BTW, there’s no “they” in Dan’s videos - it’s all just him. He lights, directs, records, and edits them himself. He also usually mixes them too, and until recently did his own mastering. And all done in his garage studio in Brazil. Dan’s a musical wizard and great singer, with the most beautiful, versatile, and powerful voice I’ve heard in decades. Just one more note - not everything he does is metal or metalized. He has extensive training in both classical and metal techniques, so he can and does sing a variety of styles and genres, and sings them absolutely straight if that’s how they should be sung. In my opinion, Dan is by far the most versatile singer on TH-cam and beyond. Dan is never predictable, you never know how he will sing a song. He is always full of surprises. I have heard many renditions of this song in my 65 years on this earth. I have been a Christian for many of those years. But hearing Dan sing this song does something to my spirit, it’s like a renewal of my faith. How anyone can listen to the words, hear and feel the passion and not want to run to the altar and have some of what Dan has and sings about is beyond my comprehension. Brings goosebumps to my skin, tears to my eyes, and a leap of faith to my soul every time I listen to him sing it. Amazing Grace introduced me to Dan Vasc and O Holy Night reintroduced me to him, at which time I subscribed to his channel and really started going down the rabbit hole. Just like you & many others, I was so touched after hearing his Amazing Grace that I had tears. It's my favorite version of that hymn. If you haven't heard Dan's Hallelujah Chorus (One Man Choir), his Nessun Dorma, Phantom of the Opera covers (especially Music of the Night), etc, you owe it to yourself to experience them. Others have said 20-21 seconds, but they haven't realized that he STARTED that breath with the the last time the words, "...I see" are sung. I've timed it several times, with a timer, starting exactly where he takes a quick breath, right through to the very end of the calm, cool, collected, and effective statement offered by that, "Aha!"

New sub because your emotions came though so beatifully. Some reactors hold that back. A.G. was my first Dan song too. His musical performances are so moving and powerful that iit inspires strength. One reactor said he now wanted to go out and build a new barn. For me, I think listening to his power music is adding 10 years to my life. I was feeling, at 76, my life was pretty much done Now, I have more energy and a new view of my life. I can't get enough of " Dawn of Victory"!! But almost all of his music is inspirational to me. Funny... If I had Dan's vocal talent back in 1980 and sang Amazing Grace and Oh Holy Night as he did at my church, I truly believe that all the women in the congregation would have fainted and all the men would try to assasinate me! Burned at the stake so-to-speak... Yet, who can deny the true power and intensity of singing these great songs the way they SHOULD be sung, instead of the poor, boring, depressing originals. Kudos to Dan Vasq for stepping it up! And I certainly believe that our Father above doesn't want the poor, boring renditions. He created us with talent and I can be sure He wants to hear true, powerful praise! He is not an invalid flower on His throne, He is about creativity as He-Himself created this world. Don doesn't always do all of the arranging, mixing, and/or mastering, though many times he does. Sometimes Gabriel steps in for arrangements, for one thing. Other times, that depends on the other collaborators. Also, he didn't used to do his own mastering (which comes after the mixing), but these days, I've noticed that he has done more and more of it, though still not always.

I agree...best rendition I've ever heard, as well. I also agree about that 23 seconds. Others have said 20-21 seconds, but they haven't realized that he STARTED that breath with the the last time the words, "...I see" are sung. I've timed it several times, with a timer, starting exactly where he takes a quick breath, right through to the very end of the calm, cool, collected, and effective statement offered by that, "Aha!"

THIS IS HOW THIS BEAUTIFUL HYMN WAS ALWAY MEANT TO BE FELT. GODSAMAZING GRACE is uplifting, empowering and triumphant! As Christians we are victorious through that amazing grace!!! It was never meant to be a somber mournful cry, but a bold proclamation. Dan takes us on a journey from the humbling realization that we are wretched and need grace through growing and realizing just how GOD has always been there to the victorious certainty of our blessed assurance.

The harmonica was a gift from his dad. In 2017 he lost his dad to cancer. 9 days later he did AMERICAN TRILOGY in honor of his dad who was a big Elvis fan. Even through tears an amazing performance.

New sub because your emotions came though so beatifully. Some reactors hold that back. A.G. was my first Dan song too. His musical performances are so moving and powerful that iit inspires strength. One reactor said he now wanted to go out and build a new barn. For me, I think listening to his power music is adding 10 years to my life. I was feeling, at 76, my life was pretty much done
Now, I have more energy and a new view of my life. I can't get enough of " Dawn of Victory"!! But almost all of his music is inspirational to me. His power stance, grabbing that mike ..all are motivational to me. Maybe I'm not alone?

Dan filmed this by himself with just one camera which he moved around to get all the angles, filmed in his garage with black curtains and 2 stationary flood lights. He does all his own arrangements & mixing.❤🎉

Funny... If I had Dan's vocal talent back in 1980 and sang Amazing Grace and Oh Holy Night as he did at my church, I truly believe that all the women in the congregation would have fainted and all the men would try to assasinate me! Burned at the stake so-to-speak...
Yet, who can deny the true power and intensity of singing these great songs the way they SHOULD be sung, instead of the poor, boring, depressing originals.
Kudos to Dan Vasq for stepping it up! And I certainly believe that our Father above doesn't want the poor, boring renditions. He created us with talent and I can be sure He wants to hear true, powerful praise! He is not an invalid flower on His throne, He is about creativity as He-Himself created this world. He is King, so why not express our true praise for Him with POWER?
He will be coming back, not with a violin, harpstring and a bag of pot, but with great power, glory, and a Sword which Dan's music emulates. Much appreciated!

Don doesn't always do all of the arranging, mixing, and/or mastering, though many times he does. Sometimes Gabriel steps in for arrangements, for one thing. Other times, that depends on the other collaborators. Also, he didn't used to do his own mastering (which comes after the mixing), but these days, I've noticed that he has done more and more of it, though still not always.
Think God he never got mixed up with the music industry here. I think he was only 21 when he started singing.
Closeups on Dan? Glorious voice, great technique, AND eye candy? Oh yeah!
