this was a bit of a surprise update.. I wanted to share my perspectives and experiences that led me to this decision. would love to know if you can relate to any of it ♡
At 16, McDonald's was my first job, too. Fast-forward, I'm 38 now and in the healthcare field with aspirations of becoming a doctor. Like you, I'm a bit conflicted but unsure if I really want to pursue this goal I've set for myself. My whole mindset now is about seeking a better quality of life and I've been feeling this way for some time now. Wow, I came across Timothy Ward's page a few months ago. He's very insightful and listening to him further solidified how I've been feeling and it just hits home. Living to work and doing for self and my peace of mind. Thank you for this and your content.
@@julienalexander6113 thank you for sharing 🫶 completely relate with seeking a better quality of life, it’s easy to lose sight of that as you work towards other goals. and I totally agree that Timothy’s content always offers so many insights. best of luck to you! ❤️
At 27, after working for 6 years and doing really well in the field I decided to quit when I realised that I had attached my self worth with my job. Kudos to you girl, I know it takes a lot of courage to do that!
This video resonates. I’m 29 & I have a few creative side projects going. I’m in the process of creating a plan to quit my 9-5. Life is too short to live unhappy. Thank you for sharing your journey ☺️
I can definitely relate to this. I feel very burnt out & anxious working in the corporate world. Would love to be able to quit one day and do something I love
All the best in the next chapter of your life! I think I'm a few years older than you, but I admire so much that our generation knows when to take a breather for ourselves, and are finding more meaningful ways to live our lives than just working a prestigious job and being recognized for it. A job is a means to our livelihood, but it's not always what makes us feel alive. Who we are outside of work, our passions, interests, and what brings us joy should be just as important. Good for you, Celine! Take care 💕
This resonates a lot with me, I recently quit an 11 year job that was super demanding working everyday and weekends while barely making space for other things in my life. Thanks for sharing your story 🙏
HI CELINE!!! I DIDNT QUIT MY JOB BUT I AM HAPPIER NOW BECAUSE I AM ONLY WORKING PART TIME!!! I FOUND SOMETHING ELSE I LOVE DOING ON THE SIDE!!! NOW I HAVE MORE FREEDOM TO MYSELF!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!🙏🏽❤️
Celine, thank you for sharing and your experience resonates with me. My parents came to Canada for a better life when they fled Vietnam. I was taught to express gratitude for the little things such as being able to have nutritious food readily available, a roof over my head, and an opportunity to make a living. I brainwashed myself because of these fundamentals. "There are other people out there who are going through worse" is what I would tell myself so I continued to work to move up the corporate ladder. I left corporate in June due to burnout (e.g. waking up in the middle night, cold sweats, brain fog, etc.) There is more to life than work, and money although money does make it easier. I believe a degree of pain or suffering allows us to appreciate what we have and be decisive when faced with adversity.
thank you for sharing 💜 I completely agree, there is more to life than work. glad you made the right decision for yourself and wishing you the best of luck on your next steps
I can relate so much to this video since I too have worked since I was 16 and I’m 23 now and recently quit my job to focus on my mental and physical wellbeing. I started a TH-cam channel to document my journey both the good parts of it and the bad parts of it. I wouldn’t change a thing about my decision because these companies don’t really care about us and if we wear ourselves out working for them then they will just replace us once we’re gone but life is too short to allow a job to beat us down. If you don’t look out for yourself in this world then no one else will so you have to make decisions that are the best for you
I really resonated with this video and your story. I attached my worth to my corporate job so much because that’s what we’ve been taught all our lives in school. It’s also hard when everyone around me keeps pushing that message. Low & behold I got laid off from that job - my first job out of college. It definitely sucks, but if there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that these companies will not be loyal to you even when you’re loyal to them. Love this video, and keep going 🫶
Congrats on prioritizing yourself. I did the same back in July after 20+ years in the corporate world (and more if I count working during my college and university years - fun fact I also worked at McDs when I was 16). It was a very scary decision to make, to leave a job without anything else in front of me, but I feel so light now. I didn't realized how close I was to burning out. Now, I have time for my family, to be really there and, looking forward I want to make sure I don't lose that.
