Scarecrow & Mrs. King was one of my mom's favorite shows when I was a kid. I remember watching it with her. I was 7 when it started & 11 when it ended. I was sad to see it end. When I found out it was on Tubi, I've been watching it a lot. It reminds me of the many times I watched it with my mom.
I love Scarecrow and Mrs King I taped every episode on VHS tapes and lost them when our house burnt. Everyone got out ok except our dog and cat so VHS tapes are pretty trivial but my son found the first season on DVD and got it for my birthday a few years later. Good memories

When Lee being all debonair walking down that grand staircase looking at Amanda the whole way your right you can tell he is really starting to look at Amanda in a different way. Remember the first time they met was at the train station. Where he finds Amanda who just took her sometimes spends the night boyfriend to his train. I think Lee in between making sure whose after him and the package he’s trying to deliver doesn’t get him killed and the package doesn’t get taken by the wrong people. Finds a beautiful woman wearing a trench coat 🧥 over her nightgown. Decides she would be a person that could finish the hand off to the man in the red hat. So he talks her into finishing the hand off he doesn’t even get her name. Then after he gets the crap knocked out of him. He’s told by his boss that the man in the red hat didn’t get the package and after he gets yelled at for handling it off to a woman who is a total stranger. He has to use his spy skills to find her and find out why she didn’t hand the package to the man in the red hat. When he. Finds her this time after her kids baseball game he disguises as a pirate car hop at a drive-in. Where she tries to tell him why but the kids want to know why she’s talking to that man. That’s when he puts his business card on her wind shield and tells her to call him. She calls him and finds out he’s a spy. That’s when the staircase and the door chase in the parking garage Amanda really loved holding on to Lee a little more than she should have and he loved her holding on to him a little too much also. That I kisses I think the first reality one was the football 🏈 one. The look on Lee’s face when they stopped kissing it was he love it and one kiss wasn’t going to be enough for him. The look on Amanda’s face was of shock because she wasn’t expecting anything like that but she wouldn’t say no to another one at another time. You really knew it when he couldn’t live with knowing Amanda could be killed if he doesn’t give the Russians their top spy back . He didn’t care if he was changed with treason he only cared that Amanda was alive. You knew Amanda was starting to have feelings for Lee because she couldn’t handle not helping her since he was basically throwing away his career so she could live. They were part time partners, Billy wanted Amanda for Lee’s partner because he knew Lee wouldn’t do the the ruff and tough stunts that he is being noted for that is going to get him killed. With Amanda he has someone he has to be accountable with keeping her alive in in one piece. Hard to believe at least at the beginning Lee and Amanda were only going to be partners maybe friends but no lovers and definitely not married. On talk shows both of them have said that well more Bruce than Kate after a while she liked to take their relationship to at least the kissing stage. The Merv Griffins talk shows #2 the one that’s 7:33. They talk about all of the fan mail they had been getting. They It’s credited that as Kate puts it the lovely people of Huston in support of Amanda King. Because beforehand the start of the season there was an article about how Amanda King was going to get a new boyfriend. Bruce then says That hIs article said that Scarecrow was getting a new girlfriend. Then they both Describe how the note was made and how it was threatening. It was all cut out letters to make it look like a ransom letter. Kate tells Merv that it said NEW GIRLFRIEND NO! Then Bruce tells them DITCH THE NEW GIRL OR ELSE! They both decided that they were going to make it believable. Which they really did they decided that they would stay in character whenever they are were on set. That’s 5 days a week 12 to 14 hours a day for 23 weeks then 3 months off then back to 5,12-14,23 for 4 years. I think that’s enough time to figure out how to be a loving couple. I guess of Kate didn’t get Brest cancer they say it could have gone another 4 years+.

I know the changes were dropped or SMK would have ended at the end of this show if the change of treason stuck. How did they get the chargers dropped? I also love that you put the clip with Amanda throwing the drink 🍹 in Lee’s face I love that one especially when she adds and frankly Jimmy Joe you’re disappointing in bed, Lee says she’s a ham.

Amanda, found the house back and they got the spy that Lee traded her for and his boss into custody.
I agree totally, you could see it onLee's face from the first episode. Billy saw it, that's why he put them together. No other actor could have played Lee Stetson better than Bruce Boxleitner did or Kate Jackson as Amanda. They were the best
