I just watched your video with the four ladies that took your home tour. It was very special and I truly enjoyed seeing the five of you together! Your home and grounds are spectacular!!!
Oh thank you! It was such a wonderful time and so renewing. I'm grateful Andrea sent you my way! My video about this gathering will come out next Friday.
Loveeeee this bedroom. SO perfect. I don't think the room is in need of anything, but a linen bunting might be cute in this English picnic design. You're so talented!
It's perfection! I love everything! I think keeping the wood shiplap a wood tone would be nice. Either seal it or maybe stain it darker? You have such an eye for styling your home. So inspiring!
Hi, I love the warm, cozy, relaxed feel of this room. The mix of wood tones evokes nature. I would leave the shiplap natural and if you seal it use a matt finish. You have done a beautiful job creating a tranquil space for your children. God bless you & your family.💕
What a beautiful space! You really did it! Leave the wood natural. Looks great with your doors and the different wood colors makes it cozy. Above maybe some black and white pictures of the kids playing outside in a darker frame of wood painted green as the wallpaper to wrap everything together. You are very talented.
This room has such wonderful light and a pleasant coziness. I love the linen bunting idea someone shared! I also have seen collections of different shaped vintage mirrors, all different sizes, hung in a wall grouping. I think that would be cute by your daughter's bed. What a lovely home you have! I enjoyed seeing Andrea's video of their visit to your place. I absolutely love that drawing of Jesus! What a cherished gift! Many blessings to you and your family! Thanks for the tour!
Match the board wall with the door. Natural seems to be your classic finish.? Empty wall can hold a shelf for art work, antique toys, seasonal accents. Lots of fun to be had in this room!
You could always match paint to the color green that you have in the gingham. Just bring a piece of the wallpaper to the paint store and they will match it exactly. Just an idea!
I definitely think the wooden wall needs painted, and cozy quilts hanging above it might be just the trick. Even some embroidered samplers would be neat mixed in. Mebbe a chalk board above the cubbies would work.
Hanging quilts!!!! Why didn't I think of that?! That would be so cozy and give it the perfect picnic vibe. Thank you so much! You are full of amazing ideas, I bet your home is so fun!
I like the natural wood, especially when you pan to the doors. I think the orange redwood dresser in the middle is what is fighting the natural wood. Maybe try lightening it with Dixie bells oh natural voodoo stain. Or a small dresser painted green there.
Hello, I love your Channel. Your children's bedroom is absolutely perfect 👌. The Colors are right, the settings are right, the beds are gorgeous, the gingham wall couldn't have been better. Now your wood half wall just brings it all together, if I could give you my OPINION, I would leave it as is, perhaps just put a Sealer. It speaks Country, it speaks pleasant, it speaks look at me I am beautiful. I would just add one thing to the mix, that would be a MIRROR. WE in life all like to see how we look. It brings a smile and we then can start our day. ❤🙏🙏
Thank you for all your kind words! I absolutely love your opinion and appreciate ie. The wood does give it that country vibe I was hoping for. I have actually been searching for just the right mirror to add! They do have a small one in their closet, but I feel like the older my gift gets the more she would appreciate a bigger mirror. The boy doesn't seem to care what he looks like! Ha!
Hi Cami, I absolutely love this room. Since you asked for suggestions on shop lap wall, have you considered staining the wall to match the little dresser and coming with a darker stain to match the bed in the grooves and ledge. I’m such a visual person so I’m inserting a picture that might help explain my thoughts on the wall..tying both colors .. well that didn’t work..couldn’t figure out how to insert picture 😂
23:05 Thanks to Google Lens I'm finding that wonderful country folk art piece is by Arlene Fisher. I'll be on the hunt to see if I can find a print for sure!
I think the wood paneling should be the same as the walls, because it will blend in rather than stick out. You already have the wallpaper as your focal point.
Hi Cami, it’s been so much fun watching you today. Your so talented. I found you watching Andrea on her trip. You all looked terrific. Keep up the great job❤️🙏❤️
I like the natural wood tone. As for the empty walls I would just wait for the perfect art to come along. Perhaps some picnic pics or some beautiful outdoor scenes, don’t rush it you will find what’s perfect and the fun is in the hunt 😂❤
I think you are right. This is going to be a fun reason to keep thrifting and looking for unique finds to finish up the space. Thanks for the encouragement and for watching today!
I love decorating with different wood tones - so glad you did that in your decor. I love the nightstand piece and your beds! AND gingham! This is such a cute bedroom. How cute is the vintage children’s clothes above their beds?! Great job, Cami!
@@TIDBITSandCompany I also saw your home tour through Andrea's channel. God has certainly gifted you with a keen eye for making your home so lovely and welcoming. You're a gracious and most generous hostess. The boy's room is so well thought through.
The design in this makeover of your children 's room is very unique. Thanks for sharing your theme and ideas. Great to know that brother and sister share the same room.😊😂
