Shout out to CJC - great videos - offer all the options and are always willing to educate! CJC installed my E-Venture system (22 - Ford F-350 6.7L) and I now have 25,500 miles of on road, towing (10k - 16k) and off roading without a single issue - love this system - love the flexibility to dial in the rear shocks to stiffer setting for towing applications and the infinate adjustabilty the system offers. Hands down the best system you can buy - as CJC likes to say it truely does make your truck a "HD Swiss Army Knife" - does everyting well!
Seriously? That’s even more impressive! I have literally watched every video you guys have put out and this one is by FAR your best work. The you absolutely killed the lighting! This content was amazing. Almost makes me wish I had a Ram 😂
Thank you and it means a lot to hear that! We put a lot of effort into these videos to try and capture what these trucks can really do. We got super lucky on the lighting with this one too as there was a summer storm over the big bear area, which gave us some killer sunset lighting when we dropped down to the JV lake bed.
So after watching this video a couple times. It seems like the Ram is substantially more composed than the Superduty. Is that a correct assessment? Or is that because of the different rear end?
I got the back country system with all the options. Good thing about Carli is if you get all the options the next level up is basically a shock swap. 👍 CJC
Wish this fit my 2013 3500. This is so sick. My last truck was a 2007 F150 with a long travel kit up front, Deaver Springs in the rear, it'd be great to get some of the performance in my tow rig.
Right off the bat, thanks for posting this. I'm sitting here on night shift security among the west Texas oilfields and searching to find what the best solution for preserving my 2015 RAM 2500 SLT 4x4 would be, and this video looks like it's quite specific to my needs, so I'm looking forward to watching it :)
Yep, the dynamic capabilities of this sound absolutely essential. I drive highway, then jump off road, and haul 10K in between, and having the dynamic ability to actively support all functions enhanced addresses all of my concerns.
After Ford, Ram, great! It elevates the versatility of the HD in different environment and functionality. I love the Dominator system offroad. Hopefully the EV will be released. I'm the mean time, if you are emotionally attached to the TRX but know you have all the features you need with a Megacab HD, Pedal Monster included 😂😂 this Eventure system closes the gap! Awesome. Very clear answers in the comments by CJC to understand why choosing the Dominator or Ev system. 🎉
The Dominator still wins for all out off road capability, but this offers a little more resistance to body roll, and a slightly better street ride. We'd say this is the best system for 99% of people, minus those that have the goal of all out high speed off road sending. In that case, there's no replacement for the displacement of a 3.0 shock!
Anything is possible, but for now Carli plans to keep the 3.0 systems static valved. That said, a dynamic valved 3.0 shock would be an absolute WEAPON of a shock, so we're hopeful it becomes a reality one day!
Anyone want to treat a disabled army veteran with this bad ass e-venture system? I need this lol, I have a 2023 Olive Green Power Wagon, just bought some Black Rhino rims and 37” Yokohama Geolanders, about to buy the Carli Torsion Sway bar kit but I’m gonna need to keep going lol, I need this package!
how much of a difference between the pintop? considering the upgrade, but how much real-world difference will I notice? worth the extra money? tempted but don’t wanna be disappointed 🤣
It's significantly better in every situation. Softer on the street, more controlled in turns, and better off road. It's a huge change having the shocks able to adapt, as you negate all the downsides that come with static valving, but the reduced body roll is probably the most noticeable feature on 2500s.
Damn I wish this was available when I did my truck. Truck rides amazing but the wife still complains about it because of the nose dive when braking and pulling in and out of the driveway
I’m from central Cali (Fresno) It might be off topic for you guys but where do you go for these shots. I’m going to be getting a truck soon and quipping a Carli suspension but would you guys make a video on off roading especially for beginners. Including location of the Baja style terrain, trails, even rock climbing style and camping I also plan on building your guys power wagon build. Please keep up the content I always look forward to your videos and we appreciate it!
1) What's the durability of shocks? 2) Can they be rebuilt? 3) What's the cost of a rebuild kit? 4) What's the cost of replacing a shock? 5) will other e-shocks eventually be available for this computer system?
These shocks are designed to be rebuilt and serviced easily, just like a King or Fox 2.5. There's actually no reason to ever replace one either, as you can individually service the different parts and seals. That said, pricing all depends on what's needed, but it's nothing crazy or out of the norm. At this time this is a system 2.5 shock only setup, but we're hopeful 3.0s are going to happen in the future.
Seems easy enough to at-least offer a shock package? I realize y'all dont make em but 100% carli is missing out on alot of sales not including shocks for both size trucks.@@CJCOffRoad
The issue is more trying to judge sales volume. It's a LOT of time and R&D to develop and tune these systems, so they want to see how the 2500 version sells before investing in a 3500 variant. We're very hopeful it's going to happen though.
I am definitely interested, would these shocks be able to be used on a 3500? I'm interested in getting the 3.25" pinto with air assist for my 3500 Mega DRW and these would be pretty awesome
@@CJCOffRoad I posted the comment before I got to the 2500 specific comment in the video lol Hopefully one day it’ll be for the 3500’s. I’d like to jump on it.
