I cashed in a lot of coupons with sales at Kroger again yesterday; this is several; weeks in a row,(twice a week), that made out like a bandit. The beef was very high, so I only got the ground beef on sale. I went to Walmart and only a few things were more expensive. Eggs are up to $17+ for 60 at Kroger, 16+ at Walmart. Glad I stocked up at the Kroger sale last week.
Kroger internet went down during a store full of shoppers. Last time that happened they only accepted cash to check out. There was a little chaos. Always bring cash if you can. Debit cards don't work.
Good advice. I always use cash for groceries (most other things too). I remember a few years ago, there was a pop-up cheap items store that I went to every year after Thanksgiving. I was selling on Ebay back then and they had some GREAT deals on things that sold very quick, They always had very long lines, but worth it for the deals. This one time, I was about #50 in line and they had that same thing happen. In a matter of moments, I was #2 in line.
Yes, stock up on the bottle gravy by Chef's cupboard. It is good stuff. I use it a lot (esp. the chicken) to make the old "blue plate special" of shredded rotisserie chicken, mashed potato's, and toast with the gravy slathered on top. It takes only minutes to prepare, because you have everything cut up and then you just have to microwave it. But I also overbought the canned Campbells gravy's from KROGER, because its been selling for 79 cents that past three weeks.
Yup. It is good...try in on roasted pork or tenderloin. I have tried (and liked) all of the Bermans products...like stir fry or cooking sauces...and especially their steak sauce. (Its $2.10---less than half the price of A1)
Good morning - wanted to mention the dried fruit is a great add in to yogurt or granola. Also that is an excellent price for gulden raisins. The name brand is typically 4.79 a box. Have a good day everyone.
good morning Danno!!!!!! I love Aldi stuffing mix. I am a stuffing mix snob. Their stuffing is actually a little better than stove top. And, the jars of turkey gravy is better than the name brands. If you are single or a household of 2, the smaller jars of gravy is just right. I use it in my Thanksgiving casserole. It is delicious. And Aldi canned cranberry sauce is as good the name brand. You can melt down the canned cranberry sauce and use in other recipes. I like to drizzle my Thanksgiving casserole with melted cranberry sauce.
Squash at $.99/lb is 30 cents more than prior years. I usually buy a case, cook it and freeze it because squash and root vegetables rot quickly in Florida.
I'm not a fan of Heinz Turkey gravy serving it alone 😮 I had a lot I got on sale a year ago but adding it to McCormick Schilling gravy mix it is doable for my family. If I don't make my gravy from drippings, I think the best gravy on it's own is Trader Joes Turkey Flavored Gravy 17.6oz pkg which is ready to pour, heat and serve 😊
We went to Aldi in Rome, GA a few days ago. Didn't get a lot for $40.22. Milk up to $3.03, evaporated milk down to 0.95 or .97, I forget, Gala apples less than $2 for 3lbs, sugar still $2.65 for the 4# bag. The bigger can cat food still 0.57/can. Can't remember everything but did okay. The potatoes were still $3 and change for 10#.I was able to point them out to two guys who were looking at a 5# for about the same and they were checking them out when I walked on. Was feeling bad at that point in the day so I didn't get everything I wanted. Hope this helps someone in our area
For the big lots shoppers. There is a story at yahoo finance, that says 26 stores previously slated as closing are now not closing. Nov. 12 story. The store close to me closed 10 years ago, but this might help dome of you.
I went into Grocery Outlet yesterday. I've only been in there once before, but had just been at Sam's to pick up a grocery order. While some of grocery outlets things were pretty cheap, the majority is the same price as regular grocery stores. Sams has them beat hands down per unit price.
3:05 The fit and active vitality cereal is awesome it's basically the same as special k cereal at a much better price. The vanilla and almond is my favorite
They had the tandil pods 24 in a pack for a little over $5 they finally brought it back to our aldis not sure how long it's going to stay around it's a good detergent I have used it before
Hi Danno! Love Aldi. Here in CA, I will look to see if they have Dukes mayo. In all my years shopping, I have never seen it period, but did just find it at my Food 4 Less for $4.28. I tasted it and it is much tangier than Best Foods. Interesting. Karla in Cali.
**When you go to Wally next time look by the olive garden dressing for great value's version of it called restraunt dressing and try it its like 197. its great**
Good morning!!! I shopped at Kroger on Friday. Not to many eggs this week. It cost me more & more each week & I use digital coupons. Aldi is to far away from me. I bought Vinegar at Kroger too. I use it to clean. Kroger had frozen Turkey on sale. I'm making baby back ribs.
I buy the laundry soap sheets now at Kroger & I have no complaints. They are higher in price then the liquid laundry soap. I was curious to try them....
I have found those 6 mini avocado bags at Aldi are better quality than the single ones. I tried the gravy a couple years ago and thought it was not very flavorful.
10:56 That Willow toilet paper is only 1 PLY, There are 2, 3 and 4 PLY in the UK, I have never seen a 1 PLY, I never go below 3 PLY unless you want your finger to go though, Yikes.
I don't seem to have much luck with aldis Mandis I actually quit buying them and now purchase them at a much higher price somewhere else Mandy's are not good theyeither have no flavor or they are completely dried up they are not worth the price even if they're on sale I refuse to buy them at Aldi's
Sorry about us boomers getting in the way but we usually let anyone, even young folks, go ahead of us when they only have a few items. And we can't afford a buggy full of anything any more.
@@nana3491-w7b I'm for sure not going to apologize for being in line. My cash is just as good as any youngsters😃 debit card. I do tend to offer someone with one or two items to "cut in line" tho.
Thanks! I love the Aldis shops.
I love Aldi's, thanks for helping all of our budgets by keeping us informed... Thanks Danno!🤗👍
You're very welcome
I just love pink lady apples from Aldi..
It's because of you I started buying apples from Aldi.
Thanks for all you do 😊
Thank you Danno ✝️❤
You are so welcome
Mornin' Jess and Danno.
Love you love Aldi's!
Egg prices skyrocketed this past week at Aldi. In central Ohio last week, they were $2.15 dozen. Last night $3.55!
Next time youre at aldi, go check the size of the chocolate eclars in the freezer section. Same price and half the size. I was shocked!!!