Thank you!! I actually tried to avoid pinterest or social media for this space and just create what I could see in my head. I think that is what made it so unique and gave me so much joy. Thank you so much for watching! It might get weird to have brother and sister sharing in a couple more years, but for now they are best buds and have so much fun I didn't want to split them up.
I love this room, you have great vision As far as the wood slat wall, I would only stain it one shade darker, the color of a walnut shell. It would blend better with the nightstand, you wouldn't want it to be too dark. I just admire your skills in home decorating, probably because I'm so fond of the greens with grey undertones.
Very pretty room. I’m not sure if the wood wall is the right style for this room. Personally I would paint it maybe green like the wall paper or ivory. I do think you definitely can mix wood tones but I feel like it’s more rustic than the European look of the rest of your home.
Beautiful room. If it were me, I would just seal that wood. I love light and airy spaces but that's just me. Very few pain colors appeal to me but light grays, creams or soft whites.
Thank you! I imagine you saw it on Andrea's channel. Truly appreciate you coming by mine. Hope to see comments from you and chat with you again Cheryl.
I would leave the wood natural & just seal it. I think it goes perfectly in their room with all the other wood tones & colors you have going on. I would also take my time with that blank wall & look for vintage artwork that would go with your scheme. I absolutely love how it all turned out , so beautiful!
I love it! So happy to find your reveal this morning. I think the most practical wood wall is the sealing of it. Then it could blend with the bedroom door. Nothing to change at a later date.
I love how the room turned out!! If it were my space I would leave the wood unfinished, but of course it would look nice painted too. I like the idea of shelves above the cubby area too. I can envision a large rectangular painting of a farmside grassy knoll on the other wall. I'm sure you'll find the perfect solution, sit with it a bit more.
The design of the room is adorable. ❤️ By the colours on my screen it looks like the wood wall is similar to your doors, I think you should just seal it. ❤️ I like the different colours of wood ,it adds interest to the room. ❤️Thanks for sharing.❤️
Hi Cami, I would consider painting the wood on the wall the same green as in the wallpaper. I think this would give a better balance to the room. I would also consider putting more of the gingham wallpaper above the painted wood. I so enjoy your channel!
I hadn't thought of doing a green, but that might give it a nice balance. I just worry with the rug it would be too much. I might have to grab some larger paint samples and try to envision it. Thanks a ton for watching and for sharing your thoughts!
Hi Cami! New subscriber here….saw your home on Pine and Prospect! I love the rug in your living room space and was wondering where I could find one for my home? Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us! I’m looking forward to binge watching your videos😊. ~Becky~
Thank you so much for coming from Andrea's! I adore her! She slept in this room when she was visiting! Ha! I linked the rug in the description or just head here for all the sources. The rug is amazing and comes in a lot of fun colors. It did pill a little when we first got it because it is wool, but that has really died down and is perfect now. www.moonsift.com/collection/tidbitsandcompany/jQlkL3h3NZgzzMphdwEk
I love yout style and all the attention to detail. I do have a question and I'm not trying to be critical in any way but how long can you keep a brother and sister together like this in one bedroom? I had all boys so i really don't know just really curious. My middle sons best friend was a girl up to about 3rd grade .this was many, manyoons ago.
It is a very valid question!! I am thinking a year or two more at most, then my daughter will be well into her teens and it feels awkward to me at that point. I have 2 other teen girls that I can easily put her with at that point. But these two youngest of mine are absolutely best friends and they have the best of times together in their room reading books to each other and playing. I just didn't want to give that up quite yet. We have even just certified as foster care parents and I tried to make this room thinking it could be for girls or boys and may need to adapt easily. That was my biggest goal, but for now it works great for these two. Thanks a ton for watching!
I had mine together for years because they loved sharing rooms even though they were 4 years apart. My older daughter didn’t want to share her room with her 2 year younger sister, so it worked out well. They missed those moments once they got their own rooms.
I like the tone that the wood is, so I would just go ahead and seal it. Along that wall I would run a strip of corkboard or a string with clothes pins for the kids to hang up their artwork. Something to make it more theirs. I thought that this room was a guest room at first. It's really cute, but lacking the "kids live here" vibe.
So glad to hear it! I definitely will live with it for a long time - but maybe the painting bug will hit in a year or two. Haha! What a cute idea to add some linen bunting!! Oh my, I think I have to do that now. Thank you for watching and that amazing suggestion.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the room❤and the yellow is the perfect shade!
I love the room as is!!! I really love the natural wall being plain above. A pic or shelves above the cubbies would be cute.
It's perfection! I love everything! I think keeping the wood shiplap a wood tone would be nice. Either seal it or maybe stain it darker? You have such an eye for styling your home. So inspiring!
Just matte seal it because I love the mixed woods mimicking outdoors and picnic idea❤

