Great to see see you looking cheerful pal. 😊 Great video as always, and don't be daft being sorry for flowers and churches. It's why we watch you womblings because of the variety.
The flowers etc are the things that make your videos so interesting - that and the stories you tell. Was up your way earlier this week and had a hike on Kinder. The heather around Ringing Roger is in full bloom and looking fabulous. ATB, Roger
Thanks Roger. I'll look forward to seeing you on Kinder. It is nigh on two years since I was last on Kinder. Disgraceful really considering it's not that far away.

I really liked seeing all the flowers Chris, lovely little church too. It was nice to see the butterfly too as they don’t seem to be about as much this year. Lovely looking sunset 😊
Lovely to see the flowers you filmed, also to recognise familiar locations around Ingleborough (particularly Ribblehead viaduct in distance.) I think your route up different to ours, although on a nicer day up on top than us. Glad you enjoyed yourself though. Fantastic shot of moon behind your tent. I do like the trendy bucket hat. p.s. did you recover from that tooth Chris??
Hello Shanita and thank you. Yes, this route was from the other side of Ingleborough than your route. The tooth has gone and I'm still struggling trying to get used to a denture. I'm at the dentist next week to see if they can come up with a better and probably very expensive solution.

Very interesting video Chris, good to see you back in good health/fine fooling. I've been up there probably 40 times or more and never get tired of it.Good to see Toposcope is back in situ, I'm sure it was "gone" a few years ago on one of my sorties. The "awful slog" you referenced was the original Wainwright route,Simon Fell,it affords magnificent views over Morecambe Bay on clear days, much better than the views from normal route, though the down-side is it's not well-used and is very loose-bouldery and therefore quite dangerous to anyone following you. The plant-life wonderful and if you were there in Spring bird-life too... Mate, don’t apologise for churches and plants. You are by far the most interesting TH-camr. Plus, like you I love the dales/Pennines. Your choice of pitch was correct. Always try to see the Howgills and Crossfell😉. I tried Ingleborough the other week but left my butties in the car so turned back from Gaping Gill. How do UP and thanks for the words of encouragement. I watched your Melmerby Fell film. MF has been on my to do list for ages, as the only Pennine 2000 footers I still have to do are all in the North Pennines and MF is one of them. Hi Chris. What a brilliant video. I’m sitting at home, raining outside. Cup of Tea in hand. Watching your show. Total escapism. “Catch it, kill it, eat it “ 😂😂
A top time out there Chris - no pun intended. I'm always impressed with Ingleborough and I think that maybe this is the first time I've seen it totally clear. Besides the flowers there were many reasons to be cheery. Well, a good peaceful morning at least on that side of the mountain. No camera lost to it this time. Good going. Mark
Thank you Mark. Yes, this was certainly last chance saloon for Ingleborough but it came good in the end. I suppose the only downside is that it is a busy mountain but once the crowds had departed it was a splendid place to appraise the local landscape. Hope you are well, best wishes, Chris
Excellent that Chris, and good to see you in good spirits. You were always going to face your old mistress Cross Fell when you were umming and ahing about where to pitch? 😂 And please continue with the flora, fauna and churches. It's part of what sets you apart from the rest. Cheers, Paul
Don't apologise, I love being told about stuff like that. I feel the same about Ingleborough, although the last (and only) time we did it was on the Dales High Way, and the normal route down was closed. Ended up going down summat I can only describe as "dicey".
Always a great day when Chris JB has a video out. Superb video as always Chris. I love the Dales for the reasons you describe, Limestone scenery and the brightness it offers is magnificent. Wonderfull, but also slightly disappointing that you have no tales of woe though.🤣 At least you let us know about dropping your camera in the brook. 🥴Like You, I also find Ingleborough a hell of a slog. I've done it numerous times and more often than not directly following Pen-y-gent and Whernside whilst doing The 3 peaks challenge (Six bloody times !) But worth it on top, if like you were on this video, lucky enough for a view. I'd never considered camping up there, assuming it'd be like camping on the moon but your video has changed my mind. Cheers Chris👍
Thank you Alan. I've said it before but the Dales are my favourite National Park. Yes, very disappointing that I didn't have owt to moan about this time. I'll try harder on the next one 😉. I too wasn't sure about it as a viable camp spot but once most folk had gone I thought it was brill'. Bye for now, Chris
And.,.... Church ceilings and orchids make your films a step above t'other ytbrs. Not to mention your geography and geological insights.. Great stuff chap! 🫡
Hi Chris What a brilliant video, really enjoyed that. I’m in France, but love watching a Lancastrian loving Yorkshire, we need to get you a special pass 😂 Looked liked you really enjoyed it, please do videos of all the other things you like? I’ve done a video over here, won’t be everyone’s bags, but great to see different stuff Brilliant as always Chris Take care TtT 😊
Thank you Tito. It pains me a bit but the Yorkshire Dales is my favourite area.....I think it must be summat to do with my Great Grandfather who was a Yorkshire 'mon' (from Mytholmroyd). Hope you are enjoying France. My Uncle Selwyn used to live in Brittany and I have happy memories of going there. Bye for now, Chris
@@ChrisJB got to be honest, I love the lakes but for wild camping The Dales is my favourite, I like it that you manage you manage to find solitude on the busiest of peaks. France has been fantastic, absolutely loved it. Take care pal, keep em coming 👍
I like the nature stuff in your videos. I spend so much time outdoors but I know so little. Good learn stuff. Cool tent. Is that the TarpTent Li? The dyneema version?
You always make a good walk far more interesting. Do you have a particular book that you can recommend for the Fauna and Flora of the UK Chris ? Everything is Apps these days and i much prefer a book. Thanks again for taking us along with you ATVB
Thanks mate. A single book that covers everything is quite tricky. I mostly have books on specific subjects, birds, flowers, butterflies, etc. I do have one though that is pretty good, check this out: www.nhbs.com/collins-complete-guide-to-british-wildlife-book#:~:text=Collins%20Complete%20Guide%20to%20British%20Wildlife%20A%20Photographic,Complete%20British%20Birds%20and%20Complete%20British%20Animals.%20
i knew this was going to be a cracker as soon as i saw the Heloribine....i guessed right that you would be camping with a view north...isnt it good when everything is Hunky dory.
Hey up! When you said you were taking a risk, I thought you were talking about that hat. In years gone by you'd have been deported to Australia for owning such a thing! Hope you are well... 🙂
Don't apologise for the flowers, butterflies and churches. They make the walk! Especially the orchid. Really enjoy your videos.