How did they handle the digital coupons? Seems like they wouldn't have been able to.
😮
When did that happen??
I’ve had this happen to me at Walmart several times over the last several years. And ALWAYS at Dollar General Southern Indiana.
Dried blueberries are awesome! Using them as snacks, cookies, parfaits with my hoemade yogurt. Sweeter than raisins. Great to bake with.

Good prices at aldi's
Hello from Mississippi everyone❤❤
buy the Bermans stone ground mustard....I was a 1st time buyer and it is great
Yup. It is good...try in on roasted pork or tenderloin. I have tried (and liked) all of the Bermans products...like stir fry or cooking sauces...and especially their steak sauce. (Its $2.10---less than half the price of A1)
I buy Bermans mustard and i love the flavor
We use thier mayonnaise and ketchup.
We had a new larger Aldi open 4 miles from where I live this week. It beats having to drive 20 miles to a grocery store besides Costco now.
Good morning - wanted to mention the dried fruit is a great add in to yogurt or granola. Also that is an excellent price for gulden raisins. The name brand is typically 4.79 a box. Have a good day everyone.
Thanks Dano, I wanted to say how much I like the pleasantness from subscriber comments, and info very informative..

Thanks, Danno. I'm going tomorrow and this has helped me with my list!

The gravy in a jar is good.

Oh, pkg says Gluten free too!

I think it's new

Nov. 12 story.
The store close to me closed 10 years ago, but this might help dome of you.
Aldi has the most efficient German style cashiers in the industry. We have one cashier assisted register and several self checkouts in Florida
😊

Good morning. How was your trip?
My Aldi's prices are ok. Where my siblings live the prices are better give or take.
They had the tandil pods 24 in a pack for a little over $5 they finally brought it back to our aldis not sure how long it's going to stay around it's a good detergent I have used it before

In Los Angeles county, my Ralphs/Kroger sells Duke's Mayo. At times it is also listed in their ads as well 😊
Publix in Florida sells Duke mayonnaise. They occasionally have a BOGO on it. Great deal.@@sharynmuzik2368

I've given up on my Aldi there's only one cashier no self scan and a line of boomers with carts full of can goods Everytime.
Sorry about us boomers getting in the way but we usually let anyone, even young folks, go ahead of us when they only have a few items. And we can't afford a buggy full of anything any more.
Being as you're a youngster, perhaps you should set your alarm to get you up and moving out the door to beat the boomer rush. problem solved.
