Great video!!! I was in the AirForce and I put fuel on T-38s all the time and watched guys like you!! I miss those flight line days. I was at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta GA.
Loved hearing you talk about check flights. The 12 O'Clock high series had several episodes featuring check flights, I remember one where the trainee fails because they did not take the proper action in time, and one where he checks out even though he crashed, because in the face of serious mechanical issues, he crashed well, minimally damaging the plane, with no loss of life.
I love this review thank you, I’ve saved enough for a top-tier OTF but didn’t really want a Microtech and can’t afford an OTF Benchmade.. Semper Fidelis
LTA-579 - that lovely aeroplane; was that like the ones that managed to hit Japan from places like Guam and Saipan in the Mariana Islands etc. during the Pacific War?? What an iconic bird! Like that knife thing as well....
Curious about your thoughts on Cobratech knives, made here in Texas. Pretty inexpensive, I recently got one as a gift for my first OTF. Seems decent to me for the price, but I don't know what to look for. Definitely has me more interested in getting more OTF knives. Love the TNP KRVs, keep em coming!
@@codybill24 I have one...at one point I had two. The action is pretty good. Compared to a Microtech's aluminum chassis, the zinc alloy of the Cobratec is quite heavy. Mine says the steel is D2, but it's anyone's guess. They aren't bad for the price.

Is there any way to put a secondary manual hydraulic pump to actuate that wheel down? Yup, don’t know why us produced knives “require” a higher price tag. Let’s be real, American made products are far from the highest quality. Not in all categories, but in most.
Often times US-made is going to mean it is more expensive simply due to much higher labor costs in this country vs. China/far east imports. If buying US is important then you just have to pay more. Doesn't really have anything to do with an "excuse for overpriced" but you are right if the high price is just old fashioned gouging...which also happens.
$250? Lol I carry $4 ozark trail knives from Walmart. Beat em up, lose them, give them away. Who cares they are $4. Last year they were trying to get rid of a bunch of old stock and I bought 75 for $1 each.

Microtech UTX 70. And they have another otf that’s a money clip which is even smaller.
Exocet. That one is very wide doe
Didn't know the Exocet was a wide female deer?
The size competitor is the Microtech UTX-70 or 80.

Love seeing gunpla on the table! My personal favorite that I own is Char's Zaku II.
I like the pfp
Looks really nice, a Microtech UTX-70 looks very comparable to this knife.

Love the airplane sound fx at the end, funny.
I can't own a otf knife, but I'll still watch the videos, very entertaining.
I would love a 3-inch version of this knife with 2 less holes on the blade and just slightly wider..
My buddy and I spent two days digging the rear ejection seat from a T-6 out of the Mississippi clay.

This looks like a copy of the Microtech UTX70. 2.4" blade, with a glass breaker and $220. What can I say?
No competitive options?? Dude, the Microtech UTX-70 is even smaller.
I believe It's also lighter, isn't it?
I haven’t weighed it, but it could be. Surely not much difference.
