Hi, I really enjoy your videos!!! I have one question. Can any of these chinese mppt's run an Istabreeze i700 (24V) on a 12 V battery ? I would be very thankfull if you would answer this question!! Regards Peter
yes only if you have a midnite classic 150 controller you can run 24v turbine in 12v battery mode.because its a true mppt c c.the chinese c c are volt specific cause there there not a true mppt they are voltage specific and will not work
@@offgridgarage Thank you very much for your answer. It is really appreciated!! I had hoped for another answer because the midnite classic is very expensive. But I am also happy that I haven't wasted my money on a nonworking mppt. (I have not bought the turbine yet!) I like the idea of having a 24V turbine on a12 V battery to improve the low wind capabilities. But maybe I will have to accept running 12v/12v to keep the cost of the project down...
yes it wont allow the bigger turbines to spin up it brakes and is falsely labelled its only good with small turbines under 800 watts.u need another controller
Hi . Nice MPPT for wind turbine..! :) Do you have an anemometer?

Hey do you think this would work with a small hydro turbine that is putting out may be 200 to 300 watts consistently?
i cant say for sure but i would say yes it would work ratter well for micro hydro i cant see why not.
I have required wind turbine controller for 2kw, so which one is batter?
In my testing these wont work on larger turbines.you will need a midnite classic charge controller for wind turbines
I used this blue controller with my i2000 and it doesn't rotate at alll
24v or 48v
48v

@@offgridgarage which controller u recommend?
@@maherelh8381 the one and only midnite classic 250 its expensive but will yield the max performance of any turbine
