Great video. Yoyoka really is an amazing musician. Even the simplest straight rhythms somehow have a deep groove, she hits SO hard, and she plays technically difficult stuff like it's nothing. And through it all she looks like she's having fun.
Whatever the song, it's obvious that Yoyoka feels exactly how it's meant to be played. That's the huge difference with other kids (... and adults!) doing "covers". She plays it as if she had written it! With the same pleasure.
Exactly....as if she has written it. Listen to reactions/reading comments: Often people say things like: "I have to check out, if that is included in the original song." THIS is no wonder. I for one watched Senri Kawaguchis Onyx played by her, and played by Yoyoka. I don't know what it is....but 7 year old Yoyoka is really GOOD.
Yoyoka's Young innocence allows Her to play purely from the pleasure of it, She's always have Fun, Her parents have obviously put no real pressure on that would take that away from Her, I've been watching Her for a few years now, & Her Happiness as a child playing always spreads to those who watch Her, & puts things back into perspective for Me, no matter how crappy things are going for Me at the time, it always turns a bad day into Sunshine! Tust Me...Try It! Peace Out.....& Rock On Beyonder
Hi Alex! Great reaction, thanks! :) Doesn't matter if you know anything about drumming. Just watch, listen and feel. This little muppet is a world class rock drummer, blessed with parents who support her in every possible way. Love this kid❤
Hell yessss! :D SHe has sooo many good covers of so many outstanding classics ^_^ I love her "Good Times, Bad Times" cover, it was when she was 8 but I still love it!
She's gotta be natural - and she started drumming at 2. No wonder why she's so perfect. She's loving it. And she is even better now. Does her own stuff, too I seem to remember her saying. Hope she finds great band mates to play with in the future!
The dancer's my daughter said that yoyoka was like a dancer playing the drums. Senri Kawaguchi is well known as a female drummer in Japan, but I like Yoyoka's drumming, which is both fascinating to watch and listen to. I recommend the collaboration between Li-sa-X and Yoyoka. Why not be surprised by Li-sa-X's guitar as well as yoyoka's drums? - Joe Satriani - Satch Boogie / Coverd by Li-sa X & Yoyoka (I tweeted again today, hopefully yoyoka & mom will notice.) FYI Li-sa-X : guiter 02/2005 15yrs old Yoyoka : drum 10/2009 10yrs old
Yoyoka is a natural! Her musical likes are so far and wide, but whatever she plays, she gives it a thousand percent of heart and soul and a pinch of plain old love for rock and roll!
This is just too easy for Yoyoka. As for comparing her with Nandi Bushell, Yoyoka is on a different level entirely. You are witnessing the birth of a rock legend.
Hope you"ve been keeping up with Yoyoka. Not just rock now but jazz as well. Regular at the Whisky, Ultimate Rock Jam. 3 jazzfusion albums recorded, covers how about Colorado Bulldog. And had the call from Natada Michael Walden. 14 on 12th Oct 23.
These kids is the two girls I was thinking the same thing, get them together just this girl is like smooth. Both of these girls could stand in for the drummers of the bands if they couldn't make it they could get up there and kill it you should try to put them together!!!
Of course there is effort.... Watch Jimmi Hendrix play guitar. He made some effort. It's like in school: I had to be served the stuff several times before I got it. Others got it on first or second try. That's the course of the world.
Love this kid! Her most recent videos include groovy MrBig song, with Billy Sheehan!, and YYZ, and groovy Sass Jordan song (with kudos from Three of the musicians on the original), and this cover of Ozzy, all great Over the Mountain th-cam.com/video/Wf3q0LP_CJw/w-d-xo.html I keep waiting for the video where she learns to use the microwave. After all, she’ll be 11 next month, entering what, 5-6th grade?!
I love her! ❣️ Try her covers of : Ozzy, Over The Mountain (with friends) Sass Jordan Put you thru Pretender Stone Cold Crazy Rush, YYZ These are much more challenging, she just blows me away. First I get a silly grin on my face, then the endorphins start cranking out. It's just her joy and personality, she makes me happy!
