How lovely that you get to spend a few days in Monterey and walk by the ocean! Those “smalls” are deceiving in how long they actually take to stitch. Mary 395 was actually custom cut at Acorn and Threads. Martha Evans requires a fat half on 40 count. I purchased Juneteenth from Nuri at Shaded Stitchery. She has a web site for purchases. Ooo! Monterey is my favorite place! I grew up there. My parents live off Hwy 68. What a wonderful area to explore & visit and this time of year is the best. Mostly sunny days. Now I want to go home for a visit.

Nice finish, such pretty WIPs, love the fabrics & floss colors. Maybe ask viewers for stitching tips or their Must Have items to set up their stitchy spot. Or survey viewers of when they do most of their stitching - - daytime, nighttime or anytime... Do a small scissor parade, you don't have to remember each manufacturer just show all the pretty types in your collection. If you use needle-minders you can show a grouping of them or floss drops, accessories & bling are so fun to see. Awww, Vince is growing so fast!!! Great pics.

Moonlight Sampler is beautiful!! Also congrats on doing 25ct 1 over 1. Mary 395 looks incredible. I hope you can find some of the floss you need. Chester’s Place is looking good, and if you need help charting his name at the bottom, I’d be glad to. I have graph paper and I’m not afraid to use it.

I love your pictures of Monterey. It is such a beautiful area. My son and his family spend a couple of days in Monterey every November on their way home from spending Thanksgiving in NorCal. It’s his favorite place to stay. I haven’t been there in years but I still appreciate it through pics my son sends me. Your pieces are beautiful. I always enjoy seeing what you are stitching. Can you remind me what it means when you say you put two threads in a piece. I hope i’m saying that right. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sure you'll have no trouble graphing a name. I just finished a sampler for my daughter's godson and spent ages working out where to put "Archie". Finally got it all done, proudly showed my daughter who, after a pregnant pause, said " but Mum, his name is Alfie" . Oh how true the old saying pride comes before a fall!! 😂😂

Last fall I started a Nora Corbett pixie 1X1 on 25 count lugana. I'd spent a very long time saying that I didn't like and wouldn't stitch over 1, but I find that I'm really enjoying the stitch. I'm not sure if it's because my previous over 1 stitch was on a 25 count linen and the weave was a bit looser or I'm just more enthused about this particular stitch, but it's a much different experience.
Aren't the strawberries fun on Summer? I did the alphabet and then started at the bottom; I did the strawberries last week as one of my BRRINGO calls. I didn't want to put the piece down, either.
Blackbird just reprinted my unicorn chart - Winter Wonderland. It's on its way to me now, and I'm pretty sure I'll be starting it as soon as it arrives. Blackbird pieces are comfort stitching to me; the colors are so lovely and the charts are easy to follow.
