This has come at a perfect time 4 me,thanks so much,I've just been gifted 6 old tea chests full of fabrics and old linens ,so looking for loads of recycle ideas, I've been doing some weaving with the not so great coloured pieces and not so great patterns lol but I'm on a mission to use up all this awsome fabric.
Use an old pillowcase!!! Half sewed! Well explained. Soap is great for marking - no stains!! I clip the point of the plastic studs off after putting through the fabric!!!

This is a wonderful idea. What I like most about it is that the weight of the sewing machine keeps the thread catcher/caddy from falling off the table. Plus, it wouldn't take much effort to make a sewing machine dust cover to match the mat and thread catcher/caddy.

Thank you for this tutorial Christine. I am looking for ways to make things easier on my hands and back as I have arthritis in both areas. My machine is too heavy for me to lift at the moment so this is perfect for my needs. It also saves me trying to lean over to toss things in the bin as I sew and the floor cleanup after sewing. Thank you!!!
Really like your ideas! I love using snaps, your so creative. Also, You should consider a short meditation video of your plants with the sprinklers on. If I looked out at that, I might not get any sewing done. 😂😂 it was so relaxing, thanks for sharing it with us!

I have made some of the zipper pouches out of the one-piece of material. Tried all of the styles and even changed the dimensions. Let me apologize in advance for not watching all of the ads. Some of them are just false and I refuse to watch them. Will watch what I can. Am selling at a local Farmers Market right now and when I get some health problems straightened out I may expand to other platforms. Thanks for the inspiration.

I really like this. I have been given a pile of batting but it isn't fusible. What would be the best way to use that instead. Will it be enough just to sew it in with the outsides? Another one for the to do list 😂
Thanks Sarah. You could try using basting spray to adhere the batting to the fabric, or you can quilt it. Unless you stitch the batting into the seam, it is likely to drop after time😀
Good idea! I might use velcro on mine instead of the snaps as that's what I have on hand.

Was it yellow Anna? It's possible it was my Teflon foot for vinyl. I often just leave it on😃