So I see you have experienced the joy of Yoyoka. She has tapped into something big and we in turn are exposed to that by watching her play. Inexplicable. She just did a song Take Cover with some veteran musicians. Not flashy. Very low key. But quite complex involving limb independence. Oh she met the bass player in LA at the NAMM show. He was voted Best Rock bassist 5 times by Guitar Player magazine. Have fun! Check out YYZ her tribute to the late geat Neil Peart you can see she just went thru a growth spurt. She turns 11 this month!
Steve LeMaster John Bonham is her favorite drummer, her inspiration, and as she said “Led Zeppelin changed my life“. She played a lot of Zep songs, always rocking! So there is that question that many people ask: Yoyoka is Bonham reincarnated? 🤔😳😲
Love Yoyoka!!!! Please check out Japanese drummergirl Junna! She IS the hardest hitting female around! Her cover of Dragonforce "Through the fire and flames" is fenomenal!!!
totally unsurpassable at any level by anyone .at any time total power and timing .she makes every cover her own ...it has to be the socks ..because nobody i mean nobody does it better...
New subscriber enjoyed your commentary thanks she has many covers check out sass Jordan high road easy ,or YYZ rush cover ,over the mountain -lazy Osbourne cover or nirvana drain you . She even better.stay safe.
When I first came across her on youtube ( Good Times Bad times) I swore it was some kind of manipulation to make it seem like it was her playing. I watched it 6 times straight before I could believe it was for real.
She doesn't just go through the motions. She whips the sicks. Technically pretty perfect, but she feels the music. That's what makes her special.
Her triples on the kicks goddamn awesome
Great video. Yoyoka really is an amazing musician. Even the simplest straight rhythms somehow have a deep groove, she hits SO hard, and she plays technically difficult stuff like it's nothing. And through it all she looks like she's having fun.
Robert Plant said "It's like falling of a log for her"
She beats the drums like they owe her money!!!
@@AnoNymous-ek1wr Today is her birthday, finally 11!
th-cam.com/video/fhIKtBWPSNQ/w-d-xo.html Wish her happy birthday :)
Whatever the song, it's obvious that Yoyoka feels exactly how it's meant to be played. That's the huge difference with other kids (... and adults!) doing "covers". She plays it as if she had written it! With the same pleasure.
I think you really hit it on the head here! She FEELS the song.
This is exactly the reason, i only look yoyoka. Yes!!!
She's so fast & talented on every aspect in music , she also plays guitar & piano !!!!
Really enjoyed your 2 reactions (so far) to Yoyoka ! I enjoy every performance of hers. She feels the music and puts her soul into it.
Hi Alex! Great reaction, thanks! :)
Doesn't matter if you know anything about drumming. Just watch, listen and feel. This little muppet is a world class rock drummer, blessed with parents who support her in every possible way. Love this kid❤
I thought the same. What talent is squandered in the big continent of Africa, for example, where kids do not remotely have these chances.
I believe it’s impossible to watch Yoyoka play and not smile.
I could watch yoyoka. All day. She is a beast. the cutest beast ever 🤩
Great reaction and glad you're showcasing young talent. Yoyoka is different, she seems to be possessed when she plays, her soul is music.
Simply pur she rocks! She has plenty of amazing things to see.
Hell yessss! :D SHe has sooo many good covers of so many outstanding classics ^_^
I love her "Good Times, Bad Times" cover, it was when she was 8 but I still love it!
Nandi is very talented. But, Yoyoka is on a whole nother level!
That's the absolute truth! 💯
Yoyoka is a professional!
Agreed, Yoyoka is something else...
th-cam.com/video/91YNIJse0xo/w-d-xo.html
I agree 100% shes super fantastic.
True. I think she's a pure rocker. The way she hits her drums are just brutal for someone that young.
Agreed
She recently did Dazed and Confused. 4:58 - 5:04 gave me goosebumps!
She's gotta be natural - and she started drumming at 2. No wonder why she's so perfect. She's loving it. And she is even better now. Does her own stuff, too I seem to remember her saying. Hope she finds great band mates to play with in the future!
And been giging since she was 4
Love when she starts throwing in those double Bass kicks on some songs,,, just to let you know what's coming in the future! :D \,,/