I like the natural wood tone.
Love love the room . Don’t paint the wood on the wall. Your inspiration of a picnic “ feeling” was definitely achieved !
Paint the wood wall the same color as the gingham wall. Such a precious room!
You could always match paint to the color green that you have in the gingham. Just bring a piece of the wallpaper to the paint store and they will match it exactly. Just an idea!
Love this bedroom! I love the layers and colors and art! I would paint the wood wall a darker green or navy! 😊
I love the room how it is...I'd just leave the wood put a polyurethane on it in a matt finish. You are very talented. So pretty!

@@TIDBITSandCompany You’re welcome! Your home inside and out is warm, welcoming and full of inspiration! Decorating and gardening are therapy for me!
I would paint it green to match the wallpaper to bring both walls together ❤
Someone else had that suggestion and I didn't even think about green! But it would pull it together nicely. Thanks so much for watching!
I like the natural wood, especially when you pan to the doors. I think the orange redwood dresser in the middle is what is fighting the natural wood. Maybe try lightening it with Dixie bells oh natural voodoo stain. Or a small dresser painted green there.

hey girl- love the makeover! Oh so pretty😀😉 I like the wood wall just the way it is- so cool🥰
New to you. Saw the tour with Kristen and Andrea. I love the wood wall natural. You have a lovely home. Glad we met. 😂
Such a beautiful bedroom, with that collected-over-time look! Those beds definitely will be heirloom pieces...Jenny Lind-esque. Fabulous. 🤍
Yes, I think they could easily be heirlooms and were easy to justify that way! Ha! Thanks for watching dear friend.

Lovely room. No need to paint or stain the wood.

Thanks for answering this question. Makes alot of sense.
I had mine together for years because they loved sharing rooms even though they were 4 years apart. My older daughter didn’t want to share her room with her 2 year younger sister, so it worked out well. They missed those moments once they got their own rooms.
Maybe white wash the paneling???🤔
I like the tone that the wood is, so I would just go ahead and seal it. Along that wall I would run a strip of corkboard or a string with clothes pins for the kids to hang up their artwork. While they liked it with the loft, I knew as their mother I could make it feel better and function better for them. They have helped me with every decision - like the wallpaper, beds, bedding, etc. We had so much fun talking about what to bring in. I assure you, they are so happy with it! In fact, they have been in there together today for 7 hours playing legos and it warms my heart that they have more open floor to do that and it won't be hard for them to clean up.