congrats to you as well, it's certainly not an easy decision but I completely agree with feeling 'light' now. happy for you to be able to spend more time with family, that time is invaluable 💜
I’m happy you were able to quit your job to start to live your dream life! I’ve been working since I was 14/15 and I’m 33 now I just can’t imagine working for the next 32 years :/
this is such an interesting video to watch… as a 16 year old high school student, it’s good to know what my future could look like because I see my career path going in the direction of business, similar to yours. I also love the part where you talked about “work to live vs live to work” because I thought I worked to live, but reflecting on my summer I definitely lived to work. I’m not going to talk much about it because that job really was a horrible experience, my coworkers were jerks and I was always the one doing my job, my coworkers’ jobs, and tasks for people I don’t even work with. some of my days were consumed with negativity and bathroom cries and at my age, I really don’t see why that is necessary. I also love how open you are about your situation because for someone my age, this is so enlightening. I’m still at the stage in my life where I really don’t know exactly who I am, what I want to do, where I want to live, etc. part of me watching this is a little concerned because life really has changed since Covid, and for many like me, it completely flipped upside down; but the other part of me is intrigued because both of my parents were in the same situation as you. I wish I could understand what you are talking about in terms of your work experiences because I will admit, I am ignorant and I’m scared for what people will do to me when I grow up. I remember during covid, my mom especially would work all hours of the night remotely all for her to get laid off in the end. I can’t wait to see what you do next Celine (I think I might have an idea as to what you’ll do), and I’m excited for this new chapter for you, I know that everything will work out for you🫶🏼
❤️🥹 I can completely relate with what you’re feeling, especially around your age (maybe when I was a bit older actually) there was so much uncertainty about what to do next, what I want to do, etc. but everyone’s experience will be different! I wish you the best in exploring what you’re interested in (even business!), sometimes you wont know unless you try something and learn from it for yourself
I respect that you took the leap of faith and quit without a new job in place. I have used this approach many many times and I honestly feel that it allows you to really think and process what you want next in life. Good video!
Damn I can really connect with you! I recently quit my job for this same reason and I live downtown Toronto … I’m taking my time to figure it out!! Doing what is best for you !!!!
Thank you for sharing! I haven’t gone corporate since graduating from college, but the min. wag jobs I’ve been moving around from 17-21, every company do not have your best interest in mind. Growing up with my Asian parents mindset that if I work hard enough, someone will notice and I can climb. Putting my hard earned work in the hands of my employers. I never climbed for years, if anything they put me up for more work outside of what I signed up for. The unlearning I had to do… Your future is looking bright for you! We are here to support you and your journey ❤
the asian parenting mindset definitely leaves a lasting impression on how we approach work/careers, I'm glad to hear you've allowed yourself to relearn 🫶 thank you so much for the support ❤️
Relatable, thank you for sharing your journey! This is my scenario now being out of the corporate world -- working on myself. Look forward to seeing more content!
Love how you shared on this topic. I have so much to say about it on different levels!! First, I went through the same realization couple years ago: success is different for every person. And being in a big company, with a big job and lot of responsabilities is not for everybody. We are so influenced by what we are told growing up/in school and I truly think our 20's help us figuring out where we stand. I thought having a big job was the dream, I worked very hard in my 20's than realized I could have something different that the traditional path and it will be totally fine if I was happy. Few things helped me: being layoff twice in Toronto, being in a relationship because I realized if I was not only working I could have fun with my favourite person, my social platforms, having my blog, Instagram, TH-cam, made me realized how much I love doing it and that I love the feeling about doing something on my own. Second thing, and I kind of want to make a video about it now: the different work culture between France and Canada (if you are reading this comment and you are not Celine, I'm French, living in Toronto since 2014). I have come to realize that North American culture really make you believe that your worth as a person is only linked to your job. If you ask a Canadian whats up, they are gonna mention work in the first few words, when French people will probably talk about their weekend or sports. I talked a lot about this topic around me and a lot of my Canadian friends realize in their 30's that they dont know who they are outside of work, that work defines them and they will most likely introduce themselves saying they are XX working at XX. You are ahead of time making this move at 26! About values, I think when we are fresh from school we want a job to start building our career, we dont have the luxury to find a company with values aligned to ours, but as we get more experience and also more comfortable with ourselves, we look for something better aligned with us. That was long and I have so much more to say! I'm happy you did that for yourself! and even happier bc its just the beginning of a new adventure for you!
