Von, do you even realize how valuable you are to those of us who have wanted to learn this art. Not only are your tutorials inspiring, they are easy to follow, and full of easy tips and tricks to make the creation process physically easier on the creator and the client as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us so much and offering it free of charge. Your lessons are invaluable.
Hello Yvonne, I just discovered your TH-cam channel this afternoon. I watched you make the green turquoise / wire woven leaf/tree pendant necklace.... the whole video. As a fellow beader/jewelry maker /crafter, I thoroughly enjoyed your “creative process”. Then I watched “ HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN AN OVERSATURATED MARKET”. I was so I encouraged!!! Then I watched the organization video snd was encouraged even more. Keep on being your resourceful snd encouraging self. I’m a retired homemaking teacher ( a subject that is no longer offered in schools...thus 2 generations of women who cannot hem a pair of shorts or prepare a nutritionally balanced meal ...sorry about the soap box) who turned my hobby into a craft show/cottage business and have been “benched” by COVID regulations. I’m trying something different with a friend who has a year-round booth in a church-owned & operated store front that rents space to local artisans. I need new ideas and your channel has stirred my creative juices.
Kathleen, I just read your comment and I remember HomeEc in school and it made me smile! Thanks for teaching all the important sewing and cooking lessons that I agree we all need! Unfortunately, today, kids are not learning “how to do” stuff! It seems that if it’s not on screen, they don’t want it!
For discussion purposes I will disclose that I am a 42 year old woman, so I was in middle school in the early 1990s. In 7th grade everyone was required to take home ec AND shop classes. Cooking, sewing, wood shop and metal shop, one per quarter for the school year. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Anyway, back on topic, Yvonne if you ever see this, I have delighted in all of your videos I've seen so far. I recently came to a place in life that I can start enjoying my hobbies guilt-free.... so i'm super inspired to pull out my jewelry making stuff and get creating again!! Your sense of humor is right up my alley. I am grateful to the Universe (aka youtube algorithm :D ) for sending you my way.
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Leroy Bishop i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi, just wanted to say how fabulous this tutorial has been!!! I’ve been watching lots of videos, trying to learn as much as I can but really you need the basics first and I have learnt sooooo much from this, THANK YOU !!!!
Thanks so much. My mother sent me a link to check you out. She's had a stroke and was looking for something to help her boredom and dexterity. She's had an issue with not seeing as well, I wanted to thank you for the inspiration you have given us. You're a great teacher. My mum crystal loves you. Thanks best wishes.
Very valuable tutorial. My father-in-law had a machinist business, so I am able to use many of his pliers and tools for hobby jewelry work. He had a pair of pliers that I had NO idea what it was for. I was mystified. Then I saw you using yours, near the end of the tutorial. It's called stepped-up flat nose pliers. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us all.
Miss. Yvonne I will say this! On Spirals Jewelry, You have the Best Tutorial for what I have Seen so Much.. Truly Appreciate You For Sharing.. I Love all these Beautiful Styles of Earrings.. So Cute!!
Has anybody told you that you have a very soothing, easy to listen to voice? Well you do! And as an old lady with hearing problems, I also wanted to compliment you on using soft non-intrusive music--often video makers use louder and/or busy music that distracts from the vocal part. And finally--thank you for the beginner tutorials, it's really helps to see the very basic stuff repeated enough times for beginners to really get the hang of it. Cool video!
I am just starting to work with wire & just found your channel! Von you are priceless - excellent teacher & I am excited to look at all of your very beginning tutorials with some confidence that I can do this. Thanx so much for putting your skills out here for all.
I so enjoy watching you do your work which helps beginners. I got hit with the Covid before I could get started and have lost some fine motor skills in my hands, but I am working hard to get out of the hospital so I can begin by watching your videos.
I love the fact that you speak clearly and not too fast. Are there any videos that explain the gauges ? And why some are better? As you can tell, I am a beginner.
I truly appreciate you taking time to explain what you are doing and why your doing it. I am a beginner and need you to go slow so I can try and make a design like you are doing. I'll want to join in on more of your classes. Thanks again and God bless you.
I love your professionalism. I really enjoy your teaching way. You feel like a friend. I've been meaning to write a comment for a very long time. You have showed me so many skills. Thank you deeply for that. I enjoy your vibe. So peaceful and understanding. When you mix things up, I really appreciate it, and I enjoy giggling with you. Realness at it's finest. Much Love.
You have given me hope to try. I have MS and had a stroke. I have been sitting here scared to try to pull out my jewelry stuff. When I saw your video I said I CAN DO THIS!!! And I wll. Thank you so much for your lessons. I did not catch your email or web page. When I keep watching maybe I'll get it. You are one person I don't want to lose.
You are the best!!!! Keep up the wonderful work, great, great teaching and you have such a pleasant and soothing voice! You mentioned you save all your small scraps and pieces,,,,what do you do with them? Just love you!
That’s just what need, just got myself some copper wire and tools. Thanks, it’s so clear and you make it feel like we’re in an actual classroom with you. 💖
Oh my gosh...so THAT’S how you make the shapes stay better...with a hammer?! HOW COOL! For me, understanding something is so helpful, versus “just do this”. Thank you for another great and useful video!
