    That last riff is so insane, you make one mistake and it's gone. They'll need a few more shows to pull it off :D

    The fact that they are able to hit harmonics on nylon live with all the vibrations in the room has me dumbstruck

    Good think Tim and Scott play almost the exact same parts. Where one loses a spot, the other fills the missing sound. It’s a beautiful synergy.

    Scottie definitely CARRIED the performance, especially during the end where he kept the song going despite Tim stopping /changing the melody(which i completely understand, this song might be their hardest one yet)

    Well looks like Tim playing was a little hurry and out of tempo a little bit. Well I know because that riff is really hard to play Lol

    I think a lot of people understand how hard this song is to play, but I'm sure a lot of people don't fully understand how hard this is to play live on a stage in front of a large and loud crowd with lights going crazy and smoke machines going off...Playing something this technical and syncopated in this kind of environment is insanely difficult. Mad props to them for even how good this one performance is.

      I think they just write music that's too hard to play live and too hard get right on one try. This seems to happen a lot.

      @@275dpr no, i think that polyphia actually able to pull perfect run if : they sit down, silence crowd, and a live perfect mix.
      especially the mix and live audio need to be as perfect as possible.

    • @275dpr
      @275dpr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexamderhamiltom5238 maybe, but the fact that they would require such specific conditions to get it right in one take says enough. Even if they could, it likely wouldn't be consistent.

      @@275dpr orchestra, that what they really are.
      everytime i go to orchestra i always think "how the fuck they sound so right". yes they need ridiculous amount of requirement but they still able to pull it of every single time.
      i believe polyphia able to play it perfectly if they conditioning themself like an orchestra, yeah but that ain't fun.

      Either scott took over or tim lost his spot and improvised. when you mess up on a song as difficult as that, it can be really hard to recover. Takes balls to play it in that setting lol

    i see no reason to see a band like them live, they make songs that are possible to record with 100000 takes , when they attempt to play live result is heavily imperfect shows like this, imperfection is totally fine in music , but not for music like this. if john frusciante makes a mistake live he can save it easily with his typical tricks and you wont even notice, if these guys make mistakes whole song is ruined. that's why in my opinion these 1 million takes to record a song , let's impress other guitarists type of bands will not survive much longer

    • @275dpr

      I enjoy their music, but I didn't go to this show for this reason. They write cool and complicated music but not even they can perform it well without a studio. Every live recording I've seen has so many mistakes.
