As a Kyokushin practicer, I have nothing but respect for Kudo practicers. Osu!

And one of the few times I see a KUDO practitioner, practicing judo entry

It depends on the dojo really. The Kishiwada dojo, it’s a part of the usual practice, I can’t speak for other dojos though.

As someone who currently trains in Kyokushin, Kudo is a very interesting martial art, Kudo is pretty much Kyokushin and judo mixed (or just mma with a Gi) I just wish they had Kudo dojos here in the US, very few here, but regardless, at least I'm happy training in Kyokushin!

It is and I’m happy that I found it when I did. Yes, in Kudos infancy, it was kyokushin and judo mixed, but now is so much more than that. As for the Kudo dojos in America, yeah, there are only a handful at the moment, but that may change in the next few years. But if you are interested, I have an online coaching service.

I’m going to Japan in a couple months. Are they pretty open to foreigners training at the dojo even if they don’t speak Japanese? 😅

My Japanese wasn’t the best when I first came to Japan. They are pretty patient with you and want you to feel comfortable. So it shouldn’t be a problem but try to get some basics under your belt. Where will you be going? I live in Osaka

Hahaha, its a different experience, I can tell you that much. It allows for some interesting combinations of striking and headbutts without getting too busted up. Give it a try if you can
