- How do you fish a Texas rig for bass? In this video, I show you how I fish it. The Texas rig is a wonderful rig the bass can't pass up. Put a stick bait, swimbait, or creature bait on there depending on what you think the fish will want that day and get ready for the bass to attack. I can't recommend fishing a Texas rig enough, and this video will demonstrate why.

Good video, also, that's a great tip about watching the line move side to side. I never thought of that. I'm new to bass fishing. I usually serve fish where we throw chunks and dead stick. Our rods with circle hooks so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Do you set the hook on the very first littlest sensation Tap on your rod.??
The reason I ask we use circle hooks in the fish, basically hooks itself. Also, last question, what plastic worm would you say is the best for small pond mass fishing

I’ll wait a beat, maybe two. Set the hook on the 2nd or 3rd tap. Especially fishing around rocky structure. Sometimes bumping stuff can feel like a bite. Also, you’ll need to set the hook with those worm hooks unlike circle hooks that set themselves.
From my perspective, the most popular worm bait is a Yamamoto Senko. They are amazing although a bit pricey. I most often use 4 to 6 inch YUM dingers. Caught a lot of fish with them and they’re half to quarter the price of the Senkos.

You throwing the watermelon red in the stained/muddy water?
I like throwing more natural presentations in the lakes and ponds in my area. A lot of them have similarly stained water and get pressured quite a bit.
What size weight did you use? I always debate how heavy I should/shouldn't go
I believe I was using 3/16oz. I typically stay in the 1/16 to 1/4 range with most of my rigs.
