you own the tree your hollowing out. Pretty unique for sure

    I can imagine that the sight of Geocachers snooping around a neighborhood became a lot less suspicious after Pokemon Go was released. :)

    Hmm.... got a few ideas! Seems like so many 'teamwork caches' around here are just the equivalent of use-a-ladder to get one in a tree, hehe

    You should go to Torrington CT! There’s one that I cannot solve, (GC5P6WN) it’s a Pi Puzzle. Super hard, I’ve tried multiply times within 2 years 😂. Would be fun seeing you get it!

    It's fun to think back to all the times teamwork was necessary or sped the process up.

  • @katkaplan3

    Is that tree considered property of the homeowners or the city?! If it’s on the other side of sidewalk I’d guess the city, which makes cutting into a tree like that against guidelines, unless there was already a hole/damage to the tree?? I know reviewers around here in New Jersey are strict on that.

    • @TheGeocachingVlogger
      @TheGeocachingVlogger  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t know the history. It is possible that the tree was sick and they did something to help it .

  • @kookykat9508
    @kookykat9508 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok but does it have to be physical teamwork or teamwork where you work out a multicache together that you couldn't do on your own, cause I have one of those 🤣🤣

    • @TheGeocachingVlogger
      @TheGeocachingVlogger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could filter caches in your neighborhood by the teamwork attribute. In the end it is subjective so what your explained works.

    It is so weird to watch that most geocachers are basically one of 3 different stereotypes:
    1. left-wing LGBTQ+ alternatives with dyed hair
    2. middle aged conservative dog owners who never missed a sunday service in their lives
    3. overly dramatic, slightly overweight, wannabe-influencer, outdoor enthousiast, middle aged men who are into Meat Eater and have a 10 piece+ survival knive collection they actually never use
