Just got my new 2500 Cumins back from having Peterson RAM in Nampa, ID install The Dominator & 37s. Love it! Like butter, at any speed, on AND off-road. Could really use a leveling solution while towing. My Black Series HQ17 (5,500lbs) sits lower in the front now, than it did with the stock suspension.
You’ll want to use Timbren bump stops when towing and then pull them out when you aren’t. That’s the best way to preserve ride quality and tow anything you want! Here’s a link: www.cjcoffroad.com/Timbren-2014-2019-Ram-2500-Rear-Suspension-Enhance-p/timbren-dr2500d.htm
These videos are pretty awesome, but always feel bad because I literally cannot do any kits for my truck. Since I have a 2019 with air suspension....Oh well. Cool to watch.
Im late, but in case you hadn't looked it up and were still curious, you lose about 15% due to the softer springs. This is definitely for people who still want their truck to have more capability than a half ton, but don't plan on maxing out the towing. As far as I know, you can run airbags with it to cut that percentage down a bit and fight off squat.
Sadly we don't have a how to, but it's something that should be done by a more skilled welder just like any truss since you're welding different metals.
Only problem with this set up is that the local shop in your area will certainly screw up the installation!!! any recommendations I'm in south Mississippi and it would be awesome to put on my 2500
No, the dominator systems are for coil or leaf sprung trucks only. Running an air ride truck at the level these shocks are capable of isn’t recommended or possible.
Same as the other 14+ Ram 2500 systems. These systems reduce payload to 85% of factory, but you can make up for it using Timbren bump stops when towing. That will allow you to haul/pull at factory spec and have a smooth ride when empty.
Sadly airbags also really take away from the ride quality of the truck. Timbrens works great since you toss them in when you tow, and pull them out when you aren’t towing. Plus there’s no electronics, air lines or anything else that can break!
It has a different purpose. You couldn’t dream of taking a Kelderman truck in the dirt and having any kind of comfort due to the lack of wheel travel. Those systems are awesome for on road ride, but really fall short off road.
Nice video. Thanks! How does this compare to a Pintop, with all the options, when it comes to towing? I wish they made this for my Prius, CA road conditions are killing me. I think Gavvie wants all of us to have HD trucks with 37" tires.
This will tow exactly the same as a pintop setup, but with a little more damping to control trailer feedback. Both will handle the worst California roads can offer though. Heck they’ll even handle Michigan roads!
@@CJCOffRoad Whoa whoa whoa guys... Walk before you run baby- our roads in Michigan will swallow an eighteen wheeler like they're Riley Reid and ask for seconds. That said, I would love it if you decided to escape the soon to be barren irradiated ashen lawless wasteland that is California and move to MI as we desperately lack quality off-road shops like you guys run. We have sand dunes (Silver Lake Sand Dunes) and middle of nowhere dirt trails for days! You would have to learn the horrors of salt and temperatures below 70* F though. Sorry.
These kits reduce payload to 85% of factory, but you can make up for it using Timbren bump stops when towing so you can still haul/pull at factory spec and have a smooth ride when empty.
Hi CJC Offroad , I went on the website like you suggested. I looked up suspension. I did not see nothing for an 05 Dodge Ram 2500 four-wheel drive. Everything is from 2009 to new. Thanks for the help.
Here's a link, but keep in mind the Power Wagon system hasn't been released yet! www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/2019-ram-2500-carli-suspension-components/products/carli-suspension-2014-ram-2500-dominator-3-0-shock-package
This system takes the off road capability up a level from the pintop 2.5” systems, but obviously the price goes up along with it. For most people the Pintop is more than enough! If you decide you want the Dominator system though, you can always get the shock upgrade package and still keep the majority of the parts from your pintop system!
The front suspension design doesn’t lend itself well to this kind of abuse without major changes. With the Ford and Ram trucks, a few bolt on upgrades can get you performance like this!
Same as the other 14+ Ram 2500 systems. These kits reduce payload to 85% of factory, but you can make up for it using Timbren bump stops when towing so you can still haul/pull at factory spec and have a smooth ride when empty.
Kit is by far killing the game really nice but whoever takes there truck and ramps it off road like that needs to invest in a rzr bad bec ramping a Cummins vs and side by side is night and day if I had money big boy money this is only kit I’d go with but I’d never fly off Road in my truck I’d take care of it always but I’m diff breed

I was about to purchase this kit then I realized I didn’t have a Ram 😔. Great video guys. 👍🏽👍🏽
Lmao that is a dadgum shame
Go ahead and purchase it and let’s eat it up in my ram, I’ll let you sit passenger

What on earth, why does this sound so good. I wish my 2019 Cummins sounded half as good
Whistle tune
Delete it! Lol
That’s not how a deleted/straight piped truck sounds. I think they’re using the same closeup sound bite over and over..of a stock truck.
Second gen manifold will do the trick.
How does it effect the towing capability?

17+ superduty guys need love! Dominator it
What is the wheel and tire setup on the silver truck?
Does this kit allow you to fit 40's or we still need to move the axle forward?
According to Carli's website, 37" is the maximum you can fit
Top quality video guys 👌🏻
I really think i have to do something to my suspension soon...🤔
You should!
Impressive as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
Do you guys have a how to video for the Carli axle truss? I can not find one or is it very pricey to get welded?

Incredible how these trucks can be so Tuff and a Sexy Beast at the same time.
Please make a kit like this for the 2015 to 2018 ram 1500s I would like to upgrade from my TeraFlex falcon suspension that's on my ram 1500 rebel !?
Already done: www.cjcoffroad.com/Carli-Ram-Ram-1500-4x4-Performance-2-5-Kit-p/cs-ram15p25-d.htm
Very nice already have the commuter system so time to upgrade when the wife allows of course.
Could this setup be used for a 2018 RAM with factory air ride?
No, the dominator systems are for coil or leaf sprung trucks only. Running an air ride truck at the level these shocks are capable of isn’t recommended or possible.
Do you mean air leveling? My 18 3500 has that factory option but it really only comes into play with an extraordinarily heavy load.
How much does it reduce towing?... Love the fact that it's great all terrain.. still need tow/hual mode too..
Same as the other 14+ Ram 2500 systems. These systems reduce payload to 85% of factory, but you can make up for it using Timbren bump stops when towing. That will allow you to haul/pull at factory spec and have a smooth ride when empty.

why is it so hard to find carli suspension for Ram 1500
I have a 2021 ram 3500. I tow a 7500 pound airstream . can this set up still tow well ?
Absolutely! With a 3500 you can really do it all.

@@CJCOffRoad so its only for the 2500?
No you can do this system on 2013+ 3500 trucks too!
Will this setup work with my 2018 2500 Limited with rear air suspension?
We don’t recommend it. The factory air bags aren’t designed to take the off road punishment that this system is capable of.
what about the new 5th gen 1500?
what is the turn around time right now to purchase this kit ?
Everything besides the sway bars are on the shelf!
how long for the sway bars to come in after order ?

No warranty is voided! As for payload, there’s a 15% decrease on the Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, but you can always make up for that with other parts.
So is this kit applicable to the PW??? Thanks
