In this event, most of them ran about at a 5:00/km pace, which is pretty slow but there are multiple reasons for this. First, the run is only the start of this workout and running slower allows you to go a lot faster later on which is ultimately worth more time. Second, they are running on a trueform runner which feels a little different especially when you're not used to it and may slow down the athletes a little. And third: This was five years ago, when Crossfit wasn't really up to the same level especially with the running as today. If you look at the 2020 _Strength in depth_ competition where they had a 6k run, 80% of the male athletes ran under 24:00, so faster than 4:00/km pace and the fastest 4 guys were all below 22:00, so faster than a 3:40 pace.
For time:
1-mile run
50 overhead squats (135 / 95 lb.)
100 GHD sit-ups
150 double-unders
50 sumo deadlift high pulls (135 / 95 lb.)
100 box jump overs (24 / 18 in.)
Time cap: 26 minutes
Thank you!
That’s crazy
