WARNING I thought I would raise this as it's worth noting for the guys/girls watching my videos. As you know in this video I'm running the Vudu Stage 1 tune on my Fiesta ST from AET. Ive known AET for a fair while now and for the most part had very positive experiences of the company. Recently I made a general life decision (nothing to do with TH-cam) This resulted in me being banned from some of the Facebook groups, and no doubt slandered in other ways too. Again, I'm not saying anything is wrong with the products (map was fine, intake is fine etc.) But the way things have been handled is out of order. Just bear that in mind if you're wanting to deal with them.
Think these ST’s are very highly underrated. Even though it might not be as fast as a stock 140 or S3 it makes up for on track with its cornering and with its tuneability. Brilliant video josh.

Similar to you, gone from an M135i to a Fiesta ST, its going in for a Stage 2 next week, so much more fun than the BMW. My first mod was a short shifter, best £32 I have spent on a car. Loved the video.
Normally with a stage 1 they raise the reg limit. This should allow you to hit 60 in second if you go all the way to the limiter. I hit a 5.46 0-60 stage 1
@@josephbelanszky9258 to put it in perspective, most runs I got where 5.9-6.1. I had only a few where the car hooked and got no spin at all, which is when I hit the 5.46
Drop the tyres pressure to around 25-26 psi on the fronts it helped my fwd Cupra 346 hp) Was still still spinning in 2nd but much less than they were at 31 psi. A short shift will take a thousand of a 2nd off too! Dragy becomes addictive...
Shifts at 5,500. That's where I shift. Stock turbo kinda falls off past there. 2000 rpm launches were best at take off, but with the 3.82 final drive ratio I bet better accel times would be had taking off in 2nd gear.
Yep, no doubt with the ST200 gearbox acceleration would be better and you could then warrant a 2nd gear start, it just bogs down a little from stock. Interested to see how the times change now I have an X48R turbo on the car!
Yep, you cant stop smiling in these cars.I went the same route.Revo +1 map,Itg intake.Stuck on sp4,s.Sports rear engine mount,Nkg plugs and cars a wee torque monster. You will find that out when you get sticky tyers.Great video, bringing back those early memory. Enjoying the channel keep it up.
No prob mate be great to see the other mods you stat doing to the car. There is some mad fiesta st's out there at the moment proper naughty little cars
Makes me smile that a stock Integra R will still out drag a stock ST despite no turbo & being over 20yrs old. I wonder how they’d both fare on track together
Possibly, but I don’t think many things will be direct fit (intercooler, exhaust, downpipe etc.) There is a Focus 1.6 EcoBoost in the UK with the same engine (some have vacuum operated actuators) and they are the same, in principle the parts fit and work, but a lot of custom mounting is needed.

Want to take my ST to stage 1 but the process of it confuses me... with the Revo website am I supposed to contact the dealers separately or is it done through the website?
The reason its unverified is because gravity assists acceleration leaving you with less torque to put down, on a negative slope hence better traction , because of reduced inertia.
Now then! Great vid! 2 questions - is this the Stage 1 or 1+ map from Vudu? You’ve probably said multiple times but I can’t remember haha.. other thing, do you know if the 1+ package can be mapped to include pop and bangs?? I have a miltek non red race, but a stock cat.. so unsure?? Don’t want excessive decel.. but some reasonable burbles would be sick!

I have Michelin Pilots on my MK8 ST definitely make a huge difference compared to the Protenza's that come on the MK7. Are you thinking of getting a LSD fitted? that would round off the car👍
@@JXLPerformance what to look out for in his market? I have heard that they have a problem with overheating is it true? and do these engines still make miles? e.g. over 200-250,000 ?? With the best maintenance!

I've owed the Golf R and now the ST. The ST is wayyyy more fun.
The chassis is massively underrated imo.
100% cannot agree with you anymore mate. Golf R is a great daily/fast straight line car, but they're not fun to drive!

Nope, I had the standard clutch from standard up to 350bhp!

Since it’s the same 1.6 ecoboost minus the manual transmission in the US. Would bolt ons work on the escape aswell?

So a stage 1 only gives you what? About 10 to 20 extra bhp can you really feel the difference?

Besides the Numbers difference, I find the feel of the torque / power is enhanced with just a stage one flash tune.

@@JXLPerformance also with some tunes the Rev hang is lessened so shifting from first to second gear is smoother which is a nice improvement.

I got stock everything but a cat back and i get burbles, so i imagine the maps alone will give you that, seems that way from what i've seen anyway

With the Vudu flasher it works out just short of £500 mate

Toyo TR1Rs have a new compound and are recommended. My Stage 2 has responded really well to them to get the power down.
