- Just showing off the spray paint job performed by Kevin Nash on my ultra deluxe WCW big gold, and telling the disappointing story of how it happened.

Really cool! This really is the closest thing I've seen to the original spray job that Hogan did at Hog Wild.
Totally agree with everything you've said about the demolition jobs that Nash always does when spraying belts -- can barely even make out the nWo letters after he's done, and it just looks like the plate was dropped in a can of paint. The guy should have appreciated the fact that thanks to you he can finally say that he did one good paint job in his life.
Nash may indeed be an arsewipe, but damn, this end result is amazing.
It's a nice belt. The original Crumrine, the Flair belt has a slight curve to it but the belt that you have looks good. It's a nice representation of that era in wrestling.

You are CORRECT sir all the belts have lower case “n”’s but when they did it was upper case I wonder why is that and love the belt collection
My theory is that whoever designs the replicas simply looked at the nWo shirt logos, assumed that’s how they did it on the belt, and called it good

Thanks man. Unfortunately I just threw it away after I was done with it, but here’s all I did: I laid a paper grocery sack over the main plate, traced along the edge with a pencil, and cut out the overall shape. Then, using a pic of Hogan holding the original belt as a reference, I drew rough sketches of where the paint was located on the plate (over which letters, over which parts of the grapplers, over which part of the globe, etc. Then I just used a box knife and slowly and meticulously carved out the letters, and taped them to the plate with masking tape, including the center of the O separately. I was a pain, but it was worth the effort.
It's a great looking belt. I hate to hear the circumstances around it but I'm glad it came out looking so good regardless. If I ever get a crumrine from Classic Shields(or preferably ORM because I like the way their Crumrine looks the best), I'm hoping they can accurately spray paint the belt for me before sending it off.

I couldn't stand Hogan's old self, but I liked tha Nwo storyline b4 it ran stale!

The spray paint job on your belt looks good
He wasn't a jerk about it, he just didn't understand why someone would want him to stencil that out. It is pretty odd, to be fair.
I bought a fandu to spray paint, but I had read that someone tried but the paint kinda slipped down into the crevices.

You actually did an amazing job on the stencil. It looks remarkably like the original paint job Hogan did. This is the first belt I’ve seen painted that looked even remotely close. Also, coming from someone who has always been a Kevin Nash fan, I’m not surprised in the least that he was kind of an asshole. LOL He seems like the type of guy you’d not want to catch on a bad day. Anyway, great looking belt!

I could do that, sure :) The only materials you’d need are a paper grocery sack (or something similar), a pencil, a box cutter (or exacto knife or something else really sharp) and some masking tape. I’ll throw together a video. There may be a much easier way to do it, but I’d be happy to share what I did.

Hogan would have also put a lowercase n on this belt if you trusted him to do it, there is a few videos of him doing it with others and staff at the wrestlemania superstore also said Hogan sprayed them himself and they all had the same style the shop sell. Too bad Nash was an asshole to you but at least he didn't massacre your belt
I thought about that. The lower case n would bug me a little bit, but I think I would be happier to be able to say hogan spray-painted it himself.
It was always a lowercase N your 100% wrong and your belt looks dumb . They never used a capital N what show were you watching
