Roofer Lead Brain: This is Your Brain on Leads (vs. on Your Brand)

  • Most of us remember the 80s promos about how the brain changes on drugs. The same concept is true for roofing leads. Roofers who want leads are addicted to a low-quality business lifecycle. They are so used to this brain mode that they don't realize much better options exist.
    We recently got a call from a roofer who expanded to 3 northeastern locations. They weren't expanding because of growth; they were expanding in an attempt to grow. This is an example of roofer lead brain.
    Instead of adequately translating your brand digitally to Google (The Big Show), you remain stuck in lead-to-lead survival mode, which never pays off long-term. When roofers think they have to "buy leads," they lose out on the lead generation process. So now you are getting store-bought leads (low-quality) instead of homegrown leads (high-quality).
    To get out of this cycle, the mindset must shift to brand. When your brain is focused on the brand, you start getting consistent leads without living in survival mode. In addition, a strong brand correlates strongly with ranking on The Big Show, which is the best way to grow your roofing business in 2023.
