I was afraid that my rear main seal was going out but after watching your video it made me feel a little bit better that it may just be my oil pan gasket giving me trouble. Thank you for the informative video!
I just replaced mine this past weekend along with the front timing cover gasket due to a coolant leak. Only issue was the radiator drain cock snapped off so I had to replace the radiator too. Don’t let the job scare you pretty straight forward
I think the JK’s with the 3.6 are the ones having rear main seal failures. Had mine replaced after 35k. The seal itself is very flexible like a windshield wiper blade, Jeep needs to come out with a better one.

I had the same thought. It was a easy fix with the snap tab things.
Thank you for showing me how! And listing the necessities!
Any time!

Ugg that is a problem, I out a new radiator in the red Jeep a few years ago. Got a small stick poked into it in Ocala.
Great video! About to tackle this job soon as well. Did it fix your leak?
Yes it did. On the 2007 and the 2010. The little snap bolts make the job real easy.

I agree - considering where we drive it should be a better seal. I just don't want to pull the transmission. So far so good.
