Risen Teostra Solo 7'26" (GS, no pets/augments) [MHR: Sunbreak PC]

Since TU3 hit and made augments even crazier, I decided to go in the opposite direction and see how well I can perform with vanilla unaugmented sets. The new elder armor sets are very strong so I was able to put a few together that seem pretty decent overall but definitely weaker than my old ones.
The positive of no pets is (mostly) managing aggro all by yourself, but losing out on free sleeps for 5-6k damage hits AND the third wirebug summon is devastating for GS. I had to route around the wild wirebug spawns very heavily and I still suffered when I was stuck in an area without one.
Risen Teo is extremely technical since he's so fast and produces so many projectiles and AOEs, along with variable move chains that can trip up even the best hunters. The way he moves his head during his most common post-move taunt can mean it's very hard to get the first hit of TCS (power) so most of the time I just don't bother for those. It's also risky to try and delay the strongarm TCS because his recovery can be VERY fast if you don't flinch him. I basically banged my head against this quest for 2 days until I got him to cooperate while trying out new counter opportunities. Overall he's very fun to fight but it's really frustrating when he spams quick paw slams and pounces that you can't really punish or interact with. He also has a LOT of health so the probability of him throwing a tantrum and doing this is relatively high.
As always no cheats/hacks, though if I were seriously speedrunning I would 100% force him to spawn in area 2 which is the rarest spawn. I suspect the best runs will start him there too.

I'm still learning it too, I mis-angled so many counters this run that it's embarassing to watch the full video again

@@mugwort1 This run took way less time than what any of my hunts do. And this is coming from someone who had over 1K hours in world before the release of Rise 😂

@@TheEvanDude112 Don't forget all the resets involved in getting teo to cooperate properly! The final section of the fight in the underground section was basically perfect move RNG, almost every single thing he did was counterable which is very rare for this monster.