this is so interesting to read because I am Canadian living in the us, and I think in general everyone here is focused on success. I recently went to Italy and it was so interesting to see how life is just so much more different, I can imagine it’s similar to France. It’s so interesting especially seeing people like Celine, you, and others in the comments talking about this because I am almost at the point in my life where everything will change (going off the college, graduating, getting a job, etc) and I know that this will all come very quick. I loved your insight on this because I’m guilty of this too, my days are consumed with thinking about what college I’ll get into, what job I’ll have, how much money I’ll make, etc. and I value your experiences, thanks for sharing, its very helpful for people like me 🥹🩷
I love love love this comment and all the perspectives you’ve shared ❤️❤️ It’s so true about cultural differences! It makes a huge difference in what we value as we grow up because of our surroundings
this is literally my goal and inspiration!!! I’m not happy at my current job, but trying to grow my youtube. I thought this was going to be my dream job right now… but it isnt the case. I definitely resonate with you about working from home..
Your videos are my favorite to watch! I also wanted to say thank you! Thank you for creating content for me and others to watch, I have been loving it and you are my all time favorite TH-camr & I hate it when your videos end 🥹🩷
Thanks for posting this. I’m a few years older than you, in Marketing and am going through a similar situation plus a terribly toxic environment. Today’s my day! I’m quitting, redefining success for me and taking control of my life.
Congrats! I have worked since i was 17. Now I have a corporate job, part time youtube and a mother/wife. I am looking forward to growth my channel and leave my full time job.
thank you so much for this video. I resonate a lot with the feelings of burnout that you were experiencing in my own job, as well as the questioning of this whole "default" path to success of climbing the corporate ladder. it's nice to see that others are on a similar path to finding something more meaningful and suited to them. congratulations on entering this new chapter and I'm excited to see what's in store for you next! also hi from a fellow toronto creator 😊💕
glad to hear this resonated with you, and you're definitely not alone in having these feelings 🫶 thank you for the support and hi back to another torontonian!!
Love this video and your honestly and transparency. Honestly, I feel like a lot of people are faking their successfulness and not being true to themselves. Just having this persona of who they want people to think l they are. It takes such courage and strength to follow your heart and your gut and to have this faith in yourself is so inspiring. You are such an awesome role model Celine. You’re going to be fantastic, no matter what you do❤
The pie you described is the wheel of life! Definitely take a quiz and reevaluate where you are for each section and where you want to be for each piece.
loved hearing your story Celine! 100% can relate, the pandemic has completely shifted my perspective about work and I find myself thinking more and more that "there's got to be more to life". Very excited for you as you navigate the next new and exciting chapter! 💛
Resonates with me too & can 100% relate. Celine and alwaysaik - are you still going to pursue corporate positions or no? What are your deciding factors and ages?
I completely agree! I recently chose to make a change in careers so that way I can learn more and develop my skills while I am still young and can handle the risks.
Literally in the same position...i left my dream job as a firefighter (close to Toronto) to build my youtube channel. it was a tough decision but worth it. Happy for you, Celine.
Great video Celine! Can relate. I made a similar move last year when I quit my corporate job as a lawyer to start a business. All the best on this exciting pathway you have embarked on :) - Jono
Hi Celine, this was a fantastic video. I'm sort of in the same situation. Well I'm trying to change jobs and move some place else. It's great to hear another perspective. I think if there's one thing I've learned from some of my friends it's that money will almost always come back to you, time won't. Enjoy this new and exciting chapter in your life!! :)
I'm 40 and I'd love to stay working for one company for 5, 10, 15 years but work can get to you. The environment, workload, lazy colleagues, double standards can affect your happiness at work and make you question whether you should stay or go. I was unhappy in my job before the pandemic and experienced burnout during the pandemic and left my job of 4 years in mid 2021. I consider myself an intensely loyal person and employee, but my happiness and mental health are #1 to me.