Hey guys we have a 2022 ram 2500 limited. Currently running Carli 2.5 Pintop leveling kit on 35's. We really want to jump up to 37's with a SDI electronic system. Can you do retro fit or another electronic option for a ride?
Yep, and if you need more capacity than the Carli coils offer, we now have this new airbag kit: www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/dodge-air-bags/products/full-travel-rear-air-bag-kit-2014-current-ram-2500
does Carli make these shocks for the power wagon ? have they developed a softer disconnect sway bar for the PW ? and final question is Carli going to make this shock system for the jeep Gladiator.
At this time the system is diesel only, but a Power Wagon system is likely on the way. The sway bar is tied into the truck's electronics though, so for Power Wagons that has to stay. As for the Jeep, there are no plans at this time sadly!
Very well. We offer this with the normal capacity and R2 high capacity rear coils. In your case, the increased progressive spring rate of those R2 coils would do the "carrying" and then these shocks would handle the damping. The rear load feature of this system is great as well, since you actually have control over the compression valving and ramp up in the cab. If you're loaded heavy for a weekend trip, just adjust the rear compression up, and increase the sensitivity to vehicle roll to keep the truck super planted. Cases like your are why we're so excited about this system.
It's the same as any performance 2.5 King or Fox shock, which really depends on usage. The more dirt you drive and harder you push the shocks, the sooner they'll need a rebuild. We'd suggest 50k or so for a normal daily driver, and less for hard off road use. They can be rebuild at home, just like any other 2.5 shock. The goal was easy servicing!
They're actually totally different systems. The E-Venture is our pick for a do it all system that's as comfortable on the street as possible, minimized body roll, and handles everything we show in the video off road. If you want to push even harder in the dirt, that's where the Carli Dominator system comes into play. It's capable enough that you should realistically install a cage on the truck if using it to its full potential. For most people, the E-Venture is more than enough!
Good I formative video.... But I just got off the phone with CARLI and they tell me they don't have the EVENTURE SYSTEM for RAM gas powered trucks yet (I have a 2023 RAM POWER WAGON).... I'm a bit confused
This is essentially just like the King Pintop in terms of servicing and longevity. If for any reason the electronics fail in the shock, it just becomes a normal, static valved shock, which was a very intentional part of the design.
Awesome tech. But no love for the Hemi??? P.S. on the 2500 Ram there is no payload with the Cummins. Ram doesn't offset that weight with GVWR like GM who does increase GVWR with the powertrain. I'm just getting pushed to that other brand if there isn't a Hemi option.
Very cool tech and excellent explanation of the operation of the system. Just can’t imagine why you would want it on a 3/4 ton truck. I’ve not met anyone who has the desire to bomb through the desert or rock crawl a truck that was built to be a work horse. There are 1/2 ton options that are ready for that out of the factory. There’s a market for everything I guess. 👍🏻
There's lots of people that want quality, and want a truck that can ride smoothly on the road and handle whatever off road. Can i add this E-VENTURE - 3″ shock system with my stock suspension components. Like spring? Without needing to buy the more expend option of 8k suspension system kit ?
Nope! Nothing shown really pushed the truck anywhere near its limit. The front axle is trussed, and it's got upgraded Carli ball joints etc. These systems are designed to handle stuff like what we showed without issue.
Sadly the Thuren front coils for 14+ trucks don't have enough travel for these shocks, so you'd need to move to the Carli 3.25" setup. If you pair these shocks with a Thuren coil, they'll drop out of the bucket. That's also why you see Carli using more parts for their 3.25" systems than the Thuren kits.
Think of this system as offering the same capability as your pintop, but with the ability for the shocks to self adjust as you drive. That means the on road ride is significantly smoother, body roll is dramatically reduced, and off road performance is improved thanks to offering a better balance of small bump compliance and bit hit absorption. It's really going to outperform the existing pintop in every situation.

Any idea when the system will be available for the 3500's?
How much is this package?

New Gen Ram Power Wagon compatible?
Soon! Carli started with Diesel first and is expanding out from there.
@@CJCOffRoad that is something to really look forward too and keep on saving up for! Thank You
@@CJCOffRoad ok just saw it on a F250 Tremor…..it’s the Power Wagon rear coil overs isn’t it….gosh I love them And hate them a the same time(payload and mods)🤷♂️😣😜
Yeah but why would you put it on a Dodge? It will be recalled or break soon.
What size are the wheels
This truck is on 20x9.5 wheels.
@@CJCOffRoad With this suspension do you feel like you lose or gain anything from going with 20 inch wheels vs 18 ?
If so what are pros and cons of each ?
Thanks for replying appreciate the knowledge.
The more sidewall the better the ride, so you'd gain even more small bump compliance going with an 18/37 over a 20/37 setup!
@CJCoffroad when I move from Hawaii up to Nevada can you build my truck for me and bring it out to me in Vegas? LOL.
Definitely happy to build a truck. We've even built and shipped a few to Hawaii over the years!
