I bought one a few years ago. I used to hoist up my deer in the garage. Also used it in the yard to pull some logs around. I like it a lot.

Had the same complaint with mine. Up seemed down and visa versa. Easy fix! Let the cable out ALL the way and hold the same button. The drum will keep turning and pull the cable in.It will wrap it the other direction

I wish I'd had a camera to show you what these things are truly capable of. I dragged my 33ft steel hull yacht weighing 4.5 tons on a 1.5 ton boatyard trailer I'd made using two front axles off a 7.5 ton Bedford lorry (we call them lorries not trucks in the UK) into a farmyard then did a 5 point turn in the yard to get turned round ready to winch onto a low loader. With a purchase tackle you could shift a heck of a lot more.

Good stuff. I'm thinking this is the ticket for getting the flip-up clam ice shack up into my rig w/ the smitty sled attached and everyday gear left in it. Been wondering how to mount the Champion winch I have. That ball hitch set-up on the Reese solves that problem hands down. It'll get those big IA cornfed whitetails strapped to the wheeled cart up in there as well. In addition to the ball, thinking a wheel or roller guide mounted far enough back on the tail-gate would keep the cable from marring things up. Thanks for the vid. Happy mowing!

Good video. Acquired one of these (Model 7033600) back in 2008--traded a 100' extension cord for it. Handy dandy little winch. Saved me several times by pulling (kids' broke down) cars onto car hauler. Apparently you are not SUPPOSED to use the handle to "assist" the motor, but I've done exactly that several times. Unsure what the rolling stock load limit is, but I guess it depends on how easily the thing rolls, and the angle of attack. I can't get mine to pay out free spool anymore (maybe I forgot how or maybe something inside is amiss), but pays out with the remote so no problem. For those expecting to get a $500 winch for $75, you will be disappointed. This is not for pulling a stuck truck out of the mud, but should pull out an ATV.

This is the way to do it. Simple, safe and cheap. It's a winner!

I had this winch for 2.5 years before it finally gave out. For the price and as much as I used it. It was well worth the money

I left mine in the bed because I use it so much. It is still going strong without a problem

Planning to get one. Do you think it can pull a cruiser up a ramp to pick up? Thanks

Hey. Im looking at building a set of attic stairs that will retract to the ceiling. I have 2 questions. First is can you make it go any faster? Second, is there any mounting surface I could lag it into a 2x6 or is it just the ball mount?

Thinking about getting one to throw in the toolbox of my S10 or when I get stuck in wet grass think it'll handle it?

If your getting stuck in "wet grass" I'd suggest some new tires first lol.

Hey man, question for you. Based off the remote buttons I'm assuming it does but does it release slowly too? I'm going to be bringing my toolbox home and I need to be able to slowly get it out of the truck. I can't just have it free spool. Thanks.

I trust you opened the hydraulic valve and weren't pulling that mower with it rear wheels locked up. Don't think that would do the hydraulics a lot of good.

A trailer would be like $400 minimum. This is like $70. I’ll take the winch over a trailer at this point