very good suggestion!

She just did a cover of Deep Purple's Burn....OMG it is incredible.
Its fantastic at any age but at 9 years old it super fantastic.🤣🤯😎👍
the whole family of her is crazy about music :D
And Japanese female drummers are really on another level and age :D
Absolutely! An entirely different level.
This is just too easy for Yoyoka. As for comparing her with Nandi Bushell, Yoyoka is on a different level entirely. You are witnessing the birth of a rock legend.

The POWER!!! The JOY!!!!!!!!!!!
These kids is the two girls I was thinking the same thing, get them together just this girl is like smooth. Both of these girls could stand in for the drummers of the bands if they couldn't make it they could get up there and kill it you should try to put them together!!!
She nails every cover without any effort
Of course there is effort....
Watch Jimmi Hendrix play guitar. He made some effort. It's like in school: I had to be served the stuff several times before I got it. Others got it on first or second try. That's the course of the world.
She’s the best! Watching Yoyoka drum is the best! I can’t wait to watch her live in concert or even videos of her playing in studio.
Yoyoka really is an amazing musician
Hey Yoyo peeps. Sponsor this generational musician and drummer. And...buy her merch. Be part of something Universally unique.
Yoyoka has left the child drummer thing long behind her. She is a drummer who happens to be 11(now).
And yes, you can set your watch to her.
Agreed 100 percent
Yes. I think she left it since she was 7.
Love this kid! Her most recent videos include groovy MrBig song, with Billy Sheehan!, and YYZ, and groovy Sass Jordan song (with kudos from Three of the musicians on the original), and this cover of Ozzy, all great

Try her covers of :
Ozzy, Over The Mountain (with friends)
Sass Jordan

Pretender
Stone Cold Crazy
Rush, YYZ
These are much more challenging,

You are absolutely right, she is a ray of sunshine.
Bro, that girl could drum like John Bonham (May he rest in peace...) of Led Zeppelin when she was just 6 years old.
Awesomeness !!
Not even Dave Grohl does the doubling of speed on the bass pedals at the end.😳😁
The force is strong in this one ☝️
You are so right these girls need to set something up that would be awesome

Spot on my friend.
11 on the 11th October and as others have mentioned she is operating at another level. Thank you for reacting to Yoyoka.
and i think she added her own very interesting embellishments.
I love 💞 Yoyoka.
Thanks 😘👍
That was awesome
John Bonham - can you play the drums to The Levy Breaks?
Yoyoka - hold my milk. And watch how you inspired me.
Steve LeMaster
John Bonham is her favorite drummer, her inspiration, and as she said “Led Zeppelin changed my life“. She played a lot of Zep songs, always rocking! So there is that question that many people ask: Yoyoka is Bonham reincarnated? 🤔😳😲

Red Hot Chili Peppers
"By the Way"
This will show you
her talent.
Amazing young girl.
That is crazy. Yoyoka kills it. This is just one of her 20 covers that are my favorites. Steam is a good song too.
'She beats them like they owe her money!!!!!' Not my saying but oh so true!
Nandy and Kanei Yoyoka...drumming NO DOUBT.
Fucking sick... you can't become a drummer at that caliber in 100 years period.
My reaction 🥰🤘🥰🤗👽🤷♂️♥️
She has played more difficult songs than a nirvana song.
New subscriber enjoyed your commentary thanks she has many covers check out sass Jordan high road easy ,or YYZ rush cover ,over the mountain -lazy Osbourne cover or nirvana drain you . She even better.stay safe.
This is her best video by far. Make sure you have subtitles on. See th-cam.com/video/yk8E7RFuV7k/w-d-xo.html
Excelente video amigo SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA. 😀😀😀👍👍👍
Ola😁
You looking like a proud father..
Just for to show you... No matter want you do... there's a 9 year old Japanese girl that can do it better 😎
I wonder what Ginger Baker thought of her abilities
She just recently did a cover of him.
I am definitely going to have to improve my drumming skills
in polka dot socks...
SHE....A LONG WITH SENRI K. AND KANADE S. ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!!!!
Watch her do dazed and confused by led zep
If she'd been around at that time, I'm willing to bet that Kurt would have hired her instead of David Grohl...just sayin 🤷
When I first came across her on youtube ( Good Times Bad times) I swore it was some kind of manipulation to make it seem like it was her playing. I watched it 6 times straight before I could believe it was for real.
Watch her cover yyz by rush
Why you did not show the whole Song without your comments.. to be able to really hear if there were any errors...or just simply enjoy the music..?
Lars alrich look out
please reacto to Avenged Sevenfold - A little peace of heaven live in lbc
