Thank you for providing such amazing content. I will try out this oil (and filter) in my 2012 Lexus CT200h. I also need to test my battery (re: your other video). I have been using Hybrid Assistant so far, but will be happy to also test my battery with Dr. Prius and Torque Pro. I have been a bit concerned lately, because my battery would sometimes drain about 5% just on start-up (within the first minute or so). May it because the car relies heavily on the hybrid battery before the engine warms up to S2? It's my first hybrid car so I'm still only getting to know its little secrets :D.

Would Shell 0w20 make my 2019 Corolla hybrid happy and thankful as well as "original" Mobile 1Toyota 0w20 oil ? My car is out of warranty. I can do it for much less myself especially with shell rather than mobile 1. Thanks

In the late 20th century, the term "Atkinson cycle" began to be used to describe a modified Otto-cycle engine-in which the intake valve is held open longer than normal, allowing a reverse flow of intake air into the intake manifold. This "simulated" Atkinson cycle is most notably used in the Toyota 1NZ-FXE engine from the early Prius and the Toyota Dynamic Force engine used by many vehicles.
May I ask you a question please I have a Toyota Yaris 1.5 Hybrid 2019 28,374 miles I brought last year 2023 second hand I 'had it serviced first year 2023 engine oil change I was told it needed an engine flush which I declined was told it needed new spark plugs declined also engine filter and pollen filter which I had already put in new filters. on the service report was highly recommended engine flush and filters again this year for service September 25 2024 was told it needed engine oil change and engine flush as recommended by manufactures again I declined and filters which I had already done twice first year and this year before my services were due to make sure all was ok.
They also said I needed break fluid change to take the moisture out which I let them do as the car was new to me I went ahead and had it done so to me everything's been done I checked the oil it was clean not dirty but they said it was slushy not so I know what slushy is in an engine thick black gunk mine is clear I just feel they are trying to get money out of people who can you trust theses days if you where in the uk I'd defiantly come to you to have my car serviced sorry this is long winded

I change my oil once a month, I use my Prius for running deliveries so I do a lot of hard miles. Super Tech 0w20 and Mobil 1 filter.
I go to Walmart buy mobil 1 0 -20 for $23 dollars i buy the original oil filter at dealership they do the labor for 35 dollars at toyota dealership. I always do my oil changes ever 10,000 miles but now am going do them every 5000 miles because it high mileage now.

The service done in Toyota because the warranty and they use 5w30 on all the cars.

Keep use the 5w30 or change it for 0w20

Here in Brazil Toyota also uses 5w-30 in my 2018 PRIUS. I think it has something about the temperature of operation. If it is a hot weather they use 5w-30. If it's cold, 0w-20.

Over 300.000km on my 2014 Yaris hybrid (same engine and drivetrain as the Aqua), using original Toyota 0W-20 oil. Many tests say its a very high quality oil, and its surprisingly cheap. I'm changing it every 15.000kms, the oil level doesn't go down in between.
Toyota original oil is definitely not the best, but is fine for 10k.

Hello. The Kia Niro Hybrid manufacturer recommends oil with a viscosity of 30 for its cars. Can I use oil for hybrid cars with a viscosity of 20?

I didn't notice any difference. analysis of this oil showed a high molybdenum content (150 mg/kg). although amsoil 0w20 oil contains even more than 250 mg/kg of molybdenum. but motul oil has less sulfated ash and sulfur content in the oil than amsoil oil. which is good for the catalyst. 0.95 and 0.193 for Motul versus 1.05 and 0.354 for Amsoil. Respect.

In Chile, Toyota uses 5w-30 only (in all their official workshops, even when the manuals of cars mention 0w-16. It is sad because there’s no choice if you want to preserve the warranty 😢

In my research over the years wrong oil viscosity can cause timing chain stretching do to causing high pressure and oil filter can be to good if causes restriction so be careful using to good of a filter.. stock is always best in my opinion.. Love the channel just my feedback...

I had a 1980 BMW 320I and I did 21000 mile oil changes with Amsoil. The engine still looked new inside with 180000 miles on it.

Which Engine oil should I use on the Toyota Fielder Hybrid 2014, 130000 KM ODO. I have been using 0w-20 Synthetic for the past 5 years; recently, I have d 0w-20 with SN/CF 10w-30 for the last two engine oil changes- 12000 KM.
The engine is dragging more power, and the fuel average has also reduced. Will it harm the engine if I return to OW-20 engine oil.?
Dear , I have one question to seek your guidance. I have Toyota Fielder Hybrid 2014, its current mileage is now around 130000 Km . I have been using Ow-20 thoughout until recently I have replaced 0w-20 (synthetic) with 5w-30 for last two oil changes. I am considering to go back to repalce with 0w-20 oil. I live in a country where temperature ranges between 25-50 in summer and 10-25 in winter season. Using sand paper is the best tool for tightening oil filter instead of clothes for my opinion. 😅

Toyota walks a fine line between fuel efficiency and engine wear. In my owners manual there are four oil choices on a temperature graph with them pushing 0W-20 for best fuel efficiency. What they don't tell you is that is the minimum you can run and get away with. You should be using a oil grade based on your owner's manual and the climate you live in.
Toyota's goal is the faster your engine wears out, the faster you buy a new car. If I was living in the Caribbean, I would never run a 0w-20 oil in my car and would surly never go 10,000km between oil changes. The only way you can tell the condition of your used oil is to send it for testing at a Oil Lab. That would be an interesting video. :)
So far after years it doing just great and engine still running as good as it gets 🫡✅ but the lab idea sounds great…

