FLYING Food Photography 🍬 | Levitation Food Tutorial STEP-BY-STEP (styling, photoshoot & edit)

  • In this video, I will show you how to create a flying food photography composition. I will be using marshmallows as the main floating/levitating element in this picture, but feel free to get creative if you have other ideas or fun props to play around with!
    I will be taking the pictures with a Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens on my Nikon D300S DSLR camera.
    If you want to try to do this with your phone, you can also do it! You just need to make sure to place your phone on a tripod or a steady surface, keep the focus on the mug at all times and lock the exposure value (usually you do this by pressing with your finger for a few seconds).

    Hi i am stock photographer Beatriz Abelenda nice idea how to take amazing photos, and what light use for taking this photo...

    • @BeatrizAbelenda
      @BeatrizAbelenda  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!😊 For this particular picture I didn't have my regular lighting equipment with me, so I used the room's light + a led panel (Godox LEDP260C). However, the light I often use for photography and video is either Godox SL150w ii or Godox SL60W, both constant lights, with a softbox. The latter is more affordable but still pretty good light for photography and videos. 😊 Hope this helps!

    Hey :) I am also practicing food photography and really love this tutorial !! Thanks for the tips ! I subscribed to your channel :)
    What settings and lens did you use for this shot ? did you use manual focus ?
    Thanks

    • @BeatrizAbelenda
      @BeatrizAbelenda  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! 😊 Glad that this was helpful! I used a 35mm f/1.8 lens on a crop sensor DSLR camera. The settings I used were f/1.8, 1/125 and ISO-250 (no flash). I always use auto focus, I am short-sighted 🤓 so I struggle a lot to get my subject in focus if I try manual...literally, every time I try, even if I think it is in focus, it isn't! 😅

    Great video thanks! How do you merge the images into one, what format?

    • @BeatrizAbelenda
      @BeatrizAbelenda  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rachel! Do you mean to add them all in photoshop? For that, I always use raw images from my camera (Nikon's RAW format, .NEF). Then I just add them to the Photoshop file (drag them in). Does that answer your question? 😊
