"the joy on her face brings me joy" - You said it brother! ...what we're all feeling watching her... she's tapping into what music is really all about in the first place... no pretense, no worry or anxiety, just getting completely lost in it with complete innocence, doing what she really loves.
Bruh! A german girl (me) watches an american guy watching a japanese kid beating the shit outta RATM. Couldn't be happier right now. Thanks, man! Thanks, Yoyoka!❤
calamity britt And I am a woman half Japanese half Brazilian, reading comments from a German girl who is watching an American guy etcetera... the music has no borders or races, the music has soul and heart ❤️ thanks 😊
@@wheresatari6242 One of the latest videos has her mom, video name: "Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine / Cover by Yoyoka & Yoyoka's mom" :-)
Bro! I am a drummer myself, and have watched probably 1,000 different drum covers of different songs. But I'm here to tell you this little cutie did not miss even one gawt dam beat....that was so beautiful it brought a dam tear to my eye 😍💪🤜🤛
If you think this was tight, listen to Guerilla Radio (Rage) by Yoyoka. It is technically perfect and her base drum footwork is so satisfying to watch!!
Lol. Now that you’ve jumped into this realm you need to see her playing Good Times, Bad Times by Zeppelin. There’s also a video of Robert Plant (Zeppelin’s singer) reacting to her playing
I just found out about her yesterday. Watched GT, BT and the reaction video by RP. Amazing. So cool. When Robert said that Bonzo would be so chuffed. Wow.
I'm glad she is now recognized as a world class drummer and not just a cute kid who can play the drums. She has learned and plays everything by ear and only needs 1-2 hours to learn a new song and play it in one take for youtube. She is so expressive because she doesn't copy the original but adds her flavor to everything. And she is only getting started and getting even stronger and expressive.
My favorite of Yoyoka's covers is doing Stray Cats Strut, it's her standing with her snare and one cymbal, dancing around and keeping perfect beat, she's amazing!
Love your comments, “the smile on her face puts a smile on my face” pure gold sir that’s what life is all about enjoying the uniqueness of one another by god’s will. That’s why he made us all different and unique. Stay safe my brother.
Great comment..."the joy on her face brings me joy"...well said!...I think it brings the whole world joy. My day is now off to a better start...Thanks J.
EVEN ROBERT PLANT SAID, "I KNOW WHERE SHE CAN GET WORK!!" hopefully she doesnt get burned out at such a young age...she is AWESOME!! LOVED THE LOOK on your face at the end...like, "now...that...is...perfection!!" great drummer...hoping for the best for her future..
What a freak of nature... she's better than about 99% of the drummers I've ever played with! Those ghost notes are amazing, and the power... just incredible. She also does Rosanna by Toto.
Congrats on finding Yoyoka. My fav of hers is Grand Funk Railroad An American Band but Do Not Miss her Toto cover the skill on that song is mindblowing.
The JOY on her face is EXACTLY it. I have seen video after video on YT of children performing music perfectly,BUT with no expression no love for it, no joy. She is having a blast and like you it makes me feel good to know she's enjoying herself and her talent.
Jamal welcome to the world of Yoyoka. She is so technically amazing,no short cuts. She’s been on TH-cam for at least 3 years now. No matter the drummer even John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant Zep’s vocalist has a reaction on TH-cam. She blew him away
"The joy on her face brings me joy". I felt the same way when i first saw her play on you tube it almost brought me to tears on the real. She is a prodigy and something beautiful in an ugly world right now.
I thought she rushed to get that video out before she had perfected the nuances of that shufle. Don't get me wrong, I can't play the drums to save myself and I love her to death (have been a paid subscriber to her channel for a year or so), but I felt she was too excited to show off her newest style before she was actually ready. She later put out a version of Jimiroquai's Virtual Insanity that has the same shuffle and she absolutely nailed that one! She is so great to watch.
Your face at 5:04 says it all. Not only is she a delight to watch, but she is also incredibly good! Her groove and natural ability is beyond us mere mortals. Great reaction!!
The truly amazing thing about Yoyoka is that she has vids of her giving drum lessons on line available on TH-cam when she is 5 yrs old....She almost always performs only the best drummers in rock...She has a natural gift of showmanship as well...
It's so flipping heartwarming to see other people react and be moved by such talent. "Oh my goodness, you see her lil feets?!". I love it! Such a beautiful positivity in a trying time. Stay safe, everyone.
I like the moment when she plays this mini solo in between, with that awesome tight timed drum roll ... look at your face. I was astonished too when I heard it the first time.
Thats my girl! Shes awesome! She looks like shes having so much fun when she plays. And, yeah, shes legit! There is a video on here of her playing live in concert with Fallout Boy, doing "Going Down". Great clip, you should check it out.
She has serious skills, and not just for a 10 year old. She’s already easily good enough to be in any band on earth. Check out some of her more technical videos.
She not only kills this song she ADDS drum fills. I always wanted to play the drums.... I think I'll stick with drinking beers and doing the laundry... can't wait to see where she will be in 10 years... GO YOYOKA!
what i love..if you watch the cam in the lower window..her little foot can just barely reach the kick pedal and shes doing double and triple rolls on that base drum
My initial response to seeing Yoyoka for the first time, A perfect blend of Joy, Ferocity, and Talent. I've never been that good at anything in my life and shes only 10.
Oh now I see, this is the first time you’ve seen her! Yes I did have the same reaction and I think she is arguably the best drummer on here and definitely better than anyone under 18 as I said in the other reaction video. Your reactions are priceless!

So glad you reacted to Yoyoka and hope you do some more - especially her Led Zeppelin and Rush covers. Her improve stuff is equally amazing. It won't be long before she's on the short list with Buddy Rich and Neil Peart.
Yoyoka is a treasure! You're right about her joy being infectious, she makes me want to learn to play drums. As others are saying check out her "Good Times Bad Times" from when she was 8 (there's actually two from that age, do the green shirt yellow pants one). But also, for just pure joy, check out her cover of The Stray Cats "Rock This Town"
If seeing Yoyoka play some of these songs doesn't make your heart smile, you probably ain't got a heart. lol. After 20 years of not playing guitar, i restarted after seeing her playing 'killing in the name of' on TH-cam

Yoyoka does a lot of drum covers, she's bad ass and cute as a button!
Perfect definition!
So cute, and it cracks me up that she can barely reach the bass pedal but still rocks. Credit to her folks for getting her out to the world.