Wonderful update. I feel fortunate coming upon your channel not that long ago, and watching you pretty much waking up. I'm loving your observations, looking forward to your "postcards" from this new life you're traveling in. No, it's not that I'm further down "the road" than you but I had this same realization many decades ago, that "living to work" was pretty intoxicating stuff and hard to shake off. Our society's designed around it -- You won't win the rewards if you don't play their game. For me, the key was staying awake and learning more about what was deeply important to me. I'm sending you long, strong hugs and smiles -- you're doing the right thing, no matter how hard it gets.
Omg! I just watched your "how to blow up on youtube" video 😮 wishing you good luck on your future 🫶🏻🥰 I feel like a lot of people have been quitting their jobs to pursue hobbies and/or to take care of their mental health 😌
I worked at a marketing agency for years as well, also through covid. I never thought it was a dream job but i was really good at it. The problem is that in agencies, you are gated to one aspect of your client's business. So it gets very repetitive and not challenging. I ended up going in-house and after several years and promotions, i am much happier. Based on whatever you want to do (as a person, not an employee) give yourself the space to just be.
thank you for sharing 💗 I hear you about working in agencies, it definitely depends on the type of agency/clients. glad to hear you're in a better space with your new role 🫶
Good video! I was a real estate agent and quit to do TH-cam full time now In a different country since the cost of living is cheaper, definitely not making what I used to…but at least I’m happier and I have a new found freedom thanks to my channel. Also the TH-cam algorithm is blessing you! I discovered you last month and seen your channel move very quickly in a short amount of time! Congrats 🎉
I just found you and it’s crazy because I literally just quit my and basically had the exact same reason as you. I’m in the process of building my vlog channel also so I’ve been watching your vlogs for inspiration. You’re awesome and totally inspiring. Keep going and wish me luck on my journey as well.
Life is too short to not be happy or be stress and burned out all the time. If you're lucky enough to have a job that you love and doesn't stress you, great! But if that's not the case, a job is just a job, it's just the way we get the money to do what we love and enjoy, so we shouldn't put so much of our sefs and our energy into it (it's my opinion). And definitely, we should not be so loyal to a company because they don't care about their employees, and if they have to fire you, they will (as you saw it in your job). So good for you, girl! I hope this new chapter brings you a lot of joy!
Celine you never fails to bring me smile with your vlogs and I can't say how much I am happy you are my inspiration and I wish you have a best Sunday😁💖💫
I had enjoyed hearing you talk and it made me learned why I still haven’t progressed in my career. I’m surprised to hear that you’re very first job was working at McDonald’s because you don’t look like a type of person who would want to work there, no offense. I also think you’re blessed to have a starting job working at McDonald’s in HS because I always wanted to work but never found my way to the working work at a young age like you. You’re also lucky to be in a program in HS where you can get a job/internship because if programs like those existed in my HS I would sure join instead of struggling with finding work myself. Lastly, it was interesting to hear your reflection on the burnout and I’m really shocked how you saw through it instead of continuing to see things as it. I’m looking forward to your solutions on quitting a job without a job lined up since I’m struggling this myself right now.
You're still young Celine! You will have many opportunities to work & be good at what you do, as you have the determination to do well! A job is never for life, but a stepping stone in your career advancement! All the best!
by "doing what we are suppose to do" as suggested by others. I went to k-12, college, got degree, and got my degree job in Construction Management. Only later to ditch it all because it was not what i wanted after following so called wisdom from others. Now I do what I want, but i can only do it when I started to do everything myself and listen to myself, I self taught myself in investing, photography, dancing, writing, and now I do it all. No thanks to schools which i think is a total waste of my time and education.
Your discovery that businesses, none of them, are loyal in return for employee loyalty was the key. Whilst I, like you, want to be loyal and feel it is the way to be (it is integrity as far as I am concerned), companies do not give a stuff about us. They will do what suits them. Therefore we should all do what suits us. It is sad, however every company is literally cold and soulless. We owe our employer nothing.
