Dan doesn't just sing a song he emotes the song. He took what is a ham and turned it into an Anthem. I'm much prefer the harmonica over bagpipes even bagpipes that are played well. Ask someone said the harmonica is very special to him because his dad gave it to him. His dad passed away in 2017 and this was his favorite hymn. Dan's goal was to reach 1 million subscribers. He did that about 3 weeks ago. At the end of a lot of his videos he says he only does songs that "give you power". He is an extremely humble person he is intelligent he is funny he has one of the best philosophies of living life that I've ever heard . I agree 10000%. Dan is truly someone special. And every single cover that I have heard him do IS better than the original. And whoever said he gets the credit for other people’s songs, think about that statement….Why do you think he gets credit for them?? I have heard so many versions of this song, but Dans rendition is by far the best. Dan’s version has over 12 million views. Dan’s father gave him the harmonica when he was a child. I believe he is using the harmonica in place of the bagpipes which are normally associated with this song. This is absolutely my favorite version of Amazing Grace, hands down. As a believer, the part considered metal, is sung with conviction and passion. O Holy Night is the same. Both songs are like going to church and uplifting. I will always be grateful to Dan for doing both songs
I agree! I caught Dan’s version of O Holy Night when it came out and couldn’t stop listening- then I went to church Christmas Eve and they did the song- the whole time I’m thinking- “No! We need to be belting this out at the top of our lungs!” Dan’s interpretation is so much more glorious!
Actually that is not correct. I've been seeing this ... perhaps well intentioned ... but fallacious remark popping up all over. Dan's videos most certainly are copyrighted. He allows fans to use them, with his blessing, but, that does not mean that he does not have, or, care about his copyrights. There are two lyric videos - A Tale With No End and Behold My Land. He threw himself into YT to build an audience for his music. He released an album in 2019 - Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom. I believe he has another album written, but not recorded. I agree with all of the recommendations so far. You can't go wrong with Dan. #danvasc

Dan playing the harmonica he received from his dad; while playing his father's favorite hymn. BTW, Dan can play guitar and keyboard, but he feels he doesn't do it well enough to perform professionally. He's hiring real pros to do that and in doing so ,sharing the rewards with them. His expertise is creating, composing, producing, and SINGING!

Check out his cover of "Phantom of the Opera". You'd love it!! You should check out a group called Steelheart. Their lead singer has an amazing voice!!! People say he's screaming, but he's not. His voice is just that good. The band is amazing too. The drummer & guitarists are great. Start with "I'll Never Let You Go" then check out the acoustic version of "She's Gone". You won't be disappointed!!!
And go back to beginning of his channel and see his band Fearless doing metal festivals in Brazil..they are poor quality cell phone videos but when they do their song War of Ages you can hear his extended vocals..they were very young..around 20

Just have to slip this in there because I’d love to see you guys react to it: if you watch Rammstein’s live performance of Los at their Völkerball show, their singer Till Lindemann pulls out a harmonica in two parts of the song.
I don't know what that one guy was complaining about doing covers, other people's music. Elvis never wrote a song in his life. Frank Sinatra, Pavarotti, never wrote a line they sang. Yes, they buy the song outright from the writer so anyone else singing it has to buy permission from them. Even Willie Nelson sang some covers even though he was the most famous song writer in Country music and wrote many, many of the famous songs sung by other singers. So Mr. Vasc doesn't write songs, he sings them. Almost all famous singers do that.

Great reaction to another phenomenal performance from Dan. Whoever made the negative comment about Dan obviously hasn't checked out Dan's band Fearless and their album (available on Dan's website) of ALL original music. Album name "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom." He's also working on original material with his friend Eric July.

Dan playing the harmonica he received from his dad; while playing his father's favorite hymn. BTW, Dan can play guitar and keyboard, but he feels he doesn't do it well enough to perform professionally. He's hiring real pros to do that and in doing so ,sharing the rewards with them. His expertise is creating, composing, producing, and SINGING!

Check out his cover of "Phantom of the Opera". You'd love it!! You should check out a group called Steelheart. Their lead singer has an amazing voice!!! People say he's screaming, but he's not. His voice is just that good. The band is amazing too. The drummer & guitarists are great. Start with "I'll Never Let You Go" then check out the acoustic version of "She's Gone". You won't be disappointed!!!
And go back to beginning of his channel and see his band Fearless doing metal festivals in Brazil..they are poor quality cell phone videos but when they do their song War of Ages you can hear his extended vocals..they were very young..around 20

I think you would love Dan’s cover of Pricilla’s Song (Metal Version) from the Witcher series.. It has an AMAZING BEGINNING and if you play thru till the end, Dan’s adds a message to his audience!!
Just have to slip this in there because I’d love to see you guys react to it: if you watch Rammstein’s live performance of Los at their Völkerball show, their singer Till Lindemann pulls out a harmonica in two parts of the song.

I don't know what that one guy was complaining about doing covers, other people's music. Elvis never wrote a song in his life. Frank Sinatra, Pavarotti, never wrote a line they sang. Yes, they buy the song outright from the writer so anyone else singing it has to buy permission from them. Even Willie Nelson sang some covers even though he was the most famous song writer in Country music and wrote many, many of the famous songs sung by other singers. So Mr. Vasc doesn't write songs, he sings them. Almost all famous singers do that.
