The official reco reco from Rio. If you already had the oportunity to see a Pagode round live in Rio, you probably remember the sound of the reco reco - dry, sharp, dirty and penetrating. A bit like a not-so-loud caixa - this is exactly what the small instrument by Artcelsior sounds like. It is quite common to put some tape on one or even on both sides of the reco reco to muffle the sound according to your gusto and to make it sound even drier and create as little sustain as possible.
