- If you're thinking about purchasing a JIG to add to your wire working tools, here's a little tutorial about how to get started, plus lots of inspiration!
If you don't know what a jig is, it's a forming tool for creating wire patterns which is especially good if you wish to duplicate them for earrings and chain links.
It consists of a base board of holes, in which you can position moveable pegs with tops of different diameters. You then wrap wire (0.8mm gauge) around the pegs to create decorative wire designs. I recommend this, if you have difficulty using your pliers to create replica shapes, as well as if you suffer from arthritis in the hands. As jig patterns can look very fancy and intricate and will definitely 'WOW' your friends! - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Hi Linda, love your work. I don't have an A Jig, can you show how to do this pattern using the round nose pliers??
Just posted you a tutorial! Please do check it out! Everything is possible without a jig. You can even make your own jig by hammering nails in a piece of wood to the pattern that you require and then wrap your wire around the nails! 🤩
Hi...just wondering, would Jump Rings be suitable for hammering as well..?
You try it! Of course you can hammer them, but they will distort and mishape, so it takes a lot of practice! 😂