Celine, you have just described my life perfectly but with a couple differences. 1. I was a systems engineer 2. I’m a bit older than you so the story ends with me taking an early retirement. I managed my assets well enough that I made that possible. I’m going to share this story with all my friends. Thank you 🙏
I am quitting mine on the 23rd. I want to explore the entrepreneurship side. I am going to work at a position that is less taxing and save up to start a business. wish me luck
I quit my job today without a back up job either. Toxic work environment, no leadership, people calling out 10 plus times a month, people weren't putting in effort to learn anything. I'm 20 years older than you are, but I don't care. If I'm unhappy, that's it, I leave and move on. I'll find another job I'm not worried about that. I'm in the process right of getting hired and it'll take a little bit of time.
@@Celinelikedion I haven't had many jobs because I committed. That job I had was the worst work environment I've ever been in. I just didn't like get up and walk out. I tried taking to the managers etc...and they all ignored me, then I walked out.
Love this! I get 300+ vacation hours yearly at my present job, which I sparsely used because I was a workaholic… well after the pandemic I started taking whole months off at a time and visiting country after country. Perspective on life changed!
Hey Celine forgive me if I've said this already but as a producer and audio nerd it intrigues me how you hold that mic 😂. Is that microphone wireless? Anyway I think this video has an original approach to a topic about 9 to 5 jobs that's been discussed a lot since the pandemic. They call it The Great Resignation. I get it. I admire the millennials and Gen Z being so bold and courageous to want something different for their lives. Change. It's interesting that a person said this generation always wants change. Uh...what's the alternative? Change is constant. With change you can get dressed to go outside and meet it or be comfortable in your home and let it break in your house. It will knock first. I've been working for someone all of my life because going to college or getting a job was the only option for many generations. Times have changed and I'm excited to break these chains. If you see full articles from me in your comments I apologize I'm also a writer. I appreciate you for always taking your time to reply back with thoughtful engagement that's real conversation. Many channels it feels like a robot is typing the basic reply back. It's nice to hear back from a human that types more than 3 words. Thank you. Another great video! P.o.p.
thank you!! the long comments are always welcome, I always appreciate your feedback and insights 💜 completely agree, the great resignation definitely made a lasting impact on the workforce. and you phrased it perfectly, “change is constant” that’s what I realized as well also the mic is wired into my laptop ahahah it’s not the best setup but it does the trick for now! 🙏
There is no honour in slaving away for the man to earn a salary that barely allows one to just get by. As you get older, the job becomes enslaving, as family and mortgage commitments take precedence-irrespective of whether it’s a “dream” job or not. Companies validate you with praise and promotions to keep you-no other reason. They are legal entities that do not care about you. Consider yourself a free agent, and if you can somehow get to the US, you’ll double your standard of living and likely your happiness. You are on the way to figuring out life, not just your career. Best wishes 💜
Hello, I’ve been working for an auditing firm for almost 5 years now. I came to the point that if I don’t stay late working or I don’t work on weekends, I feel so down as if I am letting down the Compnay or something like that, I feel as if I am not doing something that is my responsibility. I realized that actually they brainwashed me to think that work is the only thing I can do and if I didn’t work long hours or weekends, I am not doing a good job. Idk if this makes any sense to anybody, but that’s how I feel.
Humanity in a crisis, energy harvesting and vampires everywhere, so wherever we gonna find inner peace and where our souls will feel whole again 🤞🏿🤞🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
It's insane that the coworker said, "Oh, this generation always wants a change". Uh, yeah, because we are seeing that the system isn't working for us. We provide the hard work and grit to do everything for a company, and then the company doesn't reward us for building it up, it fires us. The system is flawed.
if i was a young person these days, i would learn from youtube, library, and books from amazon. I would avoid schools. I think k-12 and college is total waste of time. there are better ways to learn and grow these days without sacrificing your young life.
"Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure." Anthony Robbins Nobody enjoys a life of constant frustration, limitation, dissatisfaction and quiet resignation.
Congratulations for your new gig and with your professionalism and personality you're going to be a star. I've seen many opportunities come your way such as a new city, new job, a boyfriend and you've earned it. Me being a loner, I wonder how your life has changed after getting a boyfriend because you're a loner as well? Take Care
thank you so much for the kind words 🫶 with being a relationship, I think it's about finding the right balance and someone who understands and respects your need for space and alone time 💜 take care too!
