I don't care if it was filmed from a car or a bike or a helicopter..this is PERFECT for what I want. Because of seemingly endless rains, and with winter coming on, I bought a "spin" bike for my home. But I don't "spin" when I ride my real bike. I like to maintain a cadence of about 85 to 95 and ride for distance. I don't want to push my heart rate to it's max level. But I wasn't thrilled with the idea of looking at the walls on an indoor bike. I found this and turned it on the TV in the room. And I started "riding"...just like I would on the road. The sensation provided by this video is exactly what I need to make my indoor workouts as enjoyable as my "real" bike rides. I break a sweat (like a real ride), my heart rate is increased (but not disabling) just like a "real" ride. Please Please PLEASE make more bike videos like this.
KC, have you heard of Zwift? It's a pretty cool way to make indoor riding less odious. (still odorous though)

OMG, right? There is nothing I dread more than riding my trainer in the winter. It's so incredibly B O R I N G. I can ride for hours outside without wanting to stop, but after 5 minutes inside I'm done. I'm going to try watching this my next ride!
Motorbike and slowed down I reckon. Can kind of spoil it but this looks like a nice ride so I'll give it a go (I'm on a mtb mounted on a fluid trainer but hey, the scenery looks great and pedalling is pedalling). I have a photo studio with a projector. So I get the projector hooked up to my laptop, use a plain white photo backdrop as a screen, knock the sound off on TH-cam, run the laptop sound through some Edifier bluetooth speakers and fire up Spotify for some motivating music. Ha! Who needs a Zwift subscription and a smart trainer?! And watching HD footage of real places you might never otherwise get to is much better than animation. Sure, you don't get all the metrics and auto adjustment you get with automated trainers but I haven't had to buy anything I didn't already have and the ride is just as engaging; if you know your bike you can change gears and moderate effort as needed to have a terrific workout. And believe me, when you have a 100" screen in front of you it can fool you into thinking you're really there!
Trying to loose about 90lb to enter the USMC and riding on my indoor bike was fine. But that coupled with looking at a hill and having the mindset of "I'm climbing that" really helped.
This is heaven earth, I'm so grateful I was born in California.

Over here in the UK and I'm enjoying cycling the scenic Californian hills. I'm upping the resistance when you go up hills to match the struggle and also stopping when you stop. It's fun

Death Valley, California is the hottest place on earth. Sometimes in summer Truckee, California has a lower morning temperature than Nome, Alaska. There are rodeos, surf contests, ski tournaments, Sierra rock climbing, San Francisco fine dining, salmon fishing... out of breath.
I've lived here for 27 years, now retired. In fact, I live where this video was taped and every word you wrote is true. I'm thankful every day to call Sonoma County, and California my home.

The list of things I like about California versus where I came from is too numerous to fully count.
The weather is much nicer here. It's no comparison. The landscapes. The lifestyle. But the best part is the people.
In 1992 we experienced the full force of Hurricane Andrew in south Miami-Dade County. Hurricanes are normal there, and not at all unexpected. However, the reaction to the hurricane by so many people there was atrocious. It brought out the worst in people.
In 2017 we experienced the firestorm in Sonoma County. My entire neighborhood was incinerated. Yet, this tragedy brought out the best in people. Support by the state and local government was outstanding. My community came together to support one another, roll up our sleeves, and do the hard work to recover and rebuild.
When I visit South Florida these days I'm told by friends there that there's still an undercurrent of hostility, and lack of community. It saddens me that the place where I was born and raised has become that way.
However, I'm thankful every single day that we landed in Northern California, and that we were embraced by our community and region. No, I wasn't born here. But I'm happy to call this my hometown.

This is an inspiring ride... just warms your heart.
I really miss riding my bike the entire Sunday. hopefully one day i can do the things that i usually do before i got my accident. Although it was just a minor ankle accident, but it greatly affect me as a person. It made me afraid to hop on my bike sometimes even just for a short ride. Riding my bike is like a rolling meditation for me. It was a time where i can talk to God, think about my Goals and reflect on things that i need to do. It was also the time where i felt like i found myself. I think like i was born to bike and explore different places. hihi. Thank you for this video. Somehow, it made gives me hope that one day, i'll be able to be back on track and see and explore scenic places..

I travelled on the Coleman Valley Road on a moped in the late 60’s when I was a teenager . Camping. Loved that road down to the coast.

I can't find words to thank you for this video. I can hardly stand up due to back pain but I can freely use a pedaling device thus loosing overweight. My laptop monitor cracked so I bought bargain 40 inch 4k tv for use as a monitor and it makes the ride almost realistic. I hope you too will find a blessing when you are in any kind of trouble in your life.

Riding along - as you go uphill, I crank the tension on my ancient stationary. Serious bike accident 14 months ago lead to a rebuilt left femur; a rebuilt tibular plateau; new hip, etc. A few months rehab here and then three in Mexico before Covid and I was back an an ebike by April. You have to love Canadian health care.

Pandemic be damned! This is the way my trusty spin bike & I can ride safely from the comfort of my own livingroom!! No social distancing needed! One comment - would love to stop at some of those cute little shops along the way! I think I need to get a gopro and record some virtual rides - with little stops to snack and shop!! Ah well...in the meantime, thanks so very much for enabling me to bike and see beyond my home at this difficult time in the world! Ride on!!!

Great job!!! I am an avid cyclist and suffered at stroke in November. I've been curious about how my weaker right hand will affect my riding. I decided to hook my bike up to a trainer and pray that there's a bike tour on YT...and then I found this video. I can't stand watching tv shows or a movie while riding, so this is what I hoped to find. It's given me a truer sense of riding and I am so grateful for your fantastic work! I will be sure to mention your channel on my vlog! Thanx again for such a great job and helping me improve my biking skills!

Wow. I’m soo glad I found your vid. Just exactly what I have been needing from this crazy pandemic the world has been dealt with. I was forgetting how it felt to ride beautiful and peaceful scenic roads cuz @6 years ago I had a bad Mtb crash training for an endurance race which affected my cervical spine and downwards. It often rendered me hopeless cuz of the fear of aggravating my nerve impingements. Causing debilitating symptoms, I was afraid that I might not even be able to ride back to the car and let alone, drive back home. Thanks for the Breathe of fresh air.
