I feel like the argument of better is more or less pointless. I mean you can see the technical superiority of eminem over that 6ix9ine(i think) but once you get to a certain level, most people plateau amd it turns to the message more than the ability. And who's to say one person's problems arent ad good as someone elses. Plus music is subjective so you cant just do it based on what you think alone
I feel the same way. I wrote a poem about that feeling called "comfortable in sadness" that basically explains how its easier to stay low than to put in the effort of recovery
You, not Trippin. Anytime things seem to go TOO well, I get scared because all I think is "What's gonna happen now?" I think that when so many good things happen until you get hit with a huge negative impact in your life. Trauma and severe depression is tough. That's just how my life is sadly
Honestly I feel the same, when things are well I feel as if something is gonna happen to mess it up. And as much I try to keep positive, I feel it's useless to hope for it to last, and no matter how much I try it never works.
It’s a response mechanism typically from forms of childhood trauma. Not having stability as a child can make chaos seem like comfort as an adult. It’s odd how we associate uncomfortable childhood memories with adulthood comfort. It took me years to realize that I functioned better in high stress situations because it was what I was used to as a kid. It wasn’t until I was 30 that I learned it wasn’t how everyone functions. Balance is a very precarious word to some;) great reaction
Exactly!! We subconsciously get ourselves into situations that validate the toxic core beliefs that developed as we were going through the trauma, abuse/neglect.
This is a year late , but like what dub said nf can make a sentimental song sound hip and shit where u can bop ur head to it and shit. I feel like that was a big problem with his earlier shit, he always had the sentimental shit but didn’t really have the part where he could make ppl bop their heads to it and no one really wants to jam to a straight up depressing or sentimental song lol. U had to be in a certain mood to listen to those songs . Now he does , and I feel like he’ll get a lot bigger cause of how much better his rapping/writing has gotten over the last few years
You feel uneasy because youre more used to being let down when a situation is out of your hands but when youre in the a bad situation you feel more comfortable because its all on you anyway and youre in control of getting thru it
"You feel the best when your life is hectic" I relate to this verse like so much. Sometimes you have so many problems that you don't want to think about and when you are busy with your work or something else. You don't think about those problems and you feel the best.
Chronic depression is one of the cruelest diseases, because it robs you of the very thing that makes life wonderful, your happiness and your connections with others.
When your life being going to good for to long I start suspecting everything and know that being in a bad situation is now normal to me and when its to good you get chills of your future and start detreating your mental health.
I've been to many different concerts of many different genre's but I've never felt a fan base truly unite where everyone related and was moved as to when I watched him do this song live. First, you have to understand how versatile his fan base is at his concert. People of so many ages and from different backgrounds and every single person was singing this with their hand up going back and forward.
I hear what you're sayin' Dub. When things are quiet, I feel like I am waiting for that shoe to drop. If there is some sort of issue on the table to deal with, it allows me to focus on that/those things and moving past it. But to Ross' point, that should not be the normal. We SHOULD be able to enjoy those quiet times more, but with all that we have seen especially in the past few years we have programmed our brains for struggle. Too many of us are wired like this now, and suffer from depression/anxiety/mental health issues due to it. 2 mantras I have been trying to live by recently are "It's ok to not be ok" and "Be kind for no reason at all". The more we do for each other, and ourselves, the more we can heal and talk about those things we all deal with, as opposed to the things that make us different.
I know exactly what Dub means. I feel the same way and I can never relax too much because I have a feeling some type bullshit or turmoil is right around the corner. I've always said expect the worst and hope for the best because life has shown me if u become too comfortable in a good thing that's when u get caught slipping the most.
Reactions are my ASMR. Didn’t realize that not everyone ‘feels music’ but reactions are addictive and wonderful -ASMR for people that really feel music. Love it.
In today's crazy times, Nate has shown the question to-- What is your race? = HUMAN! we are all humans and need to learn to love and care for each other because we all have troubles of same or different sorts! This song needs to be played on ALL RADIO stations and shared with everybody you know. It helps bond us all together. Thank you Nate for putting one of your best songs ever on this great Mixed Tape! Thanks for your reaction guys.
I’m with you Dub I get paranoid when things seem to be going good. Like something bad is lurking around the corner. Not saying that’s how it’s supposed to be but that’s how I feel
I feel that. For me when life is going well that normally means there is some huge life altering/changing moment that isn’t very good about to happen. So the state of chaos is reassuring me that nothing is going to be altered too much. Also I love this song.
Hell naw you ain’t trippin’... I always got this shadow in the back of my mind that’s kept away until my life starts getting real good, just so that I don’t forget to brace for impact for when all hell breaks loose again- that way I don’t lose my sanity when it crashes an burns. Kinda like a personal mental vibe check.
I'm literally in that space where everything is too perfect for my liking. I guess the fear of everything becoming all messed up again scares the living daylights out of me.
i feel like theres a balance between good and bad situations for every good situation theres gonna be a bad situation to keep the balance even if the bad doesnt happen directly after the good 2 years later that bad situation shows up just know theres somethig good waiting "12hours in the day 12ours in the night repeat"
You not trippin bro ✊🏼, I got it easy now but im anxious as hell, but when it a few problem to deal with im in a comfort zone. I think when you grow up trying constantly it wierd once u have to stop... like a drug
No you ain't same formula for, I'm a sixteen class 10 student and that seems to be the only thing thats puts me at ease "school", with the tasks, assignments and exams provide the perfect escape to reality and staying human that's my cross I guess, I love the pointers nf made on this song
You not tripping bro I’ve been pretty down for a long time now and just recently I crashed my car and have had so many things to do that’s it feels like Idek what I was worried about but idk how long that’s gonna last
NO JOKE! I would love nothing more than shaking your guy’s hands, I’ve watched y’all all the time but from a man to man it would be nice to shake your hand

Just enjoy the good times while you have them. That's what I believe is so special about the good things how quickly they change

Still the most underrated ARTIST out right now...
“I hate when they debate if we are underrated”- NF: leave me alone
Hes not underrated. Not even close
@@bmx9757 well he should get more attention than more of the trashy rappers we have nowadays

“When things are going good, it almost feels too good to be true” man. Perfectly put in words