I earned less than 1k dollar per month, I still need this job cuz this is comparatively higher salary job in my nation. I just wanna leave here !!…..sarcastically, the cost here are very high ,which costs you 6dollar for a latte (large)
Most companies preach work/life balance but obviously they're being hypocrites. I have found after working for 20 years it's really up to you to create that work/life balance and stand by your principles. If your employer stands by it then great, if not then it's not the place for you. But that takes a lot of life experience to get there. Looks like you have realized this a lot sooner than I did.
you're absolutely right, finding that work/life balance is a personal journey, and it's so important to stick to your principles. it's definitely a learning process, and I'm glad you've found what works for you. thank you for sharing 🌟
No such thing as a dream job. Also, anyone out there, do not quit your job if you can’t afford it! Monday to Friday is for 9-5! It’s what you do outside of it that counts!!!
You quit your dream job because you know that you can always go back and get that job, and salary again if you change your mind. Which is fine, but it should not imply that others can do the same because, most people do not have those options.
I appreciate you highlighting this and completely agree that the decision to leave a job is a very personal one and depends greatly on individual circumstances. my experience is unique to my situation, and it's important for each person to consider their own options and what's best for them 💜
Haha, people in the comments talk about working for years and years and quitting their jobs for their mental health and wellbeing and how brave that is... And here I am at age 28 with no job and no money, only imagining having a stable income to be able to do anything... People are just so privileged to have a job for a long time in the first place.

this was a bit of a surprise update..
Correction: Working to live not living to work.
@@Celinelikedion Np. Yes you're right. Yeah, I like when he speaks.
Thanks, same to you! 🤗
Yes, I can relate. Still struggling. lol But everyone fares differently.
At 27, after working for 6 years and doing really well in the field I decided to quit when I realised that I had attached my self worth with my job. Kudos to you girl, I know it takes a lot of courage to do that!
kudos to you as well!! it's definitely an important lesson to learn how to detach our self worth from work
This video resonates. I’m 29 & I have a few creative side projects going. I’m in the process of creating a plan to quit my 9-5. Life is too short to live unhappy. Thank you for sharing your journey ☺️
you got this! wish you the best of luck on your projects and hope you can do what's best for you when the time is right 💞
The problem is that I had that plan too, then I had a series of medical problems happen. Now that plan has been completely derailed.
I can definitely relate to this. I feel very burnt out & anxious working in the corporate world. Would love to be able to quit one day and do something I love
glad it resonated with you and I wish you the best of luck to pursue a better future for yourself 🫶
Take care 💕
100% agree! thanks so much for the support 🥹❤️
You hit it right on the head with this one
Literally just now learning this at 45 years old. Slowly starting a side hustle that I plan to transition into full-time soon.
If you don’t look out for yourself in this world then no one else will so you have to make decisions that are the best for you
i want to quit my job so this is basically my sign to do it ASAP
👀
I really resonated with this video and your story. I attached my worth to my corporate job so much because that’s what we’ve been taught all our lives in school. It’s also hard when everyone around me keeps pushing that message. Low & behold I got laid off from that job - my first job out of college. It definitely sucks, but if there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that these companies will not be loyal to you even when you’re loyal to them. Love this video, and keep going 🫶
thank you for the support and for sharing your story 🫶💜 I completely agree with your insights
I’ve been working since I was 14/15 and I’m 33 now I just can’t imagine working for the next 32 years :/
thank you for the support 🫶 and I know exactly what you mean and have felt that too at times
That’s what more people are starting to realize especially since we don’t get anything out these jobs besides a paycheck and that’s it
this is such an interesting video to watch… as a 16 year old high school student, it’s good to know what my future could look like because I see my career path going in the direction of business, similar to yours.