Cheers Fraser. Yep, the walk is only a part of the story for me. 👍
Nice one Chris, have subbed.
Cheers pal and thanks for the sub!
Another interesting video, well done Chris ATB Dave
Cheers Dave. Hope you are well mate.
@@ChrisJB I am now, after Covid and root canal fillings but you know all about those.
@overthehillwildcamper Oh bloody hell. Sounds like a carbon copy of my last few months!
Just what the Doctor ordered cheers Chris 😊
Thanks Marty pal. 👍
Nice one.
Thanks!
Hi Chris
What a brilliant video, really enjoyed that.
I’m in France, but love watching a Lancastrian loving Yorkshire, we need to get you a special pass 😂
Looked liked you really enjoyed it, please do videos of all the other things you like? I’ve done a video over here, won’t be everyone’s bags, but great to see different stuff
Brilliant as always Chris
Take care TtT 😊
Hello David and thanks. Yes, the tent is a Tarptent Notch Li (dyneema). I also have an older silnylon version which is still use too.
@@ChrisJB Cheers for that chris, i will check that out 👍
Vielen Dank für deinen tollen Beitrag 👍 wünschen dir einen schönen Donnerstagabend ❤ danke für gegenseitige Unterstützung 🔔 Siggi & Anne👍
Hello Siggi and Anne. Thank you for your continued support. 🙂
i knew this was going to be a cracker as soon as i saw the Heloribine....i guessed right that you would be camping with a view north...isnt it good when everything is Hunky dory.
How do Steve. Cheers mate.....yes, for once, Ingleborough was good to me!
Hey up!
When you said you were taking a risk, I thought you were talking about that hat.
In years gone by you'd have been deported to Australia for owning such a thing!
Hope you are well... 🙂
Thanks Oliver. Speak of Aus', I might put some corks on strings on my lovely hat for the next trip. 😎
What’s the bag you’re using to store your water in, looked quite big?
One of these: www.platy.com/ie/bottles/platy-2.0l-bottle/07601.html
Triffic😊
🎉 first in 39 seconds 😂
Thanks pal. 🙂
Wots ur job mate
Just about to start a new job working in a college....non- teaching role though. I used to be a teacher and hated it!