How many miles do you have on the engine?
My car is 1.5 patrol (gasoline) yaris 2021 . In manual recomanded 0w-16 but Toyota Turkey claims 5w30 is better. All official toyota services use 5w30. I suspect they do it for earning more money. Weather is 15-35 C not a cold climate. 60-95F I don care consume less gas. I want motor health longer. What should i use

I just changed my oil 2 days ago. The official Toyota service put 5w30. Should I change it now or should I wait for the next oil change. I change oil every 6 months. Everybody says thinner oils for better gas mileage and worse for motor longevity. They say thicker oils like 5w30 is better for your motor health. They say toyota sacrifice longevity for performing better gas mileage. But i think a motor should be used with oil that designed for. Some people say you shouldnt use such thin oil in such hot climate. And what do you think about engine flush process. Some peole says do it every oil change. Some says do it after 70-80k km some says don’t do it ever. It’s harmful. Huge thanks 🙏🏻
Привет из Греции.У нас тоже заливают 5w30 видимо из-за дешевизны этого масла.Но я принял решение летом заливать 5w30, а осенью в ноябре 0w16.Летом , действительно при повышении температуры масло разжижается и есть смысл его сменить на более густое.Еще я буду менять масло дважды в год,а не как рекомендуют официалов 1 раз или раз в15000 км.
Я написал письмо на завод Liqui moly и спросил какое масло мне подходит для Toyota Corolla cross hybrid летом,и получил ответ special tec aa 5w30.

You specified at one point that Hyundai ioniq is recommending 5w30, is that correct? In the user manual specifies 0w20 as being the best, the dealer used 5w30 Dexos 2. Which oil whould you recommend for Hyundai Ioniq UK?

Use the oil recommended by the manufacturer. The viscosity they choose is for the climate that the car is sold into. UK has a cooler climate, so uses a higher viscosity than in the hot Caribbean
If i move 0w 20 to 0W 16. Current mileage 50,000km.
If it is according to manufactures specs you can go a head with no problem at all...

amsoil is just the best and i have 20 years of oil anaysis and a 20 pick up truck fleet to prove it.
is the cost the same. Like maybe a cheap oil needs chanfing more often (3 times) but its 7 times cheaper?

Hello..... i have got a KIA hybrid 2012, it's a problem of not esponding to speed while acccelerating and its drains power from electric battery. the problem starts manifesting after a car has been moving for 15km.
This problem came after the car got service, they have change engine oil, gear box oil, courant and brake oil. More so, the tech guys have conducted diagnosis several times but there were no problem found. Any ideas with what is going on with my car. thanks

i have toyota aqua 2018 jdm recommended oil for it is 0w16 that is available in GAF-6b standerd 0w20 is GAF-6a standerd and also reverse compatible or old engine gaf 6b is not reverse compatible so what is your advise to use gaf 6b?

High performance lubricants, driven GP, are just a few of the best oils. Toyota oil has a lot of Molly probably due to the base oil or being good quality.

I did my 1st oil replacement with l at about 4,100 kms on my 2016 Camry Hybrid, but I normally change the oil on the 1si oil change on other vehicles at about 1,600 kms. All subsequent oil changes on my Camry Hybrid are done once year (where my kilometers varies between 14,000 to 19,000 kms (guaranteed by Amsoil in their Warraty). My Camry has 116,000 kms on the odometer with no signs of any sludge. What I love about the Amsoil Signature Series is the extra performance from the engine (that brings a smile to my face) and the increase in kms per liter, as well. Don't forget to change ATF with Amsoil Signature Series Fuel-Efficient ATF for the eCVT that will bring more pep and a further increase in kms per liter(which should be chansed every 80,000 kms.

This is what I'd like to know. I've long used 0w30 being the lightest oil I can buy. But the car almost has 200,000 miles and I know the engine doesn't feel as smooth any more.
For the sake of the ageing engine I've been using 10w40 synthetic.
It's less efficient during cold mornings but that's it.

@@hybridsolutiondiagnostics A hybrid vehicle and an electric vehicle are 2 different things. HEV stands for Hybrid Electric Vehicle, not Hybrid and Electric Vehicle. If you say Hybrid And Electric vehicle that means hybrid AND electric vehicles have petrol engines that require an oil change, which they don't.
It's what happens when you turn on the phone and casually talk to it and upload it. You make mistakes. You have to think carefully about what is being said. Have a stand with the camera and an iPad with a script. Maybe that will help. You're not Scotty Kilmer.

I note that you didn't mention the year of your Prius C. It appears that Toyota produced the Prius C only between the years 2012 to 2019 and the recommended grade of oil was the 0W-20.

Doing amsoil signature 0w20 my next 4k for the 1st time in 160k miles. I hope it's not too late. My 13 Camry hybrid is burning a court of oil every 2k miles. Hopefully the engine is still good and this oil solves the burning problem. I've always changed it before 5k regardless of oil brand before heading about this oil and treatment they sell. I just wanna have this baby for a million miles. lol

What does your Owner's Manual suggest or if it isn't available, it might be specified on your oil-fill cap on top your engine.