Look forward to seeing more content!
thank you for watching! 🫶
I definitely resonate with you about working from home..
so glad this was inspiring ❤️ I wish you the best of luck to get to your goal and hope you also find balance with working from home
Your videos are my favorite to watch! I also wanted to say thank you! Thank you for creating content for me and others to watch, I have been loving it and you are my all time favorite TH-camr & I hate it when your videos end 🥹🩷
thanks so much Maria 🥹🫶 so glad you enjoy the content
You’re going to be fantastic, no matter what you do❤
thank you so much for the support, Brenda ❤️
The hardest part for me right now is knowing what to do next😊
wishing you all the best on your journey, you got this ✨
All the best in this new scary but exciting chapter of your life Celine ❤
thank you for the support! 💞
The pie you described is the wheel of life! Definitely take a quiz and reevaluate where you are for each section and where you want to be for each piece.
The way I gasped when this video popped up omgggg haven’t watched yet but I am already so freakin hyped for you.
loved hearing your story Celine! 100% can relate, the pandemic has completely shifted my perspective about work and I find myself thinking more and more that "there's got to be more to life". Very excited for you as you navigate the next new and exciting chapter! 💛
I've had that exact same thought many times too 🥲
Resonates with me too & can 100% relate. Celine and alwaysaik - are you still going to pursue corporate positions or no? What are your deciding factors and ages?
so relatable. i'm glad you were able to choose what was best for you!!! good luck with this next chapter 💞
thank you Jessie !! ❤️
I completely agree! I recently chose to make a change in careers so that way I can learn more and develop my skills while I am still young and can handle the risks.
Literally in the same position...i left my dream job as a firefighter (close to Toronto) to build my youtube channel. it was a tough decision but worth it. Happy for you, Celine.
that's a huge step, congrats 👏 best of luck on your next chapter too!
Great video Celine! Can relate. I made a similar move last year when I quit my corporate job as a lawyer to start a business. All the best on this exciting pathway you have embarked on :)
- Jono
thank you Jono! best of luck to you as well 🫶
Hi Celine, this was a fantastic video. I'm sort of in the same situation. Well I'm trying to change jobs and move some place else. It's great to hear another perspective. I think if there's one thing I've learned from some of my friends it's that money will almost always come back to you, time won't. Enjoy this new and exciting chapter in your life!! :)
glad this resonated with you! thank you for the support and wishing you all the best with your next chapter as well 🫶
I'm 40 and I'd love to stay working for one company for 5, 10, 15 years but work can get to you.
Omg! I just watched your "how to blow up on youtube" video 😮 wishing you good luck on your future 🫶🏻🥰 I feel like a lot of people have been quitting their jobs to pursue hobbies and/or to take care of their mental health 😌
thank you so much 🫶🥹
I worked at a marketing agency for years as well, also through covid.
Congrats 🎉
WOW huge congrats to you!!! I’m so happy to hear you’re finding the happiness and freedom you were looking for. appreciate the support 🫶
I just found you and it’s crazy because I literally just quit my and basically had the exact same reason as you. I’m in the process of building my vlog channel also so I’ve been watching your vlogs for inspiration. You’re awesome and totally inspiring. Keep going and wish me luck on my journey as well.
thank you for such kind words 🫶 wishing you all the best on your next chapter too!
I hope you enjoy your break! Take the time to rest and reset! Good luck 😊
thank you! 💜☺️
Celine you never fails to bring me smile with your vlogs and I can't say how much I am happy you are my inspiration and I wish you have a best Sunday😁💖💫
thank you!! ❤
I feel the same too, and good point as always. Good luck for your next chapter Celine :)
Thank you for the transparency. We all walk a different journey. Maybe one day…I could walk away from mine 😞
Hi Celine happy Monday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
You seem so honest im in a messy situation myself and need some inspiration
You're still young Celine! You will have many opportunities to work & be good at what you do, as you have the determination to do well! A job is never for life, but a stepping stone in your career advancement! All the best!
thank you for the support! 💜 completely agree
by "doing what we are suppose to do" as suggested by others.
Good for you man and I think schools really failed us
Your discovery that businesses, none of them, are loyal in return for employee loyalty was the key.
Fortune favours the brave. I have no doubt you will see immense growth and prosperity in this next chapter 🙏🏾
thank you for the kind words! ❤️
You did the right thing at the right time!! Good for you!!
thank you for the support 🫶
Yay for breaks ❤❤ so excited for you Celine
🥹 thank you so much Brielle!!
