I've been in a Stage 2 and Stage 3, the Stage 3 is much much more. Feels a lot better, power feels endless, little to no drop off, and this one is running conservatively.
@@JXLPerformance MRC have quoted 5800 for there lowest stage 3 setup. 500ps. And about 600 to 620nm. You can then spend like 10k and get 550 to 600 hp and 700nm or so. Just worried it'll blow up. Surely stage 3 is just better 100 to 200 and beyond ?
@@derekporter66 it depwnds on your goals... My goal was to built a full capable trackday car/daily...keep in mind the ballance..so i went for a FBO stg2+ with an extreme reliably LITTCO l380x turbo...very reliable and now..and i can keep temperatures in "normal" range and add not too much stress on any other component of drivetrain... If you want a street monster...killing amg,m and sportcars...go for stg3..in any other case is just waste of money. I spent a lot to get reliability and constant power..
Car is an absolute beast! Loved the video man, keep up the great work 👊
Thank you chief 👍
Loving your content buddy. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Nicky, much appreciated
Fab video guys..well done !
Cheers Paul 👍
Awesome- smashing it boys!
Cheers Kev!
Great vid Josh but should come with a ‘likely to make you spend money’ warning. I really need to get mine to at least stage one!
Haha! I shall have to get one made up. Honestly even stage 1 transforms the car as Shak says. It's a great move.
Hi.get it done. i have just had my mk7 done by APR in Australia.bloody rapid!,
Stage 2 are the best fun for this car
They are indeed. Best bang for your buck definitely, although stage 3 is an incredible weapon
Stage 2 = less lag & much better as a daily driver
How bizarre - saw my house in the back of the video, and i'm off to see Shak for my golf next week
Haha it is bizarre! You won't regret going to Shak!
0-60?
Do you need a turbo timer to cool the car down or do you drive it normally In the last 10 mins?
Nope, no turbo timer needed just a careful drive to cool everything down
from stage 2, is it really that much of a difference power? also down low is it a noticeable loss in power?
No noticeable loss down low and the car pulls stronger & for longer with stage 3.
Torque? No intercooler ?
Airtec Intercooler, torque is 450 I believe I'll double check 👍
In currently stage 2. 400 ish hp and 420 ft lbs. I just can't decide if stage 3 is worth the 5k plus.

From the stock is38 turbo?
Most likely not, stage 3 normally requires bigger turbo
It's a TTV4 Turbo. Stock turbo is rated to roughly 410/420 as far as I know.
@@JXLPerformance is that a hybrid turbo
What wheels are on this Golf ?
Neuspeed RSE102
@@JXLPerformance would love to own 1. .but the cost a fortune..
Is it BBK friend?! I have an 8pot AP on my R
0-60 times ?
Shak was never too hot on the Dragy times, but cars of this spec in full weight usually get 3.1/3.2 seconds.
Got a Recaro child seat in my stage 2 lol
Haha nice one! A lad I know has 2 now. Great seats.
I have 2 britax roemer currently in my stg2+ Golf 7.5 R
Fully trackday prepared..little girls love it! 🤣🤣
this in irlam
yeah but even shak said theres very few roads where you can use this level of power........so why do it?
Depends what you want from a car, it's effortless if you're into driving and you don't mind travelling for some country roads I can't see why not