So very brave of you Celine and I wish you every success. Your videos are always so calming and inspiring 💕
thank you for all the support, Laura! 💕🫶
always rooting for you 🥳🥳
thank you 🥹
Celine, you have just described my life perfectly but with a couple differences.
1. I was a systems engineer
2. I’m a bit older than you so the story ends with me taking an early retirement. I managed my assets well enough that I made that possible.
I’m going to share this story with all my friends. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your story 🫶💞
I really appreciate you sharing your story. I totally feel you. Wish you the best
thank you for the support 🫶❤️
Good luck!
I am quitting mine on the 23rd. I want to explore the entrepreneurship side. I am going to work at a position that is less taxing and save up to start a business. wish me luck
I feel like we just have a certain pressure to be a certain way and make a certain amount in toronto. People are working just to survive.
love your videos!
Good luck in your next chapter! ✨
appreciate the support 🥹❤️
I quit my job today without a back up job either. Toxic work environment, no leadership, people calling out 10 plus times a month, people weren't putting in effort to learn anything. I'm 20 years older than you are, but I don't care. If I'm unhappy, that's it, I leave and move on. I'll find another job I'm not worried about that. I'm in the process right of getting hired and it'll take a little bit of time.
sending you positive vibes! it sounds like you made the right decision for your peace of mind 🙏
@@Celinelikedion I haven't had many jobs because I committed. That job I had was the worst work environment I've ever been in. I just didn't like get up and walk out. I tried taking to the managers etc...and they all ignored me, then I walked out.
I hate my job. I want to quit, but I'm old and the landlord needs to get paid. Fuck I hate this.
Celine thanks 4 sharing. The education we get from working corporate, is different earning a degree.
What's your town?😉
I cut my hours at work in half
Thanks for sharing... burnout is real!!
Congratulations on your bravery. ❤
P.o.p.
thank you!! the long comments are always welcome, I always appreciate your feedback and insights 💜
completely agree, the great resignation definitely made a lasting impact on the workforce. and you phrased it perfectly, “change is constant” that’s what I realized as well
also the mic is wired into my laptop ahahah it’s not the best setup but it does the trick for now!
Best wishes 💜
very well said, I completely agree 👏 thanks for the support 💜
My first job was Burger King but yea I feel you on the workaholic phase...wish you the best in what's next for you!
appreciate it! ❤️ thank you for watching
Loved this so mych❤
It's insane that the coworker said, "Oh, this generation always wants a change". Uh, yeah, because we are seeing that the system isn't working for us. We provide the hard work and grit to do everything for a company, and then the company doesn't reward us for building it up, it fires us. The system is flawed.
it's definitely a conversation that's needed - especially as new generations will become increasingly aware of areas to improve the system!
I really love all your videos 🤍🥰
if i was a young person these days, i would learn from youtube, library, and books from amazon. I would avoid schools. I think k-12 and college is total waste of time. there are better ways to learn and grow these days without sacrificing your young life.
You said it man because schools didn’t teach me jack

I used to work at Walmart since I was 18 now I'm 28 I quit my job started working at Casino
Good for you I worked at Walmart for 8 months and got laid off from them it was the worst job based on management
Same and I need to make a video 🎉 congratulations
Brave interesting as well keep doing what is good for you
Spoiler alert. There is no dream job or life.☺️
Congratulations for your new gig and with your professionalism and personality you're going to be a star.
How did you get the money for gym memberships
What is she talking about ???? I'm kinda confused 😮 did she find a new job or something else
Love from Trinidad C.
You're my dream girl. You're beautiful and smart.
Live to work is a gross attitude and I’m glad you broke free from it! Congratulations 😊
Thank you so much! 🌟 It's amazing how much different it feels when we work to live, rather than live to work
I earned less than 1k dollar per month, I still need this job cuz this is comparatively higher salary job in my nation.
Hello
No such thing as a dream job. Also, anyone out there, do not quit your job if you can’t afford it! Monday to Friday is for 9-5! It’s what you do outside of it that counts!!!
very well said!
If you were at an agency literally I get it….
it's definitely not for the faint of heart!
